The service was terrible. People who came 15 minutes after us got their pasta before us. If the food we ordered was a dish that takes longer to prepare, they should have let us know before hand. The crabcakes appetizer took 20 minutes to bring out, and it was probably the only good thing on the menu. We waited another 20 minutes for the main dishes. My husband's linguine clams was sitting in sauce, and it tasted like wine instead of red sauce. I ordered scallops risotto, it was awful. It had no sauce, no flavor, and it was mushy paste. My scallops were brown and looked like they were deep fried instead of being seared in a pan. Trader Joes Scallop Risotto is a 10 compared to this place: at least it has flavor. The food I had Cugini was the worst Italian food I ever had and the waiter was terrible. The bartender gave better service and we didn't even order drinks. This place is over priced and the food is not worthy of the wait. We will see what our chickens have to say about the leftovers.

Armando makes the ultimate Martinis. Grey Goose and a tad dirty. Shaken like hell.

The food, ambiance and service is second to none. Jenny and I have had most of what Cugini has on their menu. We have never had a bad meal. Armando and Becka are always at their best, making you feel at home. Stephanie, Mia, Angel, Marco and Jesus work as a team in making sure all of their guests are taken care of. Thank you Armamdo for making the best Martinis in town. Simply fabulous place. Love you guys.

Quaint Italian restaurant on Solano Ave. we were seated quickly but the the remainder of the service was a bit slow and it was not that busy on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was a bit noisy, so not a great place for conversation. The food was good, nice size portions. They brought fresh bread with balsamic and olive oil. I would for sure come back

Booking the place was pretty easy, just called them up and they were able to get us a reservation for a table of 6 on a Sunday evening. Upon arrival,I was kinda blown away by the decor, holiday themed with a gentleman playing the piano and a lively crowd sitting at the bar-I for sure felt like I picked the right place for my mothers special birthday celebration. We started out our meal with complimentary bread service, which was delicious and 2 starters, the meatballs($17.95) and the potato wedges($15.95)-they had fancy names but basically that's what they were. The meatballs were so great,I really enjoyed their texture and flavor. The wedges were very solid but what made them standout was this truffle aioli sauce they were served with-outstanding-I need this recipe somehow. We went with a few main dishes-Penne alla Vodka($31.50) which was very good, featuring Salmon and vodka sauce-the Salmon was so tasty it melted like butter on every bite.We also went with the Tortellini($29.25) dish which featured pork filled pasta in carbonara sauce with prosciutto-It was pretty good, especially when u got the bite just right with the tortellini and the tasty pieces of prosciutto-very yumz for sure!...In my opinion, the star of the night was my dish-I ordered Lasagne di Manzo($28.95)-which was a lasagna featuring ground beef and lots of cheese covered in Napolitana sauce-man oh man it was delicious, every bite was super tasty and not sure if it was the sauce that made the difference but the sauce gave the entree a very light feel, after eating that dish I felt light still,a feeling I only have ever gotten when eating pasta when I was in Rome-so it was a great dining experience without a doubt. In closing I would definitely recommend this restaurant if your looking for a place to share a slightly upscale dining experience where time is not a concern,a place that took me back to the casual nights I spent in Rome enjoying 2 hour+ dinner experiences filled with conversation and great company eating flawless foods-I will for sure come back to this amazing hidden gem of a spot! PS....Almost forgot-the crème brulee($12) and cappuccino($6) we had after dinner were exquisite-gave me all the pep I needed for the long drive home to Sacramento after this meal.....Be Kind out there.

And the birthday eating continues... I've got two more celebrations after this lol…read more We went to Hotel Mac and dined at their restaurant, Biancoverde--Italian cuisine. The server was super nice and everything came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. I ordered the cioppino, and my family went with lasagna, linguine, and pescatore. We also shared some calamari to start. Overall? Really good in my book. Flavors were on point and everyone enjoyed their dishes. It is a bit on the pricier side, but honestly no complaints still a great experience all around.

After finally trying it for myself, I can definitely see what all the hype is about. I kept it simple and ordered pasta with the white Alfredo sauce, and honestly it was one of the better pasta dishes I've had in a while. The sauce was creamy, rich, and really satisfying without feeling too heavy. Sometimes the simplest dishes end up being the most memorable. The portion sizes are pretty generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get, which makes it even more worth it. Ambiance: Very much a college-town vibe with lots of students around, giving the place a lively and casual atmosphere. Staff: Quick-paced and efficient, but I never felt rushed while dining. Glad to say I found my go to for pasta and will for sure be back!

I got their pesto calzone for $15. Huge, but not very good (I got sick of it after a few bites) and took over 20min for a takeout place. The pesto was oily and a bit bland. Chicken and the thick dough tasted cold and very dry. Ambiance is not nice to sit at, feels like an indoor taco truck. This place probably isn't in my top 5 for the area because its not too good and it takes a long time, but if someone wanted to eat here I wouldn't argue against it.

We stopped in early on a Friday evening and were seated right away. The space has a great, casual vibe with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor tables for nicer weather. Our server was friendly and checked in to see if we had any questions (we didn't), and we got drinks started right away--a local beer from Faction and a Black Basil cocktail. Both came out quickly and were solid. For food, I went with one of their signature pies--the All-Star deep dish. It's loaded with bacon, meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, and cheese... and it's massive. I always go for the 12" because it easily turns into 4-5 meals (no regrets there). My wife built her own gluten-free pizza with a thin crust and really enjoyed it. One thing I appreciated: even though deep dish takes longer to cook, both pizzas came out at the same time, which isn't always easy to do. They also offer a good variety of salads, starters, and sandwiches, which all sounded great--but I was here for the pizza. Overall, great service, excellent food, and a relaxed atmosphere.
