Culture Brewery in Encinitas is already one of my favorite spots for a laid-back vibe, great local brews, and a welcoming atmosphere--but Katie takes the experience to a whole new level. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with the warmest smile and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel like regulars. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about the beers on tap (and gave some awesome recommendations!), but she also has that rare ability to make everyone feel like they're on vacation, even if you are not:) Katie's energy is infectious, and it's clear she loves what she does. She was attentive without hovering, fun to chat with, and made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. If you're heading to Culture Encinitas, do yourself a favor and look for Katie behind the bar. She's the kind of person who makes you want to come back again and again. read more

Cool brewery in the heart of Encinitas. Great location and very swanky brewery. Nice big open space concept inside with big front window that fully opens and brings fresh ocean breeze inside. There is designated seating are outside the brewery as well. The atmosphere was very relaxed and mellow. Bar staff was friendly and mingled with random guests. The choice of music help the evening ambiance even more. They offer good selection of beers. You can sample IPA, Ales, and few lagers. Definitely good place to come back to. read more

This place was pretty good! We enjoyed the vibe of the place and the worker was very friendly. We tried some good beers and we loved the 3 for $3 deal they have on Tuesdays! You get three tasters for only $3 total! It was a really awesome deal! The white chocolate stout was unlike a stout we had before and was very good! We ended up getting some to go, they had a mix 4-pack of the white chocolate and the chocolate stout. We thought this was really fun! read more

A laid back and local brewery serving craft (gluten reduced) beers and hard seltzers. We have been coming here for years and the amazing staff keeps us coming back. We love the addition of the outdoor area post-pandemic and the events they do like monthly art shows, pop ups, taster Tuesdays, and bingo nights. Culture has a great casual atmosphere welcoming to dogs and kids too and we look forward to it being around for years to come! read more

Excellent urban brewery to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. This is my to-go place with my Spanish girlfriends. We love our 101 up and down and we love spending time checking people and having a beer at Culture. Plus the constantly changing expos of various painters makes this place even more interesting. Is very dog friendly and sometimes we even meet the dog owners thanks to them:) You gotta talk to people. This is actually one of the few places around where people seem to have a good time, not pretentious and you can have amiable conversations with strangers. Very recommended. read more

We love this place! Great hangout for locals, their new membership program is great. Come for the delicious selection of craft beer, stay for the super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Featured local artists are also a draw for me. Pro tip: get some food from Gelati & Piccatti or The Taco Stand to enjoy there while you watch the world go by. read more

After an afternoon taking care of other things on Mainstreet I took a look at Waze and realized that I was leaving during peak rush hour. If I was going to be sitting somewhere for awhile I'd rather it be at a brewery vs in traffic. So I grabbed a beer and enjoyed a spot where I could people watch as people wrapped up their day and began their evening. The service was quick, the location had several adorable dogs hanging out with their owners, and the beer was tasty! read more

I've been to the Solana Beach one numerous times, so I am familiar with the beers. I was pretty stoked they opened up shop in Encinitas, walking distance from my work. All of their beers are pretty solid. In addition, they have a diverse selection, which is particularly helpful, since my husband and I have different tastes in beers. I'm a big IPA lover, while he is not, and these days, most joints tend to be pretty IPA-happy. We came on a Friday afternoon, and sampled all kinds of stuff. I really enjoyed the hazy IPA. I also tried Husband's milk stout and found it smooth, creamy, and excellent. I had a sip of my friend's strawberry rhubarb beer (a sour). I'm not a big fan of sours, but the acidity in this one was on the subtle side, with nice fruity notes and a lovely rose-pink color. It was pretty good. I also had a taster of the wildflower (?hope I'm remembering it correctly?) IPA. It definitely had an unfamiliar and unique floral tone to it. It was fun and interesting for a taster, but I probably would not order an entire pint of it. As usual, enjoyed the time here. read more

2nd time visiting Culture Brewing. 1st time at this location. With so many brewery and pub options in the Downtown Encinitas area, it's hard to choose where to hydrate. That is until you see Culture Brewing. Love how open and breezy it is inside. The staff is friendly and very helpful with suggestions and tastings. Can't beat a chill vibe and great beer! I love me some Culture. This place has long been one of my favorite breweries in San Diego that's why I'm super stoked that they decided to make one in Encinitas, albeit Solana Beach isn't all that far... That being said, this place is awesome and I absolutely love the Mosaic IPA, it's world class and the Nut Brown is fantastic as well! Overall, this place really does have some fantastic beer and is a must for anyone looking to taste some of the best in SD. A friend and I were doing a little shopping in Downtown Encinitas when we walked by Culture Brewing. I obviously knew this place was here, being the beer aficionado that I am, but for some reason, never visited until last week. That's the great thing about Downtown Encinitas, there are tons of choices for hoppy hydration! It's simple, go here. Stop reading and go. Culture has a very cool, breezy vibe that is expected from a SoCal beach town. My friend had the Cream Ale and I had an Hazy IPA. Both were excellent! As good as the beer was, the bartender was awesome and happily offered up suggestions for us! I will be back to continue working y way through the selections! Count on it! read more

Very hip spot in Encinitas. They have great craft brews and most of it is also gluten reduced. Usually there's art hanging on the walls and also some sort of cool movie playing on the projector. The beers are delicious and reasonably priced. A highlight is if you go pee it feels like you're in nature haha, check out the bathroom. read more

Culture Brewery is in a great location with tons of foot traffic and has a nice open-air feel.  On the other hand, the inside is pretty sparse with some basic barrels and uncomfortable chairs to sit in.  It's mostly just a big open box with beer. Culture has some unusual beers to choose from and will gladly give you a taster or two if you can't decide.  Getting a flight is also a good way to go.  I tried the Ginger Snap Red and was surprised at the true ginger snap taste.  It was delicious and I ordered a glass. As more of our people arrived, we put three beers on the barrel for them to try.  They loved the Vanilla Cream Ale.  They thought the Brown was really good, but when they tasted my Ginger Snap, every single person thought it was the worst beer they have ever tried.  Amatures! The culture at Culture is "anything goes."  You can bring your pets, your own food, whatever.  There were lots of dogs and babies tonight. Bottom Line: Culture Brewery is a fine place to have a beer with friends and dogs.  It's a bit stark and not cozy, but serves its purpose.  I may be alone in liking the Ginger Snap Red, but I'm sure there are others out there who enjoy good beer.  They just weren't in my group. I had the pleasure of visiting Culture on my way through Encinitas. The name fits it perfectly. The tap room feels like a local Encinitas surfer bar. Laid back, 12+ drafts. Culture, at least during my visit, is still on the "clear beer" craze. Many of their styles incorporating the tried and true west coast IPA or pale ale styles. There are still plenty of lighter and darker options if hops aren't your thing. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by for a beer and check this place out! read more

It's always great to find your "Cheers": Everybody knows your name, you have a usual, you've got a seat. This spot really turns that idea on it's head, in all the best ways! Their beer selection is localy produced and fresh, thus changing based on availability and demand (like a farmers' market!) It delightfully pushes a beerlover out of comfort zones and pigeonholes ("I only like _____") and opens minds to new seasonal nuances in the beer craft. The decor is similarly fluid, featuring new local artists with amazing displays of a wide variety of art styles and mediums. Hang around for a bit and you're even likely to meet the featured artist. Culture indeed. read more

Woo Hoo. Welcome to the neighborhood. So glad to have Culture move further up North closer to home. Nice and convenient for sampling near the coast. This place is awesome! Every time I come the walls are filled with art pieces by a different artist. It gives it a different feel every time, as well as being a great conversation starter. This brewery has a good selection of beers, they are dog friendly, and you're able to bring your own food! I always have a good time with friends whenever we go. Plus it's a great place to grab a quick beer if you're waiting for a table by near by restaurants or if you're going somewhere after. Oh! Also, the staff is always super nice, and great to talk to. The only negative I have is just when it's a busy night. The space is a bit small so it can get cramped pretty quickly. read more
