Poke Hale is soooo delicious! Hubs and I were craving sushi, but it's pretty pricey these days and we've had some "off" meals at our usual places we decided to have poke instead. Poke Hale was our favorite and yet somewhere along the way it fell off our radar as places to eat. Well, we are back!!! Our order can be easily made online. Hubs and I go with the Build-your-own Bowl. A regular bowl allows 2 proteins and a large bowl allows 3 proteins. We can have a reasonable amount of adds in and toppings. We started with appetizers of edamame, shrimp tempura, and Crab Rangoon. All were really good, there was a good amount of edamame for the order. Everything was fresh and hot! The portions of the poke bowls were generous and filling. The Hale Ginger dressing was SO DELICIOUS!!! Service was friendly and quick. We placed our order online and picked up. The woman at the counter was appreciative of our order, doubled checked to make sure we weren't missing anything, and thanked us for choosing their business. She was so nice! The inside and outside were clean and comfortable. There are tables for dine in. Plenty of space for people to stand without bumping into each other while waiting to order or waiting for our order. We will certainly be back! Not only is this such a well priced meal, it was absolutely delicious! *No pics - I forgot as I was really hungry and it was all really good! read more

This was my third visit to Poke Hale. I started to order the Tuna Lover's Bowl and the server suggested the Volcano. I followed her suggestion and it was really very good. Poke Hale is consistently good. I've never been there when it is crowded so I hope they are doing well. They certainly deserve people trying them. (If you aren't into fish, they have a vegetarian bowl as well as other proteins.) read more

I love this place. It's always fast and efficient, and honestly my go-to poke spot because everything tastes so fresh and way more flavorful than other places. One time I asked for no seaweed, and the woman working was so sweet she suggested edamame instead, which I loved. Little things like that make such a difference. So good every time! read more

Last time eating here for a while, I had a poke bowl and me and my sister both got very bad stomach ache after sharing it...

Fire!!!!! This place did not disappoint!!! I got a burrito and the chicken katsu ‍ so yummy the food is worth the drive. Service was quick and very nice. The ambience was very cute. They did call to confirm the online order as well which was nice. 100/10 can't wait to come back. Chowed it down too fast to post photos read more

Staff is always very friendly and attentive. I generally order pickup, and my food is always made right on time. The interior is pretty bare, but clean and spacious. Food is always well prepared and serving sizes are generous. Shrimp dumplings are a little bland, but the poke bowls are great! Would recommend! read more

I was admittedly a little apprehensive about this place, but when we saw the positive reviews we figured it was worth a shot. Being gluten free and pescatarian, I wanted to be sure I could safely eat here and the staff was awesome. They walked me through my options and were very knowledgeable about my restrictions. I felt totally safe placing my order, which was prepared quickly. We ordered for take out and ate at home. It was seriously so good. The food felt fresh, flavorful and filling, but left me wanting more because it was so good! My husband joked that he wanted to cancel our dinner plans the next night so we could get this again. We will definitely be back and this will become a frequent stop in our take out rotation! If you're looking to eat there, there's plenty of seating indoor and out. The restaurant is clean, spacious and open. read more

This is my go-to lunch spot by work. Not only is all the fish fresh and tasty, the portions are great for the price!! I always make my own regular bowls and mix both rice/salad and tuna/salmon. This option is great to try more in your bowl. The options are plenty for the bowls. The miso soup is good as well! Their online to go order system is great. Service is kind. Plenty of seating inside. Highly recommend this poke spot- one of the best in the Chicagoland area! read more

I really like this place! Their bowls have everything I want in them. I need to remember to tell them to go easy on the sauces because they get kinda salty. Super fresh quality fish and portion is quite good as well. Love it!! read more

Hubby has been raving about this place for a long time now. We had some time before an engagement and we decided to grab a quick bite before. I'm not a big seafood eater so I was somewhat skeptical but I was ultimately impressed and glad I tried it. I tried the shrimp bowl. Plenty of shrimp in the bowl. I wish they had given more tomatoes but I can give better directions next time. I tried whatever sauce Tony ordered for me; he said they also have a garlic sauce which I'd like to try next time. I wish they had meals that included a drink (next time I will be sure to get a drink). Overall, two thumbs up. It probably won't be my GO TO due to the price, but overall it was good. I'm glad I tried it. read more

Their food might be the best thing, they offer a wide variety of healthy foods have a diverse range of both greens and proteins. The service has been one of the best since 2002. I love the aesthetics and ambience of the place. Overall, 10/10 the only thing I would want more is perhaps bubble tea sincerely yours truly Max Aduana read more

Poke Hale is my go-to for everything poke. They also have fire sushi burritos and a great selection of appetizers and entrees to the point that I consider Poke Hale an actual restaurant, not just a quick stop. The Tonkatsu is incredible, the Takoyaki is a must have, and if your not into fish, this is the only place I've had a poke bowl that offers cooked chicken. The portions are huge, the service is friendly and amazing and the food is always fresh. What more can you ask for? read more

A reliable choice when you need a tasty poke bowl at a bargain price. Poke Hale offers a good number of different protein and topping options, and fills up bowls to make sure that you are well fed at the same price as getting one roll at a sushi restaurant or getting grocery store poke bowls. The fish is not the most amazing you'll get out there, but compared to similar priced options it's fairly good and the scoop sizes are generous. The sides and toppings are probably the strength here, as they are fresh and delicious and give you lots of good ways to create delicious combinations no matter what protein you choose. I ordered carryout here and found that my bowl was well constructed with a logical placement of fish on the side, add-ins evenly divided around the center and middle, and toppings evenly distributed as well. The sauce was also spread throughout and not excessive (so it wasn't too wet or mushy, and didn't override the other flavors). The seating area is surprisingly large both inside and outside, with tables not too densely packed next to each other. Service is friendly and helpful as well. Overall, a good option for a value based poke bowl craving. read more

This poke place is on my top 3 list. The portions are generous for the price you're paying. The fish is fresh and the sauces are delicious. Their spicy mayo is top tier and the amount of toppings you can get on your bowl is fantastic. I love how you have the option to do a sushi burrito too. It's rare to find that in the suburbs. The owners are so incredibly nice as well. Their quality remains consistent and i've never been disappointed whenever i've gone. If i lived closer it would 100% be a weekly meal for me! read more

I stopped by to pick up a poke bowl this afternoon for lunch. The ingredients are all fresh and my bowl was really delicious! The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because they seemed all over the place. I'm sure they were busy preparing orders from online delivery, but that should not impede with a customer stopping in to place an order. I will definitely have a poke bowl from them, but I'm not sure I will go in to get one. read more

Lots of options here, and the price is right! In addition to poke bowls, they also have some appetizers & sides available to order: Crab Rangoon, Shrimp Tempura, Fried Calamari, Edamame, Ham Musubi, Miso Soup, etc. That's fun! I built my own poke bowl, although they have quite a few "signature bowls" to choose from if you don't want it custom. All of the ingredients were nice. And there's so many sauce options! I really like the Hale Ginger sauce - yum. Ordering is straightforward & easy. Service was fast & friendly. And my poke bowl was beautiful & yummy. Plenty of seating indoors. The outdoor patio looked like a beautiful place to eat (in warmer weather). I had trouble finding the shop - it's right next to Starbucks. But I'm sure glad I found it; this is good poke! read more

This is like the Chipotle of Poke Bowls. You can go on and choose your bowl and add whatever toppings you want. The process is easy, choose your base, proteins, and then toppings and sauce. I purchased a large and small bowl. The large bowl comes with 3 proteins, the small improvises you with 2. The brown sticky rice was good and mixed well with the poke. You can also purchased bowls that are already designed to fit certain pallets and they make each bowl to order. I also purchased the shrimp dumplings, seaweed salad and miso soup. The soup was disappointing because it tasted bland. However, everything else was flavorful and generous in portion. This is very filling and suffices the "light" and "refreshing" flavors you might seek when getting sushi in a bowl. For a quick service sushi grade restaurant, this is good. I would say each bowl can go for $11-15 each, which can add up if you put on additions with cost, but it's a good and easy fix if you don't want to spend a ton of money on sushi. read more
