I don't know why I haven't taken pictures for this place, but it's a place we order from all the time! We love their food and their service! They also have a small but nice restaurant in the back and a cute little bar. This place is always busy, but the service and food is always awesome! We not only get take-out all the time, but we have them cater many of our events. The staff is amazing and so friendly. If you go in to place a catering order and they are busy, they say they will call you back to take your order, and they always do. When we call for take out and they're busy, they will often say 45 minutes to 1 hour, but it's always less. I can't say enough about how great this place is, and how happy we are that they are down the road, 5 minutes from us! Next time, I'll be sure to take pictures :-) read more

I was working in the area today and decided to stop on for a bite to eat. I've been to the Coram location, but it's been a while! Upon walking in I saw so many different types of pizza to chose from. I had to scale the display case a few times to decide what I wanted. So many choices!! I settled with a vodka eggplant slice and a bbq chicken slice. The vodka eggplant slice was so delicious and definitely nothing I've ever had before. It was very unique and I really enjoyed it! The BBQ chicken slice was good as well! La Bistro hosted my son's baptism this weekend and in the past we held my daughter's communion there. They do such an amazing job and the food is phenomenal. My family was so excited to hear we were going back for the baby's baptism after the last event because they were looking forward to the food. We had a beautiful cozy back room and a true Italian Sunday, eating, drinking, and talking. It was completely relaxed, wonderful communication from the staff, beautifully presented, and at ease. I can't believe the beautiful artwork in every slice they make; these pizza chefs are truly masterful. Their attention to detail and the flavors make it feel like you're sitting on the Italian coast. As a Sicilian, I know a thing or two about pizza. Their menu is mouthwatering, with a fantastic variety of salads and entrées across different categories. They even offer catering, which I'm looking forward to using in the future. The service here is top-notch, with a great group of guys up front who have fantastic personalities and a great sense of humor. If this place didn't have good food I wouldn't go back. The service is always god awful, the "gentlemen" that work inside are complete brick brains. They never have many slices to select from, and if you don't order ahead of time it takes about 45 minutes for the brick brains to take your order and figure out what you needed and have you pay because they are all running around like brainless chickens. If they could hire more help and/or people who know how to work in general let alone a busy pizza joint they would do a lot better. read more

it's time to sing LaBistro praises again. I reviewed first 5 years ago. It's even better now. Their pizza is AMAZING! Perfectly cooked every time. Their crispy crust is the best around with the panko bread crumbs on the bottom. The SWR area is not lacking in pizza/Italian choices. And they all are good. But La Bistro is a cut above. Their specialty pies are generously topped, priced well and bursting with flavor. We had the Rustica last night for the first time, and it won't be the last! Sicilian style topped with fresh mozzarella, fresh pesto, roasted peppers & tomatoes with balsamic reduction on top. My heavens, it was to die for! The crust was perfectly crisped, and one slice was so filling and satisfying. We also ordered a cheese pie, which consistently never disappoints! Another specialty pie you won't see in the menu, but you have to try if you like calamari is the Buffalo calamari pie. WOW! In addition, I have catered from here several times since my last review. The food is fantastic! We always get the penne ala vodka because everyone loves it. Chicken franchese always tender and delicious. Have ordered other trays and always very happy. If you order over a certain amount you get free tray of garlic knots. Those are fantastic too. Never greasy, always soft, crispy and melt in your mouth. We have dined in a few times as well. Small dining area in the back has table service. It's a little slow, but that's because the food here is so great, it's worth the wait every time. La bistro where do I begin if you eat pizza in this area like I do I mean really really eat pizza you will know that it is hit or miss. But with la bistro when I walked in the ambiance was a hit the service was a hit and the food was most certainly a hit! The dude at the counter wore a grey beanie he was friendly but not too friendly but if you poked and prodded him enough he'd ask ya where you're from and tell you he made that hot steamin slice just for you! I teetered back and forth on how to rate La Bistro. I mean, any pizza place really has that issue, at least on Long Island. There's just so many of them and they can easily meld together in your mind like the sprinkled mozzarella cheese melting on your pizza in the oven. But some factors can help a place stand out and that's what (I think) is the case here. With two visits under my belt, I feel I can somewhat make a more accurate telling of La Bistro. For starters, they have the normal strip mall storefront, though a handful of outdoor tables is always a nice touch. Inside, things don't necessarily look like your normal pizzeria (one factor of stand out). I say this with a positive connotation as the marbled tables and walls along with modern wood floors makes the place seem like some American bistro. Their tiny bar is also worth noting (as is the tv playing a loop of...fish swimming? Hey, I dug it). Most importantly, you'd want to know about the pizza. Both experiences I came with my girlfriend and her family so we ordered up a few pies and a variety of knots each time. Starting with the knots from both trips, their regular ones were shiny with garlic butter and tasted pretty solid. I hate a tiny, dry, burned knot and these were anything but that. Next were the intriguing buffalo knots. These suckers were doused with a buffalo sauce before being cooked and drizzled with blue cheese afterwards. They were as tasty as they sound with a bready-heat coming with each bite. On the second visit we tried their stuffed (mozzarella cheese) knots. I'll never tell you there's too much cheese, but these wavered on that a bit. They still did the trick, especially with a dip in some marinara sauce accompanied on the side. Okay so NOW we'll talk pizza. White, pepperoni, and plain compiled the entirety of two times here so nothing out of the ordinary was consumed. I will say, looking in their display case made me intrigued to try a few of their other concoctions (perhaps another stand out point, but one I can't verify just yet). The White was creamy and garlicky with a great glob of ricotta built in the middle. Pepperoni were thin-sliced but crispy on the ends (a personal favorite of mine). And the cheese? Seemed like a satisfying slice of pizza to me with no over-spicing on any herbs, just the right amount of sauce, and worth eating more than one piece. All this could constitute a respectable review, but the one stand out that, well, stood out a bit (a little more on the first trip) were the employees who seemed happy to be there. They interacted nicely with us when delivering our pies to the table and getting plates and anything else we needed. Sounds like pretty basic stuff you'd expect from any food establishment, but some of those factors can get lost at a pizzeria and I feel like they were a little more focused here. Overall, I'm still teetering on my decision for how to review La Bistro. It's a solid four stars for sure, but does it deserve the five? Is the ambiance, solid pizza and knot selection, and mostly memorable service worth the extra star? Yeah, they can have it. It's worth at least another half so we'll go up to five and call it 4 1/2 (Let's go with the half stars already, Yelp). Consider La Bistro a pizza place above your average spot so give em a shot if you're out in Wading River. read more

We were stopping by the shopping center to get lunch before heading to Wildwood State Park and we decided to order pizza there. The place had dine in area, but I saw most people were just taking out. There were lots of choices of toppings for the pizza and the slide size was big. They re-heated the slides for us after we placed our order. The pizza came out very yummy and the pepperoni pizza came in lots of pepperonis. The pizza was very crunchy and my kids love it. The only complaint I had was that there was a fly flying around and the employees neither did not see it nor care about it. The fly was on the glass for over 15 seconds before it kept flying. I think it is critical to keep a bugs free restaurant. So overall good quality was good and the price was affordable, but they needed to improve their cleanliness. read more

Best. Pizza. In. NY. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. I am lucky enough to have lived less than 10 minutes away from La Bistro my entire life, and I have had the pleasure of watching this pizzeria transform into a beautiful booming restaurant complete with ambiance and an extensive menu while still maintaining the fraternity and familial atmosphere of a true NY family pizzeria. Not only are the staff hard workers and good people, but they sure can make a perfect pizza and crack a joke or two to keep you entertained you while your food is prepared. I'm so addicted to the pizza (and still working my way through trying every slice) that I have yet to sit down at the restaurant and venture into the full menu, but if it's anything like their pizza (and I've heard that it is), your taste buds are in for an experience like no other. The first thing I do when I get home from school in California is go grab a slice or two or three from La Bistro. The first thing I do when I get off of work hungry is go grab a slice from La bistro. Eh. Half of the time it's pretty okay, the rest it's awful. I feel like everytime I walk in, I'm a burden to the workers. It's like they forgot how to smile. When they first opened, the food was phenomenal every single time. Now, it's hit or miss. I feel that they are overwhelmed with customers and have forgotten their ways a bit.
