We had our dinner at Cucina 25 after we went to the aquarium. We were so impressed with the Appearance and the food quality and portions that we were served. It was nice to see that the waitress came over several times to make sure that we enjoyed everything and also if we need anything . The pizza was delicious and warm here! But the server took a while to bring out the food and to give us water/napkins when we needed it.

I was there 2/24/18 for this first time. The decor was nice, nice display of different pizzas. I ordered a chicken Parmesan hero , garlic knots and a pan slice, and a regular. I rate places by how good there chicken Parmesan is, there garlic knots and pizza. The chicken Parmesan was good not a fan of the seseme hero, the sauce ok to many onions not enough flavor. I would absolutely give this restaurant 5 stars except for the service being very slow, so make sure you have enough time. The food is excellent, we've tried several different items and enjoyed each and every one of them. Please pick up the pace and it will definitely be 5 stars. read more

My family and I had a great meal. Nice menu selection we each had different pasta dishes. The carbonera was excellent. Food was tasty and the service great. Not sure how people could complain about the prices (I guess I can because people complain about everything). So glad to have a good restaurant in this location again. Party of 4 on a Tuesday about 7pm. Two got there early so waitress had already gotten them drinks. She came back a couple minutes after we arrived. Place was busy but not crowded. Ordered calamari which came out in 10 minutes or so. Very fresh and tasty. Not chewy. I ordered penne bolognese another ordered linguini and clams with red sauce and two others split chicken and shrimp. About 15 after ordering waitress tells me the are out of bolognese sauce! Said chef just told her. How could there not be any bolognese and why wasn't she told earlier? I'm the last guy you'd want to do this to. Needless to say I wasn't happy. Not her fault just poor communication from the chef. Switch to linguini and red sauce. All meals came out together which was surprising. Meals were very hot. Sauce was excellent. Not watery not thick just right. I thought there could have been a couple more clams but no big deal. During our meal, Sean the owner comes over to apologize for the mix up. Offerer no bs excuse admitted they screwed up. Didn't seem happy about the situation or with the chef. Thanked him for taking the time to address this as he could easily have just stayed away. Overall great meals which were reasonably priced. Definitely will be back. Restaurant was clean and tables nicely spaced apart. Service was great. Out front curb parking is limited. Ordered take out for delivery. What we received was garbage. Two slices of grandma pie that were most likely sitting around the restaurant for more than 1/2 the day, tasteless and greasy. A chicken parm hero, that, yes, had chicken and parm but zero sauce. And, finally, a Caesar salad that I saw the delivery man unpack from between the pizza slices and the hero, the heat from which, wilted the lettuce leaves. I have ordered from this restaurant 100's of times, for ourselves and other family members. And I was more than a little disappointed in the $27 dollars worth of blandness. I was going to blow it off, but when my wife pointed out that the Caesar salad she was looking forward to, after a long day at work, was wilted, I decided to complain. I called the store and started out with "I don't know what happened to you guys...you used to have far better quality to your food". Then I went into specifics, that you read above. Instead of getting an apology, or anything close to it, I was told (by one of the owners, I believe), that "There's nothing wrong with us, we are better than we have ever been". Well, that sealed it for me. Couple of hundred dollars, over the course of a year, on average, will be better spent at one of the many other choices for Italian in Riverhead. I received in the mail the other day a gift certificate from Cucina 25 along with a note apologizing for the confusion with the website. The note stated that the problem would be addressed. I hope so because I would like to order pizza again which I will try today and we'll see what happens. However the pizzas are absolutely delicious and it was the best chicken Parm we've ever had. This place is great! The entire staff are so sweet and welcoming. Sauce is delicious, & as a vegan it's really nice to have a place that will cater to that so you dont have to eat just salad! Cucina 25 is by far the best pizza restaurant not only in Riverhead but on the Island. Service is great, Owners are both courteous ands personable, place is clean and very warming. The food is beyond great whether it's a simple slice, specialty slice(Chicken Park slice is best I've ever had), and great all around assortment of entrees. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat dinner after the aquarium and we found Cucina on 25. We had a sit down dinner with an appetizer of fried calamari and entrees of chicken and shrimp Parmesan. Both dinners came with pasta and salads! Both dinners were under 20$ each and the portions were huge! Such a good find..definitely recommend and we'll be coming back soon. read more

I've had a couple of slices of pizza from this restaurant over the past year. I would rate the slices as 3-4 stars. We recently ordered a large plain pie and one Sicilian. Other than pizza in Florida I would say it was the worst pizza I have eaten. Here is why. The dough had no taste, it was dry, and it was like eating cardboard (an exaggeration of course but you get the point). My neighbor who has ordered from Cucina25 before said it was terrible. It is my belief, there are way too many pizza "joints" out there that are just "throwing out" junk. Maybe the owners should go to Italy and learn how to make and cook pizza. I was so looking forward to trying out the new pizzeria/restaurant Cucina 25 that opened in the old Uncle Joe's location. Riverhead town is in dire need of better pizza. They have been open for 3 weeks so I gave them time to work out the kinks. Well, what a disappointment! We sat at a table and ordered a plain cheese pizza. Sean the owner said about 10 minutes. We even told him it was our first time trying their restaurant and that we had tried Uncle Joe's when they first opened and it was so bad we never went back. How can you screw up a pizza? It was aweful..cold, tough and obviously reheated from a pie previously cooked. I would have given 1 star but they were friendly. Another one we won't go back to! read more

Best Italian food in Riverhead!! I go there at least once a week and everything my boyfriend and I have tried has been DELICIOUS. A must have is their bruschetta slice. I don't like bruschetta, but I can't get enough of it. I always order it as an appetizer when I go there or sometimes just pick up a couple of slices on my way home from work. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. I usually have their shrimp parm which is great. Last time I had their eggplant parm which was also very good. My boyfriend usually has their chicken parm and he always says it taste better than the first time. They have a Chef cooking their meals which is why their food is soooo good and doesn't taste like your local pizzeria's. I used to have to drive to Papa Joe's in Manorville or Mama Lombardi's to get a descent Italian meal..... Not anymore!! So glad to have Cucina 25 in town and get my Italian food fix whenever I want without the hassle of traveling out of Riverhead. Also, their customer service, staff are professional, attentive and go above and beyond every time! We met both owners, Sean and Rob, and they are two hard working and down to earth young men who always make us feel welcomed. They make sure we enjoy our time and experience every time we go there. The atmosphere is quaint, relaxing and exquisite..... Go check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!! read more
