I was in Mexico for 6 months and now that I'm back, Culver's is one of a handful of restaurants that I missed! Here are some thoughts: -I love a good butterburger : ) My wife says it's better than grilling your own. Well... maybe. -If you're hungry, a double butterburger is unbeatable. I love their grilled look and taste. And the buns are high quality. -French fries are crinkle cut, and perfectly cooked. Enough thickness to give you great taste, not too thick. -I love these French fries. Better than McD's or Wendy's. A half step down from 5 Guys, but not greasy. -They have a good selection of drinks. Next to A & W, I think Culver's has the best root beer. They also have a lesser known but excellent sweet tea. -I would be remiss if I didn't mention their cement mixer--custard mixed with your choice of multiple toppings. -It happened to be St. Patty's Day, so I got the Andes Mint Mountain (flavor of the day). This is a fine and typically clean Culver's located conveniently right on Northwest Highway.  We occasionally pass by it but never dropped in until today.  We had lunch, and the wife ordered their limited time walleye sandwich ($9.99) and I got a butterburger with a side of cheese curds. The walleye sandwich was fresh and very good.  My butterburger was pre-made and already packaged for a carryout order it appeared, so it wasn't tip-top fresh and nor piping hot right off the grill.  The cheese curds were ok but a little over breaded and they used both American and Swiss chess for a bagful of mixed curds.  I don't think I have seen American cheese used for their cheese curds before, and it's ok but also not my favorite cheese.  Anyway these little knocks added up to a 1 star deduct from my usual 5 star Culver's experience.  Our lunch was otherwise still quite satisfactory. read more

The food is usually good but this time my burger is super dry and has no flavor. I also have gone to this location multiple times and they have messed up my order the last 3 times I was here. First two times I ordered spicy chicken sandwhich and they gave me regular even tho my receipt said spicy. And this time i ordered a cheeseburger and it has no cheese. This shouldn't keep happening, makes me not want to go to this location anymore. read more

The worst fish and chips that I have ever had. Fish was badly over fried, fries were soggy. They included cocktail sauce instead of tartar sauce. Cole slaw was Ok. read more

This location was always great, but the last couple of times I went here, the food was mediocre at best. Burgers weren't cooked fresh, pot roast sandwich basically cold and I had to bring a concrete mixer back to actuallybe mixed completely, not just one third of it. The only thing that hasn't gone downhill are the fries. Sent an email to corporate and asked for a response about 3 weeks ago, haven't heard anything from them. Consistency in food quality and customer service are a key to a successful business. Culvers has struck out with both. read more

I got a pot roast sandwich here today. The sandwich tasted ok but was barely even warm. The price of the sandwich was $7.49 before 11% tax. Since I figured it was higher than other Cuver's locations as I had found with other menu items, I decided to compare prices. Palatine charges $6.69 and Mt. Prospect the same. One in Schaumburg is $6.59. The Arlington Heights Culver's is price gouging. It's a big price difference. I also discovered that it isn't an individual who is the franchisee (Chuck Martin as they'd have you believe) but rather a consortium of I think 3 individuals, akin to a private equity. I can't believe corporate Culver's allows these price disparities to such a great extent. I don't think I'll be patronizing this location any longer. read more

the service here sucked. i got denied a drink on my meal and also got denied my food right infront of me!! i then had to order cheese curds for my sister which took fifteen minutes. un.accept.able. this service was absolutely terrible to double down on the fact that the food was messed up and not even good quality compared to regularly. the only nice server was molly who gave me my drink back. this place deserves a nice spot on the seventh layer of hell, except molly, she carried yall bums. read more

Once after work I was really tired so I ordered from this fine establishment. I got a butter burger, some curds, and some fries--which is probably gonna decrease my life expectancy by a few minutes--and guess what happened. That friggin' food arrived at my door in like 15 minutes... WARM. IT WAS WARM. WHAT?? There I am watching Comedy Central in my tattered cargo pants feasting like an animal on that steaming hot and melty burger, dipping like 8 fries at once in that boom-boom sauce, and stuffing in those cheese curds; pure ecstasy I tells ya. This is food that you can afford. This is food that is consistent. This is food that NEVER MISSES I SWEAR TO jee oh dee. Don't forget about that frozen custard too. Dairy Queen don't have that combo going for them like Culvy's does. Good food and quality ice cream?! That's a Culver's exclusive. If I'm driving through Illinois or Wisconsin falling asleep at the wheel on the highway, I'm pulling over when I see that heavenly blue and white sign in the distance. I live in Arlington heights. The location is so poorly managed. Every time I come here it's a terrible experience in terms of service. The inside is dirty. A lot of time passes and I try to come back and each time I'm reminded why we do not come here. Today I waited twenty four minutes parked to the side and after all that time decided to walk INSIDE to ask about my order. Confused. Turns out it was sitting there all along just to disorganized to bring it to my car - real effective process. The runner never once bothered to question why I was still out there after 8 cars cleared. The inside was a madhouse. Clearly understaffed. Poorly managed. Do better. read more

Terrific food here every time no matter what! Great job by the Management to handle a "Little League Rush." I ordered in the drive through - even with parking lot at full capacity I received my order relatively quick, and hot off the grill. Delivered to my car with a smile. Will go here whenever I can . Always hot food and quick service. Taking one star off because the dining room is oftentimes messy and not well attended to. It seems like a lot of teenagers come here and cause a ruckus though so that may be why. I've witnessed a group get kicked out before. read more

Drive up window person taking orders and payment is often rude. Two times in the last two weeks.

Great food, service with a smile, clean eating area, clean bathrooms. Great for the town.

Don't always get the orders correct but when they do try the peanut butter milkshake made with chocolate ice cream.

My Guilty pleasure when it comes to fast food. I am glutinous for everything from their Butter burgers, their crispy chicken sandwich, the buffalo chicken tenders, their fried shrimp, of course their creamy velvety frozen custard, and last but not least their own root beer. Their food taste very fresh for fast food like it was just made. Their chicken taste like real chicken not that frozen piece of whatever they give you at other places. Their burgers are juice and delicious. They have a good kids menu which my daughter loves and their chocolate milk is a local brand it's delicious. The don't give a prize with the meal but they do give two tickets one for a free frozen custard scoop with whatever topping they want and also a "Token" if they collect 10 they get to pick a prize from their show case. The prizes are real good quality prizes like a soccer ball, kick ball, frisbee, etc. They have a drive thru which moves very fast and after you pay they give you a number you park and they bring your food out to you and it's fairly quick. They also have an outdoor seating are with umbrellas so that you can enjoy the out door breeze while you enjoy your food. The parking lot is a bit small at this location because of the shared area with other businesses but I have never had a problem finding a spot. Overall for fast food this is the place to go the food is good and better quality than other chain fast food restaurants. read more

The woman taking the order wasn't the problem. It was the blonde woman who seemed angry and like she didn't want to be at work. When we stopped in on a Monday night, the place was hopping and the tables were all messy, but that isn't really a huge turnoff. I ordered a butter burger with cheese...no bun, because I'm doing low carbs due to health reasons. It's hard enough doing low carbs and eating out, was hoping this could be a good place.... What came back to me was paper thin patty. No cheese, no lettuce or pickle.... noting. Just a patty. A paper thin patty! It was pretty embarrassing to go out to dinner at that price too.... and get that back to me. Even McDonald's will wrap their $1 cheeseburger in lettuce, put all the fixings and make it look presentable. The lady at the counter did remake it for me, with the cheese like I ordered. This place was well-kept and the people there were super-nice. Upon walking in, one of the workers held the door open for my kids and I. The menu can seem overwhelming (not as uncoordinated as McDonald's and Subway) but there is a lot, lot, lot, lot of items to choose from. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, which was cooked pretty well. It wasn't dry at all and the bun on the sandwich delicious. My kids had the ice cream sundae and Oreo mixer... they both loved it. The waitstaff called my 9-year old, "sir", which he thought was super-cool. Haha. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the front, the bathroom consisted of one urinal and stall. My 6-year old utilized the stall for both needs (TMI) and was to his satisfaction. Urinal was pretty decent, and the soap dispenser dispensed soap obediently. Paper towel dispenser was on-point. Well well well ,, Listening is the key to Success so this visit was a total Pathetic Failure from start to Smart ass Culver's worker finish !! Was a very simple request. Burger, Fries and a Large Iced Tea with extra ice. That's not what happened. The iced tea was small with No Ice. The chick who brought it out was asked for a Large cup of ice for the Tea, so she brings back a Large cup with nearly no ice so I asked her to fill it with ice, her clever answer was well next time we will charge you for a large---New Flash Slick,, I did request a Large , y'all had face masks on yer ears so you missed the mark !! But you didn't get that right so with the first wrong size and the cup nearly void of ice off she goes again to bring back the same large cup full of NO Ice Tea and said sorry she was a smart ass because "we" are always right , whoever We are !! But after 3 failed attempts trying to follow simple instructions damn strait I'm Right !!! So the bag comes out and it's her again. I didn't have the heart to see her fail again so I went around to the drive thru and asked for a large cup of ice for the half gallon of tea that was totally void of ice by now and I'll be a "hog in a Waller" if it wasn't the same friendly smart ass as before. I politely smiled when she finally got a Large cup of ice correct without fail !! If she runs her whole life making simple mistakes over and over she will fit right in at Culver's forever. I seriously seldom go on this fast food but I decided to try this location. I order in the drive thru, there is quite a long line but it is moving quite fast. The staff in there was nice and friendly. I said my order, pay and I immediately got it. It was super quick and easy. The food is fresh and hot and I got burger and some crinkle cut fries and of course their frozen custard ice cream. I just realized that it's been so long since I eat a burger from this fast food and it was so good. I do not know but I just do not feel like eating in here and this is definitely a first time after a very long time. The crinkle fries are hot and crispy and it is well-seasoned. I definitely miss their frozen custard ice cream and it was so good. I am now thinking if I should be back and I probably will. All in all, the service is great and the food was so good plus the price is kind of cheap and still fair. They definitely deserve five stars. read more

I am writing two reviews today, one for Culvers in Buffalo Grove, and one for Culvers in Arlington Heights. One is good, and one is bad. This is the good one. I spent a lot of my time going to other locations, mostly Buffalo Grove. A new flavor came out and went to the Arlington Heights location. It was incredible. Every bite had loads of stuff in it. Next day Buffalo Grove had it, so wanted to get the flavor again. It was basically chocolate with some stuff sprinkled on it. Once you got past the top, there was nothing but chocolate. They really short change things. If you want Culvers, I would recommend this Arlington Heights location. Stay away from Buffalo Grove. Going there again today, so hopefully will have an equally good experience. read more

Note to self: when pulling into the parking lot, if you see the place spilling over with kids post their baseball games...be smart and leave. :) Is their custard delicious? Um - yes. Creamy, smooth and fun to eat. Was the night we went insane? Yes. I felt bad for the staff because they were so overwhelmed by the huge push of customers before we arrived. Burger & everything on it very fresh and balanced taste, nothing skimpy. Tomatoes ripe lettuce crisp pickles icy cold. Not even restaurants can do that. It's like back when people were proud of what went out of the kitchen & chef would follow it out. Their people are friendly on phone, at window & car. Expected usual robotics and they all actually initiated few words of conversation like old mom & pop stores. I realized how accustomed we are to one word answers & a hang up, or those too impatient to look up at you. This place instinctively enjoys people. I was taught to interact with people. yum! this was my first experience at a culver's and i have to say that it was great! i wish there was one in the city. the burger is tasty like a fast food burger should be. the fries are crinkle cut, which i hate, but somehow they managed to make them delicious and non-soggy. the crowning glory of the meal was the cheese curds!!! i've never had fried cheese curds before and they were a magical experience. some are yellow and some are white, like a delicious surprise every bite. the custard was also super good, but i've never had bad frozen custard, so i guess it just didn't stand out. it was delicious! i like that they have a flavor of the day (even though that day it was just a twist with m&m minis in it). everyone here is super nice and friendly. also as a bonus, they have pepsi max in their fountain drinks in case you need an extra caffeine boost. read more

Nice location and I think it is my favorite Culvers so far. I have been to the LZ, Palatine, BG, Mount Prospect and Stevensville Michigan locations and this one for some reason was the best experience all around. LZ is a close 2nd. I tried the raspberry cordial and I do not like cherry cordial candy but the flavor was very nice. Now one off the flavor list I gotta try all other flavors now. We have stopped visiting this Culver's location however it is very close to our home so when we have to we visit. The food is terrible, the facility is always dirty and the employees are never friendly. It is like a factory. Recently, I ordered the pretzel burger and the bun was completely flat and the burger was burnt. We visit the buffalo grove location because the food actually tastes better. The products are fresh and the facility is very clean. Management needs to follow up with their employees on how they clean and follow through. They also need to remind their staff to be friendly and courteous. Overall, this location really needs to be retrained in the kitchen and cleaning the soda area, tables and outside tables. read more
