Let me start by saying I live in Ridge. This place is great if you are in a bind, but by no means do I go out of my way to get food here. It is more of a pizza place than an Italian restaurant. Although they have a wide selection of different types of pizza slices, they are are very generic. Out of all of them I believe the OG Grandma pizza is their best. They try to overdo it with all these crazy flavors but if they stuck to the basics (6-10) different pies they can really take the pizza to the next level. Same goes for the dining food, I take quality over quantity any day. Again, its not BAD, but it wouldn't be a place I take my friends/family from out of state for authentic pizza/Italian. Something worth noting. I had a bad experience the last time I went there which unfortunately made me decide not to come back. If you haven't herd of 'too good to go', google it, it will help with story. I called Alfredos a half hour before closing to order 1 plain pie. I got a bad vibe on the phone like I was inconveniencing them. I arrive 15 minutes later I didn't want to keep them waiting and my pie is just getting 'sent' (Placed in oven) so I know its got a solid 10-13 mins (average) So I wait and while I'm waiting I ask the clerk "Do you do too good to go?" because I noticed a significant about of leftover pizza in display case. He replies "No" I then asked "What do you do with all of this pizza at the end of the night?" He replied "We throw it out" I know for a fact based on experience that MOST pizza places either give it to staff to take it home, or will sell it all for a cheap price opposed to just wasting it in the trash. So I ask and the guy gave me a really hard time. I said "If you're not taking it home, can I pay you (offer cash or charge whatever's easier) I don't want it free" He then rushed my pie out of the oven and said "Have a good night!" It really rubbed me the wrong way, what a complete waste. Take the cash and pocket it, share it as a 'tip' I don't care. Why would you not want to make MORE money and make a customer happy? Between that the the unprofessional delivery drivers in street clothes eating behind the counter and touching everything with their bare hand I said I'm done wit this place. Omg AMAZING! The Pizza was Awesome, the Garlic knots delicious, mozzarella sticks GREAT, and the Cheese Cake SOOOO OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS! I honestly liked it better than Cheesecake Factorys cheese cake! My Son ordered Chicken Alavodka , A good amount of chicken , the portion size was amazing for the price ! The only reason we have to go here it's because it's one of the only spots in Ridge. They never got the order right they're always rude on the phone and then they're rude to you when you go in. I order the same thing every Thursday and my son went to go pick it up and they didn't have our cheesy bread. No problem he goes back in and they say oh we didn't get it in your order we placed the order they charge us now we're waiting another 10 minutes when he comes back to the car they handed him a salad? I had to go in now. We have been sitting in the car for over 25 minutes at this point waiting for the right food my husband is a little bit more forgiving than I am so he decides to go back every time but every time we do, we always have a problem. read more

We came here because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was delightful. Garlic knots were AMAZING. Stuffed shells? Not so good. Literally they must have cooked everything together at once because the shells had a funny taste to them, not all of them but some of them were just unbearable. The cheese was watered down. I moved to Ridge in 2005. Not gonna lie. I didn't like Alfredo's for many years, but they have really stepped up their game. They make a good pizza. Get the Grandma pie or the LI Clam's Casino pizza. You won't be disappointed. read more

Oof! We ordered a plain pie and calamari last night. They said 45-60 mins for delivery. It was actually almost 2 hours. That's fine. The pizza was not good. It was of course cold at this point, the bottom of the pie was really burned and bitter, while the actual crust itself lacked crunch. For me, it was inedible. The calamari was status quo but I hate to think what would happen to it on a hot summer day. In a car for an hour and a half. It was probably the worst pizza I've had in quite some time. The Dinners are great, just be sure to ask for the marinara sauce instead of the thinner one they give by default. There's only one rude person at Alfredos, but I think they took care of it with some female who used to answer the phone. Very, very disappointed tonight. We've ordered from Alfredos a few times now. We absolutely love their angry vodka pizza, the Thai chili is delicious, and the cowboy chicken roll is an awesome change from the usual. Tonight, we ordered the linguine carbonara for a change. Listed as onions and peas in a cream sauce, we figured it was a classic, and therefore assumed there was also some form of guanciale, pancetta, or bacon. Sounds great. Delivery shows up, we're enjoying the counter items, then we open the pasta. It is COVERED in mushrooms. Mushrooms weren't mentioned anywhere in the Doordash description. Mushrooms don't belong in a classic carbonara, and aren't going to be assumed. The person it was intended for is highly allergic, and the other person hates them. Like, complete aversion. This could have been incredibly dangerous for the intended recipient. We do love most of their foods, and we'll likely be back for the ones we love. But we'll be much more careful about the dinners from now. read more

Just left there totally disgusted. been going there for years and never any problem. Today I ordered two calzones and the guy helping me was disgusting. Kept touching his face / wiping the sweat. Handling my food with only one glove puts my food in the oven. Then goes to the bathroom and out quick. Did he wash his hands, were they dry??? puts on only one glove at takes my food out the oven handling it with questionable hygiene. All the time I'm watching. We stopped here on way home from a Dr appointment mostly because it was on the way. I got the Pasta Rustica "Light on the olive oil" and my mom got the Veal Parmesan with spaghetti. I arrived before my order was done and while I waited I got to look at all the delicious pizzas they have available by the slice. They even had a salad pizza which was a cold salad, on top of a slice of pizza. Our bag must have weighed 10 pounds! We got the bag home and there was so much food! Honestly, one dish would be enough feed at least 2 people. My pasta rustica was delicious. Perfect amount of sausage, beans, escarole, roasted garlic and I chose rigatoni. My mom said her veal was a little dry and she was not crazy about the sauce. I do not normally have red sauce so I could not confirm or deny this. I had to think long and hard about this one since it's been hit or miss so 3.5 stars but I rounded up. I'm not crazy about their pizza but their entrees have always been decent for the most part. The last order was a total miss. I ordered pasta polocioffo which was chicken and artichoke hearts. Meh. Very underwhelming. Their pasta fagioli was also a bust. I make my own excellent pasta fagioli ::pats self on back:: lol, but when you don't feel like cooking you try to find comfort in a comforting bowl from a restaurant. It was toooo tomato-ey like so many other Long Island restaurants/pizzerias and some beans and whole cloves of garlic The rice ball was some weird thing that I can't even explain. They cut the ball in half and smothered it in cheese. No meat, no filling and the rice was undercooked and crunchy. Big fail The Greek salad was enough to feed an army and was the best thing an Italian restaurant could have come up with to resemble a Greek salad. I did enjoy although probably not as much as from an actual Greek restaurant. Lots of yummy kalamata olives so who can complain about that, not I! I think I'll stick to their pizza from now on. Visited on 3-5-23. First time here. Came with a group of people so we ordered a bunch of menu items and shared everything. Ordered a baked ziti dish, a Bolognese dish, a "Sunday Sauce" dish which had pasta, meatballs, sliced sausage and a pork chop, and it was in a tasty tomato sauce with ricotta cheese. Also ordered a nice house salad with prosciutto and a riceball special as an app along with a grandma slice and a bbq chicken and broccoli slice. Everything was very good but the Sunday Sauce and Bolognese dishes were definitely standouts. They give you complimentary garlic knots to start everyone off. Service was excellent as well. Very attentive wait staff. They offered quite a large selection of specialty pizzas that I wasn't able to try this time around, but I'll be back. I've gone to Long Island for years to visit my family, and I always look forward to getting Alfredo's. Their pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had in my life. It is so fresh and light, I love the dough! They have some of the best pizza flavors, too, like their chicken parm pizza. Amazing! I've never seen another restaurant do that, and it was so good! They're all so good though, It's hard to pick a favorite. Not pictured, but I also absolutely love their hero's! Again, everything just tastes so good and fresh. read more
