My kids, especially my 15 year old daughter, are big fans of Poke Bros so we usually end up here for lunch when we're in the area for one of their tennis classes. It's clean, fast, healthy and has lots of different options so all 5 members of my family tend to be happy eating here. It's also never very crowded so there's no problem finding a table and getting in a quick lunch. I tend to switch up my order each time, but usually get light rice, a bunch of veggies and a protein (shrimp on this last visit). It's very filling and tasty. I have always had a good experience going to Poke Bros. It's a really convenient location. You drive into the strip mall and may need to walk a little bit, but you can always find parking. I have been hear many times but usually just for carry out. I usually order online via the website and the bowls are always waiting for me by the time booked in the orders. I also usually 'customize' the pre-made bowls (always ask to exclude onions) and they always follow the online comment request. The restaurant itself always looks clean and it's nice and quiet, although I'm always in a rush - I never get a chance to really sit down and eat here. Prior to that, I would order on DoorDash and call to have the sauce out on the side because you don't allow special requests on DoorDash but with the disconnected number, there is no way to call the location. We stopped by for a quick family lunch. It was the first time I visited and I consider it to be 2nd tier of the many poke restaurants I have frequented, good but not great. As you enter the tables are generally clean and floors and walls are just starting to show wear if you look closely. The men's room needed to be cleaned despite the fact that the place was totally empty. I understand it's supposed to be lucky but I am still waiting for my wish to come true. The ingredients to put in your bowl of choice are pretty standard but not quite as extensive as some places I've been. And the signature bowls are tasty but nothing special. Protein portions were on the stingy side, 1/2 a scoop each for the Grand Duke or whatever it was I got, but at least fresh. Prices are high in my opinion. Beware that there's no complimentary water and they charge extra for certain additions to your bowl. If I was rating this place on value I'd give it 3 stars. Rating it on freshness and taste I'll give it 4 stars because I want that freaking lucky cat to be nice to me! read more

As you can see by my rating, I thought it was ok. Certainly an option for when I'm looking for something to eat, when I need something quickly, and I'm nearby. I wouldn't go out of my way for Poke Bros. On the upside, the folks working were nice, the place is new and clean. The food was tasty, though there was a little too much of the sauce that enhances that flavor. On the downside, as mentioned by others, the portions are just a little bit small. A nice addition to the north suburbs, there really was no poke place nearby until Poke Bros. Walking in there is a lot of space. The decor has Hawaiian vibes and makes you feel like its summer even in the cold weather. There are a variety of toppings to choose from, you can make your own bowl or pick a preset bowl. I did a make your own salmon bowl and topped it with a variety of toppings. The bowl was decent size for the price and the salmon portion was decent as well. I stopped in for takeout on a weekday for dinner and the place was empty. I was honestly underwhelmed by the topping choices and small portions of each topping added to my bowls, however, the quality was fresh and I enjoyed the end product. I selected sushi rice as the base and they added 2 large scoops into my bowl. The rest of the toppings were skimpy. I also did not feel that the amount of seaweed salad they include is worth the $1 up-charge. I selected the marinated tuna as my protein and enjoyed the flavor but feel it could have been seasoned even more. I got a Poke bowl from here for takeout. I ordered it with salmon and tuna, white rice, and a slew of their various toppings and sauces. While I enjoyed the bowl overall, the one thing I didn't like was that some of the tuna tasted a bit chewy which was a bit off-putting. Otherwise, the bowl and ingredients were very good, especially the salmon. The portion was also pretty generous, comparable to other poke bowl restaurants. To be honest, I think I've had better, so I probably would try other places or places I've been to before that I liked a little better. The poke bowl was not bad, just not the best I've had. Yeah, so we didn't feel like cooking so decided to try PBros. They have a great looking menu and a good trial coupon. We ordered over the phone and picked up two bowls-- one Hula and one build your own. The store is modern and clean and the food was ready very quickly 15 min. After getting home and taking the lid off, the first thing that hit me was the amount of food, which was totally underwhelming vs Chipotle, NafNaf, Roti at a similar price. My hula bowl tasted good but not great-- after a few bites, it was a mash of all the ingredients-- like a sauce heavy seafood salad. Poke Bros just opened in Glenview! I was super excited to try as I have been to their BG location. It is good but the portions for the topping are very small compared to the rice.
