I had high hopes. We went in on a week night and the wait was about 1.5 hours. I was thinking... yay! This place MUST be worth waiting for but no. I am definitely willing to try again BECAUSE they are new but our food was just okay. The pizza came out super late (which our server did say it would take longer but it was WAY longer than the time frame she quoted) and it was burnt. I'm willing to say that possibly the kitchen was busy that night and I do give grace for that otherwise this would be a two star review and I wouldn't be willing to try again. My biggest issue was actually our server. She wanted to give me a refill on my drink. Great. I needed a refill but then asked me to take my straw so she could refill my glass. We hadn't been served plates yet or even silverware cuz our appetizers hadn't come out yet. Look. Either just bring me a fresh glass or bring me a plate or SOMETHING to put my straw on so I don't have to put it on your table and then reinsert into my mouth. They do not have a lot for parking. And square parking in CP is craziness. You've been warned. read more

I am so happy for have gone here! I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and a friend recommended we finally make the trip to come here. We got the Detroit pizza, and the pretzel/sausage appetizer and it was delicious! The food came out sooner than we expected, and the place it also huge. Very disappointed in your restaurant. I came all the way here to be advised that there was an hour wait and absolutely no one was waiting, absolutely no one!! I asked about going to the bar and the hostess didn't even want to give me that option. Then I requested to wait the hour, next thing I know, the manager comes out and says chef advised they were not taking any more people. It is about 7:30pm and you don't close until 11pm. The only thing I can think of is that it was racial. It's too bad that this had to happen to my family and I but I guess we were not the type of people wanted in your establishment. Next time just say black people are not welcome, that would have been easier to understand when they had no one waiting and patrons leaving making tables available and you don't close until 11. read more

Culinary Misfits was an amazing place to take my daughter out for her birthday. Your eyes will be in overload as you are drawn in by the spectacular sights to behold. Our server was fantastic, very friendly he made us feel so welcome and excited about what we were about to receive. We ordered the Khachapuri as a Foreply and it was so good, very hot and enticing to the eye. Soon after our main course of Fish and Chips and The Pasta that we forgot to name came out. You receive large hot portions of food enough for two folks to eat. The food was so tasty and stunning to the eye. I will definitely be coming back for more. read more

The food is good better than just about all restaurants in the square but the service is still terrible. There are really not any restaurants in Crown Point that can make meals without adding high caloric ingredients. The last time my wife and I went to this restaurant we had to walkout because no staff attended our table. Before we left I seen a manager doing paper work and explained why my wife and I were leaving. Upon entering the restaurant the seating coordinator placed us in an area alone and oblivious to their staff. Yesterday, almost the same situation. Management needs to TRAIN their staff! This restaurant has the opposite of ambiance. The music is loud and muddy sounding. You have to shout to be heard by the people in your booth . Our waitress could not hear my order and almost ordered something I did not want . She was in too much of a hurry and could not hear me. The pizza is served barely warm and is soaked in oil.The pizza is made ahead of time and reheated so no toppings can be added or subtracted. This is fried and unhealthy food. The manager comes by and asks how is everything and moves on before you can reply . She could not hear anything you have to say anyway. I left with my ears ringing and a headache. (they come with the option either chicken or steak,) Loved the atmosphere inside, would be great for parties or get togethers. Full bar, and separated dining experience on the inside. Everything at Culinary Misfits is super unique and that helps to also make it super delicious. For example, the short rib grilled cheese might be the largest sandwich I've ever seen in my entire life. I wish I had taken a photo because I couldn't believe it when it came out. I also loved the short rib bolognese. It says it's very spicy which means it's midwestern very spicy which means it's an appropriate level of spicy for someone who enjoys a little extra kick. Would highly recommend trying either of those dishes. read more

We love Culinary Misfits. We have been here many times and apparently we eat the food faster than we can get a photo of it. The service is always solid. We LOVED the Easter buffet. It was upscale brunch and lunch food which I appreciate. I like the ambiance and drink menu. It's decorated very well and doesn't feel like a dive bar! read more

We had dinner this evening at it was delicious, our waitress with very attentive and sweet my one negative comment would be the table next to us was a young couple and no one waited on them, they waited for quite awhile and finally walked out, that happened to us about a year ago in fact tonight was the first time I had been back in the restaurant since that, I hope future visits will be like they were tonight for us and hopefully the young couple who walked out if they visit the restaurant in the future. read more

Stopped in with some friends after going to the Thursday car show in CP. Atmosphere is real nice, & trendy. Server was a bit busy at first but got menus and water to our table quickly. Food was very good, I got the supreme pizza and the mix of flavor was the best I've had in a long while. 6 thick slices, ended up taking 3 home for lunch the next day (actually oven reheated really well) My friends had burgers and were well pleased with what they received. read more

Had lunch with some friends this afternoon. Food was great. One had the short rib bolognese, which was spicy but he liked it. Another had chicken florentine, this was one huge dish of food! But very good. And then the BBQ cherry pork tenderloin which is one friends favorites, was ordered again. My only critique is the dried croutons on the chicken pot pie soup. Maybe bits of cooked pie crust would be better? The soup was good though! The service was great. Kassandra took care of us, she was very sweet and friendly. They weren't overly busy since we were there in the early afternoon so she let us sit for as long as we wanted. Of course we'll be back, the place is spacious and has nice decor. We tried Misfits tonight for the first time. We had incredible service from Addi and was very happy with our meals. Portions were big (probably too big but it's the Midwest and we like big portions) and it was served fast and hot in spite of the fact it appeared to be very busy. This was the worst food and the service was awful. we had 12 people and she never checked on us. we had to keep flagging her down to order drinks. it took 45 minutes to get our food and it was all cold. to have to pay 18% tip for such terrible service is a disgrace. 4 family's won't be returning! read more

The food was over priced for the quality. We paid close to 20 dollars for a chicken Cesar wrap that my husband deemed inedible. I ate it, but I am someone who likes chilis, Applebees food (honestly find chilis food better) So if you would like chilis Applebees food, and want to pay triple the price this is your place! read more

When the restaurant had first opened I was excited to try something new. Of course I waited a couple months for them to get the bugs out, and then I attempted to have dinner there. The service was so bad right off the bat that I walked out. About 6 months later I brought an out of town guest there because we wanted to sit outside and eat... HORRIBLE service. Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated, and then another 15 to get water. Still not receiving a menu, after asking twice, we walked out. Now I go there again and see that nothing has changed much. The hostess is rude and I overheard the manager tell a table that they could complain all they want to the owners, but it won't do any good because they will side with her. I'm surprised that this place is still open to be honest. I left there feeling sick to my stomach and disappointed that their service hasn't improved since they first opened. Who treats people so disrespectful and continues to stay open? Do better or close so someone else can bring us good food and service. read more

My only complaint is that it was a SHRIMP bowl and there were literally only 4 shrimps in the bowl... seems like kind of a rip off. My first time here after hearing mixed reviews from friends. Showed up for Black Friday brunch at about 11. Only a handful of customers. Bloody Mary's were just tomato juice & vodka with a tajin rim, no accouterments whatsoever. I had the biscuits & gravy that didn't come with eggs so ordered a side of those for an extra $5. I asked the eggs over medium and they were over hard. The gravy was room temperature and the biscuits were dry. Wife had the Dungeness crab eggs Benedict. I had a bit and the crab tasted like the aluminum can it came out of. She said she didn't care for it. You could throw a rock in all directions of this place and hit a much better restaurant, so I would rather patronize one of the others. read more
