Food was fantastic, though I typically prefer a sweeter sauce with my gyoza than plain soy. The burrito stayed together better than I thought it would, and everything tasted fresh. I get the Hawaiian or Jimmy's. Big portions for the regular. They do come in different portion sizes. Drinks are one size only. No wrong choices when ordering anything from them. The last time i was there, i asked if they would try to make matcha smoothie with boba as it is not on the menu. At first, there was hesitation but they came through with flying colors. So if you are not familiar with this place, they have a large menu but I have only ordered the BUILD YOUR OWN BOWLS. They have little sheets you fill out with exactly only the foods you choose starting with white or brown rice or mixed greens, then all the veggies and some fruit like pineapple and mandarin oranges. Then you choose which sauce you would like on it. This is like your salad dressing. I order one Honey Wasabi and one House Poke. My first time to this place and it was a great experience! It's in the middle of the Deer Park Mall! You have to go to the back of the restaurant and place your order! You can also order online and the pick up area is in the back! They really have the place secure....meaning when your order is ready, it is placed on the shelf right at the door with your name on it in a paper bag! You can't even enter the restaurant because as soon as you open the back door, the free standing shelf is right there blocking the entrance! The menu is printed on a two sided piece of cardboard, one side, you can build your own poke bowl or burrito and the other side has the house creations! Nice place to chill and have refreshing drinks. They have food options too but we tried only the Boba teas. The flavors for both the tea were really good. Honestly i am not able to find very good boba tea places in and around Chicago or may be i am very picky but this seems a decent place. In on of our drinks they did not put ice and it was warm. Hmm. I am a bit surprised by the positive reviews. We did not like most of the food we got in our build our own bowls. The marinated salmon is mostly just wasabi flavor. It's unlike any other poke marinade I have ever had where it's usually a smokey-sweet-soy flavor - this was not that. It's like a soy-horseradish. As someone who doesn't like wasabi, this was really bad. There's also very little fish in the bowl. I got a salmon and marinated salmon combo and there was just a couple bites of fish in the bowl. Instead, my entire bowl was COVERED in edamame and very little other ingredients and toppings. I removed about a cup of edamame because the bowl was so unbalanced in flavor. It was like eating nothing but edamame. Also, the mandarin oranges were bitter which I have not experienced before. Unfortunately this just wasn't good and I probably won't return. I much prefer a different poke restaurant in the area. read more

I had the Tonkatsu ramen ($13), split a Large Jimmy's Creation Poke Bowl ($14) and had smoothie (Pineapple Mango, my favorite) with Popping Boba ($5.50). My friend had the same ramen and another milk tea. We decided to share the large Poke Bowl so we split the bill. Still it came out to be almost $28 per person after tax so it was not the cheapest lunch but I suppose we did have 1.5 entree between us Taste-wise I have no complaints. The ramen was very flavorful, on point and had a good amount of ingredients and ramen noodle ratio. I like that the price included the egg as some places have that as an extra add-on. The Poke bowl was excellent. I could taste everything and can tell they had fresh ingredients including the most delicious avocados. It was so good I was craving Poke again the next day but this place was not too close to me or else I would have made that happened. The smoothie was good as well. My favorite go-to has been Pineapple-Mango. I had it with Popping boba. But overall, the price is a bit more expensive by a couple of dollars across the board. The portion size is pretty generous when you go for a large (enough to really feed 2 people), though it's a little more expensive than some other local options. I thought all the ingredients in the bowl were of good quality and the different elements really kept their distinct textures (cucumbers crispy, crunchy elements were still crunchy, fruit was firm, etc.). The fish inside was of fairly good quality. A nice fattier cut of the meat, though not the best fish I've ever had in a poke bowl. I had the Build Your Own Bowl and was impressed by the amount of choices available. You get 3 proteins (I did cooked shrimp, marinated salmon, and spicy tuna). It all tasted good, and the spicy tuna is pretty much a large smattering of tuna mash and not in defined chunks for anyone wondering. I've been wanting to try this place for some time, so I was excited when I had a free afternoon to do so. I know because of COVID a lot of businesses are trying to figure things out, but with that being said, there is definitely room for improvement here. I walked up to place an order for takeout, but I found out that you can only place online orders. I'll admit that this made me a little aggravated, because I was already there, but now I had to wait an additional 30 minutes by placing an online order. Again, though, I was willing to wait because of everything going on with COVID. I ordered a mango bubble tea and their "Salmon Lover" burrito with seaweed paper. With tip and tax it came to a little over $22.00. A bit of a steep price, but not unreasonable. Once I got home, I unpacked my lunch. The bubble tea was unfortunately watered down, which tells me it was sitting there for a while. It still have flavored, but the ice didn't help it. The burrito was hefty, so it was nice to see they did not skimp on ingredients. However, after peeling the paper back to take my first bite, I noticed that the seaweed did not go all the way around the burrito. Due to this my burrito fell apart immediately after the first bite. Thankfully the restaurant included a fork. While the salmon was good, as were the other ingredients, they were hidden underneath the copious amount of poke sauce. There was way too much, and it just made things messier than needed. Overall, you definitely get your money's worth, but the execution of this meal lacked. My husband and I both got a burrito and these are on the larger side of other places we have been (but also a little on the more expensive side). You do get a TON of ingredients in the burrito, but the fish to other ingredients ratio isn't what I had hoped. I do like that you can totally customize your own meal, maybe will try this next time. The specialty items are pretty tasty though. I ordered the boba (was so nervous because I wasn't sure if my delivery person would spill it and hate me), and it was AMAZING. It has a fully sealed top so it's super hard to spill/ easy to pack if being delivered and transported. Overall, this place has great food outside of the regular sushi experience. Small Place but Yummy My son was the first one to go here and in fact has gone back quite a few times. He said everything was fresh and the portion sizes were adequate. Super clean inside and right when you walk in you can smell how clean it is. Super cute place but tight corridors. Friendly staff and made ordering super easy. Wow - I'm thrilled they opened a location in Deer Park. I've ordered from the Lincoln location and loved it there as well. But Deer Park is a stones throw from my house which is fantastic for me! Finally, poke bowl in the burbs!!!! The food is outstanding - fresh fish, super tasty, and excellent service. We've tried the ramen, poke burrito and poke bowls. All are excellent! My 15 year old is addicted and we've gone there 3 days in a row. The bubble tea is just ok. It's not as good as Tugo in Arlington Heights and costs $5. But that's ok because now my kids can bike ride to someplace better than Starbucks for a drink. The place is small with limited seating. I think there's 4 tables for seating 4 and 4 tables which seats 2. The restaurant is clean and cute. It's not great for big groups but they offer take out. read more

This is a review for their boba/ bubble tea. I'd give this place less if I could. I stopped by today and was treated very rudely. The person taking orders does not speak any English. I stopped by for tea and gave them my credit card only to have it walked away with and kept in back with them for what felt like 6+ minutes as I became more and more nervous that no one was coming back with my out of sight credit card. You do NOT do this. Ever. When he came back he handed me my receipt and card, said nothing and rudely turned his back without even muttering a thank you. I myself said "thank you" to him for making my drinks and he ignored me and kept walking away from the window. When I got home with the tea I ordered, the passion fruit tasted fine but the strawberry was disgusting and tasted like chemicals. My mother complained she couldn't drink from the straw and it was blocked so I investigated. Both drinks had complete clustered balls of tapioca pearls. They were tiny, overcooked/ mushy, and had no flavor. I've NEVER been served a drink this bad. I'm so sad I really wanted a place closer to home to get boba from. But if I can't even trust this place how am I meant to trust them with raw seafood? No thanks. They also have awesome portion sizes for the prices. If you also like bubble teas, shakes, and smoothies, you should make sure to try the ones here!
