The butter burgers here are great, classic American burger. You can't not like the cheese curds here either. They have custard instead of ice cream, which is smoother richer and just better. I've come to this restaurant about 12 times since I moved to Buffalo Grove, and 11 out of those times my order has been screwed up one way or another. The only reason why I still come here is for all of the coupons and free meals they've given me for screwing up my orders. Love Culver's! Always greeted kindly by all staff. This location was remodeled about a year ago and decor is modern & great looking. Have you tried their sugarless lemonade? So delicious! Freshness is hands down the best. Their buns are delivered fresh 5 days a week and never frozen. Everything I've tried I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am not a fish/seafood fan but the north Atlantic cod is light, flaky and tasty. The chicken tenders are moist and flavorful. Personally I like a good greasy cheeseburger. Culver's butterburgers can be greasy. Sometimes that greasy burger just hits the spot! It's a good burger. I miss their fried chicken. Not sure why it was discontinued. Try George's Chili. Great chili! Don't forget the cheesecurds. Or the custard. Ask them to taste the custard flavor of the day. Grab your pints from the freezer, 4 for $10. This Culver's location is amazing, very professional, and serves quality food. I ordered food through the drive through and asked for no tomatoes on my burger when I got home I found tomatoes. I called the the restaurant and the manager apologized and sent me free meal coupons plus free frozen custard sundaes. I was happy the manager addressed my issues and made things right. Another incident occurred when I was in the drive through with my son and I ordered food, the restaurant has issues with its vent and had to call the fire department. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and offered to refund my money. I asked if I could back later for the food and the manager said yes. To my surprised when I came back, the manager remembered me and comped two meals for me. Now this is what I call exceeding customer's expectation. read more

Great frozen custard. They have walleye when in season. Chile is outstanding, and the butter burgers are very good.

Went inside to order carry out. Tons of employees but only two taking customer orders. Ordered a walleye dinner and a walleye sandwich platter. Waited over 15 minutes for the food. Of that, the food sat on the counter (not Under a warmer) for 10 minutes. In the interim an older gentleman was apologizing to customers for the wait and was very nice and polite. He started to help serve the food, but the other man was incorrectly plating/traying food. When the other man would tell him, David would raise his voice and tell him to get over himself. The place was filthy. The one man said the garbage cans were over full. David said to push it down. What a sh_t show. Trust me in over 15 minutes we saw more than we wanted to. Got home and of course the food was ice cold. Will never go back there. Can't wait for Lincolnshire location to open. Just tell me different ownership. read more

I have given this restaurant numerous chances I have ordered numerous times and gotten the wrong orders gotten home been disappointed and tonight was the final straw I ordered a simple chocolate ice cream cone and instead when I got to the window I got a cup of ice cream it's not what I ordered it's just that simple! All I wanted was an ice cream cone I didn't want a scoop of ice cream I wanted an ice cream cone! I went to this Culver's late on a Sunday evening, about 10:30PM. I was pleased that they were open until 11. I ordered 2 Atlantic cod entrees and after paying they asked me to pull up to wait for my food. I waited maybe 10 minutes, I didn't find this to be excessively long as I know they make the food to order and it isn't sitting out under a heat lamp. When the man brought my food out, he handed me a free pint of custard and said it's on the house and he was sorry for the long wait. I have never seen a fast food restaurant do this, I was very impressed. I'm not sure if he was a manager or what his position was but he clearly cares about customer service. I've never had a bad meal at Culver's. I've eaten at various Culver's perhaps 80-100 times, and Culver's is my quick-service restaurant of choice. This Culver's was no different, but it had an exceptionally friendly and accommodating community atmosphere, which I appreciated. My wife was very pregnant (less than 10 days from the due date), and our previous baby showed up 12 days early...so I was nervous. She was attending 3 days of training nearby, and I was driving her back and forth from Dekalb to Riverwoods every day (to keep close to the local doctor / hospital at night). I can only shop so much (I can get bored at a mall in about an hour), so I hung out at this restaurant each day for several hours. The manager made me feel welcome, and recommended a quiet location with an outlet for my laptop. I ate lunch there all 3 days. One day, there were 5 tables of Mahjong players (4 per table)...they used Culver's as a local social club. The manager knew many of the players and welcomed them (most of them ordered food) . The restaurant was busy during lunch, but not "crowded"...there were always seats available. It was nice to have a place to hang out without feeling like I was loitering. read more

I just had a horrible experience at drive through. The girl at the window was so rude, I have never seen anyone treat another person so unprofessionally. She gave me a $10 bill ripped in half, and when I asked for a different bill, she told me "I think you ripped it", I then asked for her manager and she walked away, 40 seconds later, another teenager came over and gave me the rest of the order. I asked what the incredibly rude girls name was, she said it was Joanne, but somehow I think she was lying. I find it very disturbing to have people that rude towards others, obviously hate their job, to be serving anywhere. first ever yelp review....have eaten at this culver's since it opened. several weeks ago ordered the walleye sandwich to go for my mother. totally shocked when her first and subsequent bite contained fishbones in this "filet". obviously threw out the entire sandwich. filled out culver's lengthy complaint form on their website, including the exact time & transaction number from the receipt. certainly expected some sort of a response. an apology would have been nice. have received no response at all. so much for marketing themself as a friendy and considerate business. culver's corporate obviously does not really care about their customer's experience. will never eat at culvers again. don't eat the fish if you don't want to choke on your sandwich! read more
