The Culver's Bacon Deluxe double and fries
    Matthew V.

The burger was a really good smash burger, nice crispy edges. Bacon was crispy just how I like it. It was a little greasy but that's expected for fast food. The fries were kind of bland, we didn't eat many of them. The floor was kind of sticky, and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest but also not terrible. The frozen custard was too melty for me, once it melts that much it looses its appeal.

I just happened to be in the area after leaving a fitness center nearby, hungry, and in the mood to try something featured at Culver's. I have always had an interest in Culver's, but never had the urge to visit until I discovered the harvest veggie burger off of their website. This Culver's location sits along W Roosevelt Rd nearby a Jewel-Osco grocery store that I visit sporadically. And the parking lot itself is private and there are plenty of parking spots available. Upon walking in the door, I received a warm friendly greeting from two employees who were updating a bulletin board which was totally unexpected. While waiting in line, I had plenty of time to browse through the menu to see what gauged my interest other than the harvest veggie burger. After the customer ahead of me had ordered, the employee took my order, giving off a very unenthusiastic vibe in the process. As visited for, I ordered the harvest veggie burger along with a side of steamed broccoli, and a drink. I chose steamed broccoli in order to try something other than fries. And my order was completed within an acceptable timeframe as I waited for it in the dining area. Service: 4 (Good) I have to say that the relaxed environment, and the fact that I was hungry after my workout put me in the mindset to dine-in. The dining area itself appeared clean with a number of tables and seats available. And I must say that the atmosphere at this Culver's feels very comfortable in comparison to other fast-food restaurants in my opinion. Atmosphere: 5 (Great) As for my order, I felt that the harvest veggie burger could have used a little bit more mayonnaise but that is just me. Other than that, I did enjoy it. Next time I plan to order it with a side of either cheese curds, or crinkle cut fries because that steamed broccoli just did not contribute to me being satisfied at all. Food: 4 (Good) As for returning you bet I will, if I get the urge to try anything that caught my interest, like say uh, blackberry cobbler. Ooouuu, yes! I could not help but salivate after spotting the marquee advertisement of it upon driving out of the parking lot which may lead me back very soon. Service: 4 | Atmosphere: 5 | Food: 4 Recommendations: harvest veggie burger, grilled cheese, garden fresco salad, crinkle cut fries, cheese curds, onion rings, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes & gravy, or garden salad. ~ Oh darling, let's be adventurers ~ Thomas G

It's been over 20 years since I last went to Culver's. I remember the food always being delicious and then service being just as good. While breaking up my commute home from work, I decided to stop in for a bite one evening. I was immediately reminded of why I was a fan years ago. I forgot that the ground beef on the burgers were not like the patties at McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's. The patties at Culver's are like what you get at gourmet burger shops. Love the crinkle fries and since Dairy Queen is a hard find in Metro Chicago, the malts and shakes are the next best for ice cream treats. Add to the prompt service without it being rushed and the return was a winner. I shall make an occasional stop by Culver's on my way home from work.

Great burger but upon finishing, noticed several hairs on the wrapper/box

Great burger but several hairs found in the packaging. Definitely not just one random strand. Multiple hairs found. Very disgusting.

    Ambiance at this particular Culver's.

well it's very disappointing but I'm very blessed that this particular Culver's here is open for dining in all the ones in Chicago are closed which makes me disappointed if not upset I just had to write a review for people who want to eat Culver's and are nearby the Berwyn oak Park area to come down here for dining and because the one up in Chicago by Irving Park it's still carry out as well as the one close to Grand avenue in Elmwood Park which disgusts me that even these big franchises can't even open up an Illinois. Portillo's is another one that I'm disappointed as well as McDonald's for dining in

This place just cannot function when they have a long line. It can take over 30 minutes just to get a scoop of ice cream.

This is a cute little downtown area, and unfortunately, it's barren on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Which worked well for us as we showed up and no one was there. Just us, which gave us plenty of time to sample the various flavors, and chat with the person working in this cute little ice cream shop. They can make all these cute shakes and sundaes with all kinds of toppings, but seeing as we aren't young kids, there's no way we could eat confections such as what I listed above. Instead, we got to try their various flavors. Thinking back, I believe I got a watermelon ice cream. I could be wrong. However, I do remember how juicy, fruity, and sweet the ice cream was. Not sweet like overly sweetened lemonade that puckers one's lips, but like the sweet sensation of a perfectly ripe watermelon, bursting with succulent. flavor. It was like that. And man was it good! If I lived in Riverside or close by, I would be there all the time. So thankfully, we were out for a drive and wanted some ice cream and found this cute little shop. They have a few small tables inside, but what makes this a town square right out of the 1950s are the cute little wireframe tables and chairs they had outside along the sidewalk so you can sit and enjoy your cone, and people watch. And we did just that. If I'm nearby again someday, I'll definitely pop in and grab a delicious cone. There flavor options were plentiful, whimsical, and flavorful. However, for the time being, I'll just post this review and hope others pop in to enjoy the cones and flavors they're providing.

Usually some high school seniors or college kids on a summer job, I think. Today I went and it was early in the season, midday, so I may have been taken care of by the owner or manager, and she was really great. Gave my dog a pup cup and water while I worked on my Dole Whip, even giving me no side eye when I spilled some of the water trying to hold all the cups. Every treat I've had there has been great. My fave is the cherry dole whip. They rotate the dole whip flavors weekly I think. If you go midday there's barely a wait, if any. If you go in the summer right after youth softball or baseball games from like 8pm on, the line will be at least 25 deep. But it's worth it. Did I mention cash only?

We brought our friends and family to enjoy. But the last time we came, I was really let down. None of the games were turned on and I have toddlers who got very frustrated until I came to figure it out. If you ever have been to a real arcade you will be left down by the cheap knockoffs that are here. Plus the Pac-Man game had a broken joystick. Best parts: they have two great Lactose flavors and they will sell you cones without ice cream in them. It's a nice place to grab and go, but don't waste time sitting inside.

I was excited about Sticks and Cones because I had worked at a bubble tea + frozen yogurt for years when I was in high school and college. I was quickly disappointed when I got there. I decided to order a bubble tea / boba, not sure what they actually call it on the menu. (Fun fact: east coasters call it bubble tea, and west coasters call it boba!) I ordered the drink with boba, which is denotes the standard tapioca pearls at all other boba establishments I've been to, but there seemed to be confusion when I didn't specifically specify tapioca pearls, so make sure to be specific. The tapioca pearls were very undercooked. The pearls also didn't seem to be in a sweetener, so they were very plain. What really upset me was when my husband ordered the Thai tea. The person behind the counter did not know how to make it, and when they asked how to make it, the response was, "this doesn't use tea, this uses only powder and water." The powder wasn't very high quality, because when mixed with water, it created this creamy and lack of Thai tea taste. I think this is why that at the place I worked at, we also brewed actual Thai tea from tea leaves to mix with the powder. It also took 15 minutes to make for some reason. It seems that boba is becoming very trendy. It's sad that we are losing out on the authenticity of boba drinks. For the frozen yogurt, I appreciated that there were vegan options. However, what was off-putting was that no one would come around to clean the machines, so you're looking at a melted pile of froyo on the grates of the machines. The counters of the store were in general, not wiped down, even though there were at least a few people behind the counter, some of which weren't actively doing anything. The ice cream is from Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, which I love. Sadly, they're a bit frugal with the serving size, or it was mostly that the ice cream was in too large of a container maybe? So it appeared like it was a smaller size. As for the arcade games, it's nice that they're not actually coin-operated, but then the downside is that you get kids monopolizing their time on a machine. For a new store, it was pretty sticky because nothing is being wiped down in between. You can bring your sweet treats to the games.
