I have no idea how this place has four stars on yelp! I walked in at 6 PM on a Wednesday after a long drive in traffic. There was not a person in the place and the pizza counter options looked so so but I trusted yelp. I ordered a plain slice, which looked OK before it went in the oven and a buffalo chicken slice. When I opened up the box and saw the plain slice I could tell immediately this was not going to be a good pizza. When you can still see the individual shreds of cheese, it is a good sign that it is cheap cheese. The buffalo chicken slice was surprisingly OK but if you can't deliver a plain cheese slice that's enough for me. read more

Don't eat here. This restaurant serves absolute garbage. The food is awful. Chicken tastes old and like it's been soaked in vinegar to hide the fact that it's rancid. heroes are a sloppy mess, the bread is falling apart and cut uneven. the sauce tastes like it was made with cinnamon sticks in it. the pizza is all dough and cheese, no sauce. food arrives cold. the owner laughs when you complain. read more

Wow. Wife and I heading west and stopped for slices. I noticed a special listed in the window. $6.99 two slices and 24oz fountain soda. We order 4 slices, 2 small(12oz?) sodas. We were charged $19plus. Grab a table, check the sign again and casually ask, "Isn't there a special?" Guy replies you ordered small sodas, not 24oz? Are you kidding? I said that made zero sense....order a smaller drink, and pay $5 more? He then said, we did not request the "special". The $5 will not break either one of us, and did not warrant a debate. $5.....It will cost them a customer and gain a negative review. As for the food, the Pizza would not merit a return trip. Slices crumbled in our hands, and the taste had a cafeteria flavor to it. All for championing small businesses and intentionally skipped McDonald's yards away, but when they are run without logic, they are on their own and deserve their fate. Good luck. read more

I just moved to Suffolk and was looking for an Italian spot to eat at last night which was a Monday. Most places were closed, but Pennachio's was open and had good reviews. My wife and I sat down and the guys at the other table had a seafood Fran Diablo dish and that is my favorite and it looked delicious. I was not that hungry, but I felt it looked to good to pass up. Well, let me tell you something, it was the freshest, best tasting seafood far Diablo I have ever had. I worked in restaurant business for over 20 years and eat out regularly. I do not say this lightly, it was truly the BEST I have ever had. I finished the entire dish it was so good. I will be back for round 2 soon enough. read more

Came to just pick my dad up some soup since he was sick (he said the soup was amazing, we got their special of the day it was chicken with orzo) and ended up grabbing a slice for myself since I was starving. I don't know what this slice is called but it turned out to be one of the best slices of pizza that I've had in awhile. Asked for it extra hot and so it was crispy on the bottom. We had dinner here and my grand daughter (6 years iold) went to bathroom and the door was very heavy and swung back and hit her in the head. The prerson runnig the place at the time did nor seem to care at all that the girl was injured, he kept saying it is not his fault and proceeded to to throw us out of the resturant. Ordered a penne broccoli rabe DINNER.. said several times to gentleman on phone.(He was not acknowledging order). Order of ziti was fine . Came home no penne. Called and spoke to someone else who told me I didn't order penne and wasn't charged for it. I said I ordered a dinner.. there was no apology . Just you didn't order penne..! Mistakes happen but there was no acknowledgment or apology. Apparently manager was there when my husband picked up dinner yet he didn't handle the phone call. We recently moved to the area and we're so grateful we had a pizza spot nearby. Ordered our first pizza in our new home... way undercooked, crust was about half of the pizza. We figured "stuff happens" and next time we will ask for it to be well done. Next time we ordered the pie, asked for well done, pick up our pie to find it is in fact not well done... same doughy taste. I also ordered a chicken ceaser salad, and it was like it had been made and dressed hours ago. Lettuce soaking wet, croutons complete mush. We tried this place 3 times!!!!! And will not be going back. The owner is young, has even younger kids working the counter and I don't think one of them, owner included, cares how the pizza comes out. What a shame read more

Came at opening. The owner turned on the air and some music when we walked in pies all came out fresh and everything was delicious. They made a bacon slice for my son and the other has a plain slice. The slices had chewy soft crust. We had grandma slices and they were amazing (I'd recommend this) and then we also had naked Buffalo wings. They were big wings and came with 3 pieces of celery. We also had the meat balls. All delicious. The meatballs came with a lot of sauce which was perfect to dip all our crusts in!! read more

Still haven't had the chance to dine in (Thank you Ms. Rona) but I recently used them for a catering order. Once again I was thoroughly pleased with the food, even more so than their pizza. The one dish that I really loved was their baked ziti *chefs kiss*. Their staff is also incredibly friendly. As an added bonus they gave my father (a retired police officer) a discount. I know he was a little worried to ask for it with the world we live in today (even though they advertise it on their website) but they were very happy to apply it. Think I found my new pre-Montauk, pre-winery, pre-fruit picking pizza spot. Perfectly located off the LIE, I was in need of a slice to tide me over, and this place did the trick, and more. The slice was super fresh, good cheese-to-sauce ratio, and good social distancing measures. Reasonably priced and terrific service to boot. I have ordered many times from this location. Very inconsistent. We ordered today and the calzone was completely burnt on the bottom. Have had burnt pizza, stale bread for heroes, late deliviries. When I have called the owner is too busy to speak to anyone , seriously. Not good. Not enough restaurants in our area. Very sad read more

We went here last night based on the reviews. In terms of food, which is truly the thing restaurants really should get right, they absolutely did! We didn't order any appetizers. Our server was a young girl, she brought us warm bread and garlic knots right away. My only commentary here is that the butter was hard, just removed from a refrigerator which I can't fail them for, especially since the place was empty, why take butter out if you're not expecting a crowd? Dinner comes with salad or pasta, except my husband's which was a pasta. The salad was a nice blend of greens, radishes, onion and shredded carrots. All crisp all fresh. Most dressings are made on the premises, which I LOVE because I hate bottled dressing. I loved the salad. My husband had the gnocchi with vodka sauce, my daughter the chicken parm and I had the special chicken Sorrento. The portions were tremendous, in fact, so large my husband commented that it was family style. And it was delicious. The sauces were perfect on all three dishes. Everything was fresh and hot. We brought home the leftovers so we can enjoy them again today. Our server made a fresh pot of decaf for us and we had gelato for dessert by the pint. The bill for three of us with 2 glasses of wine was a modest $109.00, clearly and excellent value. Our server was great. She checked with us often, refilled soda and my wine, brought parm cheese quickly. She was friendly and courteous. The ONLY reason they get four stars is absolutely no ambience. It's a pizzeria! The dine in side is barely separated by a low glass wall and it is brightly lit. Raise the wall, lower the lights, use tablecloths, candlelight, etc. I'll go back, the food will call me, but I wish it were more like a restaurant. It should be packed on a Saturday night, and we were the only diners except for one gentleman who dined alone and appeared to be a regular. So, our family first had Pennachio's in December and we ordered two pies: one plain cheese and one with meatball and onions. Both were lacking in sauce and had insane amounts of cheese. Fast forward to February 2020 and my dad and I decide to give them another chance. He ordered the chicken parm and I got the penne alla vodka. Question....who puts ground beef in their penne alla vodka? On the menu it states that they make a meatless version and I'm thinking "oh that's probably the prosciutto or ham". Nope, it's a bunch of unseasoned ground beef. My dad mentioned his chicken parm was dry and the sauce wasn't even flavorful at all. We gave it two chances but it wasn't worth the money we shelled out for it. I'm giving it two stars just because the place was clean and the order was done quickly. After testing different places in Eastport and being unhappy with either the quality or the prices or both, I decided to give Pennachio's a try. Finally! I found my local Italian place. Veal parmigiana: excellent. Chicken parm: excellent. Eggplant parm: the best in a long time. Baked clams: whole clams and wonderful. Good salad. Portions are generous. Prices are better than most. I stopped in here a little while back after meeting the owner Tom somewhere else. I have only tried the pizza so far and can say that it is the best I have found around. I am 10 minutes away in Eastport and will definitely drive the extra distance in the future for it. They do have gluten free options as well as dairy free cheese if you are into that sort of thing... I've heard from a couple people who have gotten some meals catered from here with nothing but positive experiences. They told me that I have to try Toms bolognese sauce :-) read more
