Chicken Cutlet Bento
Grace L.

I came here to study and eat lunch. I ordered a Winter Melon Milk Tea with Tapioca Pearls and Chicken Cutlet Bento Box. Both orders were very tasty. The bento box was very fragrant. They gave a lot of chicken and the vegetable and egg side dishes were delectable. The chicken cutlet reminded me of my mother's cutlet recipe. I finished the bento box easily. The Winter Melon Milk tea wasn't too sweet. The tapioca pearls have the perfect chewiness. There was a nice ratio between milk tea and pearls. You will have to ask for pearls, which are free, with your drink. The price for the milk tea was more expensive compared to other boba shops, but it was worth it in my opinion. The service was very nice. The front counter workers are kind and they make your drink and food within a reasonable time. The atmosphere is suitable for either hanging out or studying. I was here for a while and was able to get things done without being distracted by the background music. My only critique for this place would be the drawings and writings on the tables and walls, which were initially off-putting but I got used to it. I would come back again. 9/10

Adorable little cafe spot. Great quiet spot to work from. The service is quick and they are kind and the drinks/snacks are full of flavor and goodness!

The place was very quaint and the vibe was chill, while entering we noticed the unique drawings and the chicken plushies around the establishment, the ones posted here are many of the unique ones and I thought them to be incredible. The place allows you to write on the tables, seats and walls with a couple rules. Another thing was that the boba tea was very interesting , we ordered the mango tea and Thai milk tea. The employees were very nice , so overall I see it as a good place to settle for a bit and chill.

My go to study spot. Clean bathrooms. Study cubbies are the best. Great customer service. I would gatekeep this place if I could!! One thing I would mention is to bring headphones or earbuds since people do get obnoxiously loud at times and the employees also shout out your order number... they could improve by providing buzzers similar to nearby cafes and restaurants.

Mango milk tea with lychee jelly

Cuckoos Cafe is a cute little shop that reminds me of a nicer version of Quickly. They have a variety of drink options (milk tea, real fruit, yogurt, cheese foam, hot tea, slushies, etc) and sandwiches & snacks as well! I wasn't hungry when I went, so I didn't try any of their food, but I was tempted as I was looking through the menu. I was told that their chicken nuggets are really good. They serve Takoyaki as well which I love so I may come back one day to try! I've tried both their wintermelon milk tea and the mango milk tea. Their wintermelon takes about the same as any other wintermelon elsewhere, but I was happy to see they have a mango milk tea! I love mango and it's not something you see on a menu often. I'll definitely be coming here more for that in the future. You can customize ice and sugar levels. I got half ice and half sugar which was perfect. I Iove that their drinks aren't too sweet. They have a good selection of toppings as well including mango and lychee jelly. And not that I ever need to substitute milk, but that's an option as well! There's plenty of seating room, and this would be a great place to come hang out while drinking bubble tea or eating snacks.

Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken

Stopped by for a quick snack of Taiwanese Fried Chicken. Did not disappoint! I could tell how fresh from the fryer since it was really hot. The chicken was super tender and the breading was super crispy and flavorful. The nuggets were big pieces as well which made it even juicer. The place was really spacious with plenty of booths and tables to study and eat.

First things first: COVID-19 wise, have to have masks super spacious and when I went it seemed that everyone followed those instructions. **Food review** Trying to figure out what to eat is always a challenge for us, so when we saw Cuckoo's Cafe and their menu it was something simple and also something that we could pick up and go. There's nothing in getting cafe food for dinner... We ordered a variety of things: Chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento, chicken sandwich, pork egg sandwich, chicken cutlet. For me I wanted to try the chicken sandwich the most, but was lured to get the pork sandwich and also getting the cutlet. Yeah. I know, I kind of went overboard with wanting to try both the chicken sandwich and the pork egg sandwich and chicken cutlet. I would say if I had to choose one thing, it would have to be to get the chicken sandwich. It's not a small sandwich either. Both of the sandwiches were properly sized. The chicken cutlet was exactly what it is, a chicken cutlet nothing else. Pork sandwich I enjoyed, but I would say that the chicken sandwich won it for me. I would say if you wanted to get this I would suggest to get the bento which came with rice and some side dishes as well. I had samples of the nuggets, which I thought was pretty awesome and addictive. If you had spicy popcorn chicken at Sweet Hut, these aren't as spicy but the flavor is there and I think there's probably a bigger portion compared to the other places making it a winner for me. Next time I'm here, I definitely know what I'm ordering and I think I'll venture into the drinks and getting their boba and trying that out. But by far, if you're looking for a meal and you want to venture out from normal meals try this place for a to go experience.

Stopped by Cuckoo's Cafe for an afternoon snack. The cafe is big and there's plenty of parking. Masks are required, social distancing encouraged and sanitizer provided. The staff was friendly, patient and helpful. They have extensive menu and offer a wide variety of drinks, snacks and more. I wasn't hungry, just wanted to try a drink. I ordered a wintermelon milk tea with soy milk and boba ~$5. The drink comes in one size, large. I asked for less sugar and less ice. The milk tea was creamy yet refreshing. It was sweet but not too sweet. The boba had perfect texture. I'm kinda picky when it comes to wintermelon milk teas and theirs did not disappoint. It was fantastic! Can't wait to go back and try their snacks.

This is a really sweet place for great Taiwanese Bubble Tea, as well as other types of drinks and desserts...and even Chicken Nuggets (as the name suggests), Fries, and more! Plus, the place features some cute, gimmicky branding all throughout...including "Selfie" walls (definitely a trend in the Bubble Tea industry lol)! I just stopped in to grab a cup to go, but peeked inside and saw that they had some really nice, lounging areas and private booths even. Also, I really appreciated their super-strong and sturdy cup...not weak and flimsy, leading to easy spills. Anyway, I ordered Matcha Green Milk Tea with Boba...and it was really good..solid! Hope to be back to try more items off their menu.

The Taro tea here is my current favorite, more than pearl's tea and not too sweet. The perfect treat for any hot summer day. :)

I'm not sure exactly when they renovated their seating space, but it's much, much nicer now! I love how it's kind of blocked off for each group to have their own little space. Though it can be a little cramped depending on number of people, Ding Tea makes for a good place to hangout now. It's just a bit difficult to walk through and see whether it's busy or not. As for the drinks, they're relatively good. They're consistent, and the drinks don't take very long to come out. I prefer the fruit teas or coffee drinks over the milk teas here, though if I were to choose where to go, I wouldn't normally pick Ding Tea.

My partner and I stopped by Ding Tea tonight, May 3, 2026, at 9:40 PM for a quick drink run. We…read moreordered a large Vietnamese Coffee with Salted Cream for $7.70 (with taxes). I'll start with the service, because unfortunately that was the biggest letdown. During ordering, I asked the cashier if the drink could be made blended. She simply said "no" without any real explanation. That caught me off guard since I've ordered this exact drink blended at Ding Tea before multiple times. It didn't seem like a complicated request--I wasn't asking for extra modifications, just for the drink to be put in the blender. The lack of clarification made the interaction feel dismissive and confusing. Because of that, I'd rate the service and product knowledge a 1/5. A simple explanation (like equipment limitations or store policy) would've made a big difference. The store itself, however, had a really cozy and inviting feel. The décor leaned into a Vietnam-inspired aesthetic, with warm tones, subtle cultural touches, and a relaxed, intimate vibe. It felt clean, thoughtfully arranged, and comfortable--somewhere you could easily sit and unwind for a bit. The ambiance was calm, slightly rustic, and charming without being overdone. As for the drink itself, I'd give it a solid 4/5. The Vietnamese coffee had a smooth, bold, and slightly nutty flavor with that signature deep roasted richness. It struck a nice balance--not overly sweet, but not too bitter either--making it really easy to drink. The salted cream on top was the highlight: light, velvety, and slightly savory, adding a creamy contrast that complemented the coffee really well. The texture overall was pleasant and indulgent, even without being blended. Overall, the drink delivered, but the experience didn't. This visit would've easily been much better if the cashier had taken a moment to explain the limitation instead of giving a flat "no." Clear communication goes a long way, especially for returning customers who've had different experiences in the past. I'd still come back for the quality of the drinks, but I hope the service becomes more consistent moving forward.

I have been to this location a few times before, but I have been to the one in Midtown more frequently. Sweet Hut has a BUNCH of different pastries, both savory and sweet. They are all Korean influenced. They also have a full drink menu, think bubble teas and hot drinks. They also have other snack type items and sandwiches/paninins too. If you aren't picking up what I'm putting down....they have something for EVERYONE. I got there around 10:30AM, so I grabbed some breakfast. I got a Crème Brûlée latte and a ham and cheese pastry. The pastry was the perfect breakfast snack! It was honestly quite filling. The latte was perfect too! For lunch, I got some fries and their chicken nuggets. I have been getting these chicken nuggets for YEARS, and they are so good!! I always get them mild, cause they already come a little spicy. Making them any spicier (which you can do), makes them hard to eat for me! But they are so good, as well as the fries! I brought a book with me to read while I waited. Sweet Hut is the perfect place to hang out, get some studying done, or just a place where you want to focus. Great place to go to by yourself or with some friends. I really do love this place!

And the cakes are always a show stopper, so beautifully decorated. We get our birthday cakes from here. Today, I got some bread to take home and the crème brulee milk tea. Of all the milk teas I've tried from different boba tea places, I always come back around to Sweet Hut. The aroma of their tea is fragrant and you can actually taste the tea. The boba is always cooked well and their custard pudding is smooth and delicious. I met a friend here to get some work done and we opted to sit in one of the booths to have a little bit of privacy. Well, what a disappointment, the seats are are torn up and the foam is exposed, the table is super wobbly, so to get any writing done... it's not ideal. After a few minutes, we decided it's time to move to the benches. One of the table is still a bit wobbly, but not as bad as the one in the booth. The seats are in good condition with pillows to support your back, a plus! What really ruined our work time is this lady coming in soliciting for people to give her money. I'm not sure if the staff is aware that she keeps coming in and going out multiple times going around to every table. She asked us 3 different time during our entire time there. As people are working and having a snack and enjoying quality time with friends and family, the last thing I want is someone coming up to my table and ask for money.
