I was excited to get a taqueria here, but they don't specialize in just tacos. They have a full menu. Most things are covered in cheese and use flour tortillas, so my review will focus on just the street tacos. I'm pleased that they have multiple choices-chicken, ground taco seasoned beef, steak, chorizo, shrimp, and al pastor pork. My 1st order was opening week. I got one each of shrimp, chorizo, and pastor. The meat was all overcooked, and I wanted the pastor to have more than a tiny sliver of pineapple. The seasoning on the pastor in particular was pretty mild. I wanted a blast of flavour, but was willing to go again. Prices are reasonable. 3 filling tacos for $7.50. Today I got 3 pastor tacos. The spice blend was better this time. Parts of the meat were still chewy and overcooked, and some were tender and great. There was no pineapple on my order today, but that could be just because I specified that I wanted corn tortillas and the traditional onion, cilantro, lime, and hot sauce. Maybe they thought I didn't want the pineapple because I didn't specify. Everyone else at work liked their meal, but most of them have pretty simplistic palates and don't do spice. My al pastor was called weird food. Their hot sauce is a tasty green salsa and the traditional cucumbers and radishes come alongside. The cucumbers taste amazing with that green hot sauce, btw. I'll give it a go again, and will update with my spouse's take when they try it, as they have a more varied palate than my coworkers when it comes to cuisines outside of meatloaf and beef and noodles. read more
