Yeah, it's the dead of winter with temperatures near freezing, but I wanted to try a frozen custard from this Midwestern burger chain which does not have a presence in my area of residence. The location of this Culver's is a standalone building in front of a large supermarket. Access is easy with plenty of parking spaces available. The inside was clean and modern with free WiFi offered. The menu board was divided into columns of the following categories from left to right... Seafood & Salads; Sides & Drinks; Chicken & Sandwiches; Butterburgers; Value Basket Meals; Mixers, Shakes & Malts; Create Your Own; Sundaes, Cones & Dishes. The sequence didn't make sense to me as my eyes were darting everywhere to check out the offerings. The Concrete Mixers sounded heavy so I selected a two-scoop dish with an added topping. The flavor of the day was Raspberry Cheesecake which became one of my scoops with vanilla being the other. Salted caramel was my topping choice. The dessert was served in a small, clear plastic cup. The frozen custard was creamy and dense from the inclusion of egg yolks in the preparation. The cheesecake flavor had enough sweetness that I didn't need the gooey salted caramel. The next time I visit a Culver's, I hope it's during summertime when I can enjoy a shake or Concrete Mixer because the quality of their frozen custard is very good. I do have to say that the efficiency of the workers here was solid as they processed my order and made the dessert rapidly.

In the area to catch up/visiting with family and looking for lunch on this day.. Culver's was in the prime location. Drove up to drive thru and was greeted promptly. Ordered and waited while 10 mins + it was made fresh. The order was delivered to the car after I pulled forward. The cost was reasonable and the food was piping hot. Its a pretty good location and I will return when in the area. Respectfully, Bryan OKC Which needs a Culver's in our area!!! (Justsayin)

McDonald's is the bar at a 3 star, A&W and Checkers are 4 stars and now Culver's joins the ranks as a 4 star fast-food place (I can't give fast food 5 stars i just cant). Their fish sandwich is absolutely goated. It's up there with Checkers and A&Ws who are my two favorites but it's a very different sandwich nice big piece of fish. Their fries are weak but had crisp and crunch nothing special. Cheese curds were solid but I prefer A&Ws, but the shrimp basket was A1. Excellent. The concrete mixer was solid and has McDonald's broken ice cream machines beat for sure. The only knock I have on Culver's was the tables inside were all dirty like someone's got to come by and clean them up occasionally.

I had been meaning to try this place for the longest so it was the lucky winner for the day. Upon entering, the ice cream parlour is meticulously clean and looked very whimsical 10/10 branding, almost ridiculous for the fact it almost 6pm and it looked like it was ran by one old man for a very long time. I asked him a few questions like what was his favorite and although he answered somewhat pedantically, (claiming every flavor was amazing and that they've been in business for over 20 years) i ended up getting a sundae dasher with Oreo and peanut butter and it was delicious! It taste like McDonald's soft serve but taken to another level and the fudge and peanut butter was fresh and hot. It was a bit on the expensive side but I do feel like you get enough to satisfy what cravings you have with the small. I will definitely be back!

I just did not realize that Carvel existed outside the East Coast so when one showed up on my social feed - oh, happy days. And I had intended to stop by, many times, but somehow always had other things going on. So when I saw the sign en route elsewhere, I pulled in for a tasty treat. At this location, there were several freezer cases with pre-made treats. However, I was more interested in the colorful treats advertised in the store and went with the Bananas Foster Sundae Dasher. Imagine creamy vanilla soft serve with caramel sauce, diced bananas, and crunchies. Yum. Next time, I also plan to get a sundae with strawberry-flavored soft serve. Service was friendly and efficient.

Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

If you are looking to a quiet place to gab with your gal pals, this is the place! There was only ONE food item I tried that was worth consuming, except you can't really take it with you - the hot fudge on the ice cream! Please sell this in jars, the taste rivals Sanders! But, everything else I tried? Barely edible. Sampled 4 ice cream flavors , just because I was trying to find one that was palatable, settled on vanilla because I felt bad sampling more flavors...the ice cream is very poor quality. Being a Michigan company, I am surprised that they don't have Guernsey ice cream? That would be a welcome improvement for sure! Purchased 3-4 chocolates to go, I think one with cherries, another with maple, maybe a coconut, and a Buckeye. Let me preface this with the fact I love chocolate...after one bite of each, I threw them away. And the Buckeye was so revolting I automatically spit it out...what kind of peanut butter tastes like that?! I wish you were better, Alpine Chocolate Haus. :(
