Yea they did not know what they were doing. As a retired Culvers worker, I knew exactly how to order. I wasn't sure if the drive thru screens were lagging, as it kept going black, but my order was messed up. I ordered a kids cheese butter burger with "everything" on it (NOT JUST THE WORKS) and had to correct the worker after he input just the works for me. I also redeemed my custard token for vanilla with brownie (as my plan was to eat the brownie bits and use the rest of the custard for my rootbeer to make a float) but "cookie dough" was input instead of brownies. This happened at around 9:50PM last night . While the worker was reading it back to us, he even said "brownie" but my receipt read cookie dough. Disappointed but not surprised. read more

This review is for this location only. And as a preface, I frequent several Culver's locations on a somewhat regular basis. And the Culver's burger is either #1 or 2 on my list of favorite smashburgers, depending on my mood. Plus I eat far too many concrete mixers, so to say I'm a fan is an understatement. But this location unfortunately is a touch subpar compared to others in the area and I say that based on 3 things. 1) their drive thru is the slowest I have encountered. There have been times I've waited 20+ minutes for orders. 2) as I said above I frequently order concrete mixers. This location virtually never fully mixes the cup. It's the norm to have no mix ins in the bottom half. 3) Compared to the other locations I frequent, Canton is the most expensive. Specifically the base cost for their concretes, and the cost of the extra mix ins. So tied to #2 above, this location charges more for a more inferior product. I've been coming to this location for years, ever since they opened. In the beginning the owner was there all the time and he was on top of service. It's now been a couple years since I've seen him. Lance, if you are reading this, the store could use your attention again. I say that as a fan. read more

Culvers is my go to spot whether I'm at home or on a trip. Canton is my favorite one. My daughter & I have our girls' lunch there most every Friday. Their crinkle fries make my day. The staff is always happy & helpful. Our "usuals" are chicken tenders, shrimp, or grilled chicken. We have too many custard favorites to choose from. Convenient location at Canton Center and Ford Road in the Meijer parking lot. Enter from the lot, Canton Center or Ford Road. The place is very clean and looks good, as expected. Service was friendly and very quick. A bit busy about 5:30pm on a Sunday evening. The burgers were just OK. A bit dry, without flavor and not hot, just a bit warm. Fixings were on-point though. Fries were very good as was the Concrete Mixer. The self-serve beverage station area was clean and the choices are numerous. Yeah, it's the dead of winter with temperatures near freezing, but I wanted to try a frozen custard from this Midwestern burger chain which does not have a presence in my area of residence. The location of this Culver's is a standalone building in front of a large supermarket. Access is easy with plenty of parking spaces available. The inside was clean and modern with free WiFi offered. The menu board was divided into columns of the following categories from left to right... Seafood & Salads; Sides & Drinks; Chicken & Sandwiches; Butterburgers; Value Basket Meals; Mixers, Shakes & Malts; Create Your Own; Sundaes, Cones & Dishes. The sequence didn't make sense to me as my eyes were darting everywhere to check out the offerings. The Concrete Mixers sounded heavy so I selected a two-scoop dish with an added topping. The flavor of the day was Raspberry Cheesecake which became one of my scoops with vanilla being the other. Salted caramel was my topping choice. The dessert was served in a small, clear plastic cup. The frozen custard was creamy and dense from the inclusion of egg yolks in the preparation. The cheesecake flavor had enough sweetness that I didn't need the gooey salted caramel. The next time I visit a Culver's, I hope it's during summertime when I can enjoy a shake or Concrete Mixer because the quality of their frozen custard is very good. I do have to say that the efficiency of the workers here was solid as they processed my order and made the dessert rapidly. read more

In the area to catch up/visiting with family and looking for lunch on this day.. Culver's was in the prime location. Drove up to drive thru and was greeted promptly. Ordered and waited while 10 mins + it was made fresh. The order was delivered to the car after I pulled forward. The cost was reasonable and the food was piping hot. Food is usually good, if they remember your whole order. Always something wrong with the orders at this place. Tried going inside rather than to drive through recently and they STILL forgot the Cole slaw! Think this was the 3rd or 4th time this has happened. And incidentally Cole slaw portion has gone down in size by at least half. Inside wait for ONE meal was over 20 minutes! Should not take that long to prepare this type of food. On this visit the manager (female) was actually working packing orders/expediting which was a change. McDonald's is the bar at a 3 star, A&W and Checkers are 4 stars and now Culver's joins the ranks as a 4 star fast-food place (I can't give fast food 5 stars i just cant). Their fish sandwich is absolutely goated. It's up there with Checkers and A&Ws who are my two favorites but it's a very different sandwich nice big piece of fish. Their fries are weak but had crisp and crunch nothing special. Cheese curds were solid but I prefer A&Ws, but the shrimp basket was A1. Excellent. The concrete mixer was solid and has McDonald's broken ice cream machines beat for sure. The only knock I have on Culver's was the tables inside were all dirty like someone's got to come by and clean them up occasionally. read more

Hard to believe I have never been to a Culver's before. But there are none in the city where I live and the closest one is almost 30 minutes away and we are rarely in that town. Also, it is a chain more local to the Midwest. But I have heard lots of good things from our hosts as a great place to get a quick fried fish sandwich. On our way into Detroit to visit a local theme park like facility, we stopped to have lunch first. The sandwiches were as described, large and whole cod filets not fabricated patties like some others. We also had some sides and the onion rings were especially good. I am not a fan of crinkle cut potato fries and these did not change my mind. The group at the table decided to get some fried shrimp to share, and though tasty, a lot of batter for the size of the shrimp. One member of our party chose the corn dog which was mostly devoured but also had the applesauce and chocolate milk as her child's meal, did not leave hungry. The place was very clean and almost new looking, and there was a huge curved corner booth which served our party size well. Especially for sharing. We also purchased a variety of standard options for drinks. If in this area again, I would be happy to stop here again and if I am near the one not far from home I will do a comparison test of CO vs MI in menu prep of same items. This location of Culver's is one of the nicest I've been to. We go to this location at least once a week and though they are short staffed, the staff are always pleasant and seem happy. The food is always fresh and delicious. The last time we dined in as a family, the manager on shift (I didn't catch his name, but he was a younger male) was extremely helpful, spoke to my kids and genuinely cared how our experience was. On my way home from work decided to get Culver's. I have never really had a bad experience at any location, and this one just happened to be the closest to my current home. First time at this location and it opened last year. I have to say though, I'm a bit disappointed by this recent visit. I'm factoring in that it's later in the evening and the employees are probably tired after a long day, but the person who took my order in the drive-thru seemed to have a difficult time following me. I asked for two butterburger meals and she initially charged me for just sandwiches. I had to correct it at the window, which wasn't a big deal and thankfully the food came out relatively quick. When I got home I was very much appalled by the state that my burger was in. It just looked like it was haphazardly put together. I asked for lettuce and there was absolutely nothing except for a small leaf on one side. Onions weren't appetizing either. But I did like my burger anyway and the fries were nice and warm, just not the highest quality Culver's meal I've had. So happy we have a Culver's in town! I find their menu to be somewhat limited, but they have a nice selection of burgers, chicken/chicken sandwiches and other sandwiches. I love their sourdough melt, but their regular burgers are also fantastic. I love how you can add/delete anything you want on the burger. Last time we visited, my mom loved their pot roast sandwich. TERRIBLE SERVICE! I had a drive thru order for a cheeseburger meal. When I got home (7min drive), my food was COLD, burger was so thin it had holes & it was burnt to a crisp. I immediately called and spoke with the manager on duty named Sean. He told me he couldn't do anything for me but asked me to call back the next day & speak with the owner Lance. I called the next day, he wasn't there. Called the following day, he left early so explained again the situation with manager named Dashia (sorry, I'm sure it's not spelled correctly) she was nice but again told me she couldn't do anything but she took my name & number to give to Lance. I have not heard from Lance or anyone from the restaurant. I just wanted a refund or a credit for my order. I had to throw everything away. Waste of my money & time. read more

Ordered bout $50 worth of food & 3 of our meals were made incorrectly. Of those 3 items they were supposed to have Bacon on them, none of them did. Also one of the 3 items was requested certain items taken off. Not a great first impression of this new Culver's in Canton. read more

Last time I had Culver's 3-piece walleye dinner with french fries and coleslaw it was tasty. It's alot of food so I ate one piece of fish for lunch along with some fries and cole slaw and took the rest home to share with other members in my family.. Sadly today I ordered the same meal along with a soft drink and the fish and fries were so bad (way to fishy tasting, breading was so greasy I couldn't eat it) and even the fries were off. The soft drink tasted like carbonated water. I usually refrain from spending over $7 for lunch but in this case it's usually lunch and dinner for $21. Well, I ended up throwing it ALL away. Wasted alot of money. Usually have better luck but I don't think I'll be getting anything from Culver's again. read more

Aweful. Entire family got food poisoning from the chicken. Only eat ice cream there now. Went to the drive through tonight. The car in front of me sat at the order screen for 15 minutes and was completely ignored. There were no vehicles in front of him for at least 10 of those minutes and there were 12 cars wrapped around the building. The staff was rude and had no sense of urgency. Then my ice cream was pretty much completely melted when they handed it to me. All in all 45 minute wait for sub-par melted custard makes for a terrible experience. This place is a clown show. Waited for 5 minutes in the drive through to place our $20 order (for only 2 burgers and 2 fries). Then waited 15 minutes with 8 other cars for the order. Order was done incorrectly. Asked for the manager...he offered to personally redo the order himself. After another 5 minutes...he brought out another order...again done incorrectly. I requested a refund of the order...he then had to call the store owner (evidently as a manager he has no discretion, which is quite odd). 5 more minutes later, we were offered some vouchers worth about $4 off our next visit. Not sure what has happened since they opened. There used to be friendly staff and the restaurant was spotless. The last few times we have come in, the kids working are all busy texting on their phones, standing around talking and generally ignoring customers. The dining room was absolutely filthy and I saw 3 workers take breaks and just walk around and look at the dirty tables and walk away. All this and yet there was a sign that they were closing early due to staffing shortage. Haven't seen the owner in a while- he needs to be present and keep an eye on his staff. Quality of food is also declining. Overall very sad- this is my daughters favorite place but between the staff changing over and the food we don't come as often. read more
