Such a nice, big space in a great location. The bartender was super sweet to my boys and gave them a doggy biscuit and they have multiple water bowls. It is dog friendly inside and out, but with a pretty day we sat outside. 9 more dogs ended up coming while we sipped our drink, all were happy and welcomed. Nice, crisp beer
I love when I discover new fun breweries that have Wi-Fi and are dog friendly! Culture has gluten reduced beer and it's very light and refreshing! Thank you for the samples so I knew what to order! I enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to come back to Solana Beach and have more gluten-free beer. They sell it by the can so you can take it to go! They also have a wall of merchandise
It was so chill here. Such a nice place to grab some drinks and hang out. There were lots of different beers to choose from. We got the flight, which was 4 for $11. It came with some pretzels Some inside seating and outside seating. Service was good. Will most likely return when in the area.
The Vibe: You can't beat the great location. It's right in the heart of the action and has a cool, inviting energy that makes it a perfect hangout spot. The Logistics: Fair warning--parking is a nightmare. Give yourself extra time to circle the block or be prepared to walk a few blocks. It's definitely not a "pull up to the front door" kind of place. The Price: The beer is quality, but the prices are steep. We're talking $10 for a single beer, which feels a bit heavy even for a craft brewery. The Standout: The customer service was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and really knows their stuff when it comes to the tap list.
Hubby and I are not big "beer" people but describing myself as one who can drink well with others, I'm always eager to participate! Appreciatively for those who are gluten sensitive, many of their beers are gluten-free, and state when not gluten reduced. I like the open-&-airy atmosphere, offering fun options for indoor and ample outdoor seating (with some heaters available, although I couldn't really feel the heat, sitting right next to one). We ordered their Taster Box (a flight of four generous 4 oz. pours for $11; $7 on Tuesdays!); the flights are attractively served in cigar box tops or bottoms, with some salted pretzels (nice touch; however, my thoughts not gluten-free)! Staff was pleasant and patient. Fun find and one in which I would be happy to return!
Loved our visit to Culture Brewing in Solana Beach! The indoor area is small but cozy, and the outdoor space in the back is spacious, shaded, and filled with plenty of tables--perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a sunny day. There was a pop-up stand making fresh pizzas, and they were surprisingly good--crispy crust, great flavors, and a nice bonus to go with the beer. I had the Nut Brown Ale, and it was absolutely delicious--smooth, rich, and super satisfying. Overall, great atmosphere, tasty beer, and a solid setup. Can't wait to come back!

Great brewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The beers on tap were very good and I have been here several times, and had almost everything, but I do love their black current hibiscus sour. They also have a small art exhibit going on and we met the artist of the month which was cool. They usually have a food truck in the back, but there are plenty of dining options around Culture brewing, we always make a stop at Pizza Port just up the street. They have a great atmosphere, the service here is quick and easy, which keeps me coming back here whenever I am in the area.
This review is for the non beer drinkers with beer drinking friends. I'm always a bit nervous to go to a brewery because I hate beer, the up shoot here is that they had multiple options for me, alcoholic and non alcoholic. It made the hangout process easier. Overall the service was good and the back patio setting is lovely and includes (at least sometimes) a taco truck. Yes there are heat lamps in the cold. This is a great, lovely spot for a casual drink with a friend or a pre-Belly Up meet up. Enjoy it!
Culture Brewing is a chill brewpub on Cedros Ave Design District in Solana Beach. It's part of a larger group of brewpubs but they do a significant amount of brewing on the premises. The place has a very open layout with a garage door front that opens the front up completely. There's also a fairly large outdoor patio in the back. The front has a few bar height tables but most of the seating is in back. There's a small bar that There was a separate taco stand in the back that appears permanent. You pick up your beers at the counter in front and take them where you are seated. The staff will gladly give you a taste before you go all in on a pint. There are 3, 10 and 16 oz pours and 32 oz growler cans for take away. Also, a selection of canned beers to take with you. On a nice Saturday afternoon, the place was busy but there always seats/tables available. The beer selection was mainly IPAs, a brown ale and a few Belgian styles. The French Saison very good could be a little funkier. I also enjoyed the 3 Citrus Gose. Generally, all of the beers I've had here including previous visits are very good. The beers were served in proper glassware for the aficionados. There are also hard seltzers on draft but I've not tried any of them. There are some salty snacks for sale in case you show up on an empty stomach. The servers were all very prompt and friendly. Overall, a chill place to spend an afternoon and drink some good beer! I don't have a dog but the place seems VERY dog friendly.
Love this place! Initially we went to revisit the location in encinitas however it was a Sunday and super packed, which is great however we had two kids with us and just wanted to relax so we chose to drive to the main location in Solana and we were so happy we did! Whenever I come visit, my friend always takes me here and I really enjoy their beer selection, this time was no different. The beers were delicious and the Solana location was amazing! We had such a great visit! We will definitely be coming back next time I am in town! Great drinks, great staff and awesome ambiance! We will see you again!
This is a great spot... You can get some beers abd people watch on Cedros or take them to the back deck and chill out... I've been coming here for years... It's a really good spot to drink a couple before heading into the belly up for a show.. the beertenders are always really nice and helpful... The beers are pretty good as well!
Quick stop before boarding our train and glad we did! Culture Brewing is a quick walk (across the street) from the Solana Beach Transit Center so make sure you stop by here before or after (I recommend both :))! Clean spot and people are so friendly! They have plenty of seating inside and outside in the back. They have a nice bar seating area at the front with a big window to look onto the street. There are a couple spots to sit out front as well. Lots of people and a great vibe! It is dog friendly as we did see some adorable pups! They even has some cool art for sale that's hung on their side wall. They have pretty cool merch (great logo!) to check out when you walk in. As well as a cold box for your to go beer and some snacks. They did have a food truck out back and it smelled great! They have a couple bathrooms and they were clean enough! Staff super friendly and got our beer quick! Hubby had the IPA and I always go for the stout! So good and cool/refreshing after a long day in the sun! We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Solana Beach! read more
Some of these beers have been through the gluten-reduced process. Tried the Mosaic West Coast IPA and if you like bitter beers this one is for you. Beertenders let us try to Octoberfest for 2026 and it pretty good. Service was friendly and bratwurst vendor tasted excellent! I did hear Culture lean more on the vegan beer side but not sure who started info. read more
I really love coming here on Monday nights for run club and its always a treat after run club to socialize afterwards in this wonderful venue! Tonight I tried a 10oz boozy cherry sour slushee as I was totally soaked in sweat after a 4 mile run. Others in my group also a hot sweaty mess so I didnt feel bad. One guy I am friends with was trying to wring out sweat from his shirt, thats how hot and humid it was tonight for a run lol. Unfortunately, this drink did not do it for me. There wasn't any wrong with the drink but the consistency was off and I felt like I was drinking air and not a slushy. It was just too pumped with air and had no critical mass to it. I still give this place 5 stars because I have been coming here for the past couple of months for run club and beers are consistently good, service always friendly and they also give us a 10% discount for being part of run club! Great place to gather for a jog and to socialize after, you'll def find me here on Monday nights over and over again! read more

Love this place! A great spot for a few beers or to add to your brew crawl day. I took the train up from downtown SD and it was an easy walk from the train station. The space is laid out great and they have a nice patio as well. The beer selection is just enough as I'm not a fan of to many choices. The staff is friendly and is open to chat about what beer/seltzer will work. I always return when I'm in the area. read more

This is a relatively small micro-brewery in the center of downtown Solano Beach. They serve a small variety of tacos that we did not indulge in, but the offer a very good variety of craft beers, including a very good chocolate oatmeal stout and black IPA. Friendly staff, great location. read more

Culture is such a great spot to go for a delicious beer in Solana Beach. The service was so great that I felt like we were friends with the person who helped us choose drinks and the person who was running the guest pizza oven out back. The patio is a perfect place to chill, in comfy chairs or at a picnic table. See you there again soon! read more
I recently went to Culture Brewing for a macrame holiday decoration workshop. I am not a beer drinker, so I usually only go to breweries for events. Culture Brewing is a few doors down from the Belly Up music venue, so parking can get a little tight. I wound up parking about three blocks away. It was a cold day in December, and I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that the bar is totally open... not windows in front, just walls open to the street, and the workshop was also outdoors in the back garden. I walked up to the bar asking if they had wine, or something other than beer. They didn't have wine, but they did have a few other options. The bartender was vey friendly and understanding that I had come for the workshop, and helped me find something I liked. I tried a sweet-flavored beer and a couple of seltzers. Finally I settled on the apple seltzer. The garden area was really large and nicely decorated with barrels and string lights. I loved that the music all night was a playlist of my favorite 80s new wave bands. There were plenty of heat lamps in the garden, so I was warm during the workshop. This is a nice environment and I would love to hang out there during the summer. read more

We stopped in to check out the monthly art exhibit that was up for the month of August by our Friend artist Sarah O'Connor. It's a cute place and the servers working there were very friendly and nice. I enjoyed a cold refreshing vanilla ale. read more
This was our second stop on our walk to local bars/breweries. We were here on a Friday afternoon. The patio area was full so we sat inside. I wanted to order the Vanilla Orange Cream Ale, but was talked out of it. I instead ordered the Blonde Ale. It was very good. Nice and smooth. I'm not an IPA lover, but thought the Encinitas IPA was tasty as well. Not sure what the other reviews were talking about when they mentioned having to purchase pre-packaged snacks. We just ordered a couple rounds of beer and took a couple 4 packs to go. Not the friendliest staff, but the beer and company were outstanding. read more
Culture Brewing according to their website "embodies the ethos of the neighborhoods we call home" and you can tell this is true. This is a tasting room, not a bar, which sets the vibe of laid back quality enjoyment. Also as such, by licensing, they close at 10pm and can't serve other than what they produce. On our first visit we sat at the railing along the sidewalk - we like people watching. As part of the entertainment was their sign (see pic). In watching the patrons come and go, and having watched the patrons on the back patio, we could tell this was a regular/local hangout for friends gathering. The vibe was open and welcoming. They offer the usual variety of beers, and we weren't disappointed in our selections. For a relaxing place to meet friends, enjoy a good beer, and talk (there weren't any TVs) this could be place. read more
I tried the grapefruit seltzer, pineapple hoppy wheat, and tart pineapple wit beers. I'm a fan. It's around $4-$5 a small pour. It's mandatory to buy meat and cheese plate $10 as Covid policy. Good vibes in Solana beach. read more

What an enjoyable pop-up experience! I attended a "Don't Tell" comedy event at Culture, and it was fantastic. I adore the ambiance, beer, and community at Culture Brewing. Despite the chill, the heat lamps kept us cozy. I wish it wasn't set up so formal as a show though and maybe had tables around for people because it was a little tight, and that's not the Culture environment. The downside was the pizza stand sold out by the time we arrived, even though we were punctual and had tickets. It seems some attendees were let in without tickets, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, I'd gladly return for another visit. read more
Cool space, good beers. They have a patio out back that is pretty chill. You can also sit in the front and people watch! Parking can be tough sometimes, especially if there is a show at the Belly Up, but that's Cedros for you. Worth checking out if you are in the area! read more
