Had to update here. This is really a good place to go. Really good burgers. On my last trip I was going by here and said I will pick up dinner. I did. Got home and a whole burger was missing. I called as soon as I got home and they stated they will send a coupon for a meal. A whole meal. Ok cool. Got the coupon in the mail and it was for a burger. Now this is for the burger that was missing, but I was still out of a burger that day that I paid for. So this burger coupon is for me go go back and get my burger I paid for. That's cool, but as a company it would seem they would say come by and get a burger and fry on us. . Do you want to visit a place that has a cult following? Why do I say cult following? It's because my intern from Wisconsin drives about an hour each way, from Durham, just to eat here. It's a big deal up there, he tells me. The ambiance is similar to any fast-food place - well any busy fast food place. There was a table nearby with 5 young women after high school (assumption), applying makeup, doing homework. In another corner there is a family of five. There are couples without kids and couples with kids. The service is certainly on the sincere side - sometimes friendlier than other times but only likely due to individual shyness. My son spilled his water all over everyone and the table and floor and the staff quickly helped clean it. My son loves the food (chicken tenders, fries and white milk) and they give you a token for a free custard with a kids meal or you can order it free with a kids meal. Attention to detail and taking self pride in the quality of food you serve. People do not care for food served from a warmer. We want it fresh off the grill, etc. We have visited many times and things have gone down hill. Onion rings are of low quality, burgers served warm and half way on the bun. Very sloppy. There is a lot of hype surrounding this place so I had to go try it for myself. I ordered the Culver's Deluxe and it was fantastic. The meat was so fresh! Onion ring lovers, this place is for you. They are so good and they were fried fresh to order! I took a milkshake to go. Chocolate peanut butter with marshmallow creme. You can make any shake you want, it's entirely customizable, there is some fun in it. What takes this place over the top is the friendly service. Everyone greets you when you walk in, everyone smiles. I love that. John took our orders and he was genuinely happy. We talked about his favorite menu item and shake. This place is also exceptionally clean. I mean a 10 second rule may apply here rather than the standard 5. There is some outdoor seating and I will be coming back when it's warmer to enjoy that. read more

2nd visit- first visit was drive thru. The lines were very long so I had to check it out! New addition to the shopping center. Our first visit was drive thru order. We ordered our food close to closing time and the shrimp was great. Stopped in today and ordered a burger. I like that the menu is very easy to read, they offer salads, chicken fingers and chicken Sandwiches etc. I decided to make my own burger. Single, grilled onions, ketchup,lettuce and tomatoes. I ordered it as a meal. Since it's a new restaurant, the service was really slow. The burger patty was really thin. It actually tasted better than what I expected. Fries were my favorite. I ordered the custard of the day- pecan. It was good but too sweet. Overall a good dinning experience. New and clean place. Staff is friendly which is a plus. The speed is a little slow but that's expected since they are still busty 3rd visit- drive thru was not a drive thru experience. All the cars got a number attached to the door handle and we wait...waited and well waited. Maybe going inside to order would have been quicker. Got home and my burger was missing- fail! Went back and they quickly replaced the Item and they gave us free scoop for next time. read more

A huge fan of Culvers with the exception of service on Friday....ordered 2 concretes to go when I got home 5 minutes later they were not ice cream.....all liquified likely meaning they sat on counter a while before being brought out.....A/C was on the way home so should have only had minimal melting......a big bummer when you pay $11 for 2 concretes. read more

I knew very little about Culver's except that it was a big Midwestern chain, but then I watched a YouTube video by 'Katina Eats Kilos' (she's a competitive eater, very small but can eat her weight in food). She did a challenge where she tried to eat 10 double deluxe butter burgers, a family-sized portion of cheese curds, and a concrete mixer. She was not successful in completing the challenge but loved the food and it made me wonder if there were Culver's in this area. After all, there is pretty much every one of the famous chains in this area minus In-and-out burger and Whataburger and they will probably be here eventually. I checked and low and behold there are some Culver's locations in Apex! Any hoo, on to my review. I ordered a double butter burger, cheese curds, and a drink. The burger was really good, very fresh tasting. The cheese curds were ok. I wanted something different besides fries but probably wouldn't do the upgrade to cheese curds next time (the curds are considered a premium side item). The location is very clean (I think it must be new) with loads of help. There seemed to be one person training another and tons of people working there. I would definitely return to Culver's to try some of their other options as well. The concrete mixers look awesome, as does the fried cod sandwich. read more

For a first time buyer it's confusing. There was a line. The staff forgot my drink. You have to ask for the ice cream or you get a coupon on the kids bag. This was a pandemic favorite of mine because of its quick drive thru service, and even though dine in is now open, it is still an immensely popular drive thru spot. I love both their butter burgers and fried fish sandwiches, and I often pair it with delicious chili cheese fries and a sweet tea. This has to be the best fast casual experience anywhere. We come in quite regularly and the staff quickly took the time to get to know us. Now everyone greets us like we are family when we walk in and they have our regular orders ready to go. The food is incredible and that goes without saying. Smash burgers are my favorite style of burger and this location cooks them to perfection every time. Visited this location for the 1st time And I do not Recommend.. I understand that these are young kids taking the orders however asking for a simple Burger fries and Coke should not be a challenge. Additionally My order was paid with exact change and that was a challenge For the restaurant. The first time I visited Culver's was in 2007 or so, when I wasn't eating dairy and meat together. Hard to appreciate a butterburger without butter. So this time I got the full experience. Double burger, multiple orders of cheese curds, a concrete for the accompanying kiddo. Much different, much better experience this time. The burger reminds me of if McDonald's was extremely high quality: much bigger, beefier, fresher. Very satisfying. The curds? You can't get fried cheese curds anywhere else in this state outside of state fair season. Crispy outside, cheesy inside, what more could you want? The concrete is the standard thick shake with large amounts of giant mix-in chunks. The brownies taste like fudge. Half the cup was brownies. So where could I possibly find fault with any of this? I had heard great things about this midwest chain! I think it was solid for fast food. If I lived near here I would certainly head on in again. To start I loved all the different treat options. So many tasty mix ins and custard options to be had! I also loved that you could get cheese curds as a side, honestly that was my main reason for heading out here. I really wanted some cheese curds!! They were tasty and a fun option for fast food. The burger was also good for fast food as well as the chicken tenders. I liked that the kids meal had quite a few items to it. During these times in Covid there is so many mandates for food safety and this place is not adhering to them. As my wife and daughter were ordering I watched which I assume is a supervisor or manager with bare hands palm a package of onion rings to put them in the divider under the heat lamp. Then he adjusted his mask between his nose and mouth and wipe his hands on his shirt. Then joe cool throws a small container of food which knocks over the onion rings and then picks them back up with his bare hands palms the onion rings and slides them back into the divider so the expediter behind the cashiers could use. Not wearing gloves is a health code violation, adjusting his mask and wiping his hands on his shirt is a health code violation as well. Food spilling all over and repackaged as new is also a health code violation. The food should have been tossed and the employee should be fired! Dine at your own risk going there! read more

I was told this place was good so my family gave it a try WORST place to eat in the town of apex. Ordered a kids meal for my kids and they served a child raw meat. I brought it to one of the cashiers and the manager had a nasty attitude & rude like she couldn't be bothered asked me if I want it to be remade or refund. I took the refund.
