Mom received a fair quote and it was scheduled over 2 days this past week. In PA, they were on time, wrapped everything so well, were polite, courteous and helpful. In NJ, they were exactly the same. They took such care with my mom's belongings. They put cardboard down so they didn't track mud and leaves on the rug. They hung blankets on doors so furniture wouldn't get scratched and doors wouldn't get marked up. They work so efficiently and professionally. They were friendly and very helpful. They seemed friendly, and provided decent pricing. Had two issues with them... the person pricing the move and the person scheduling the move are not the same person. One time I received a message saying that my date was available. When I called to confirm, I was told that the date was not available. This happened a few times. Anyway, we finally squared away the date. Movers came on time and walked through the house with me, to confirm what was being moved. I had a couple of issues with one of the movers, but nothing that I could not take care of. The main staff person was great. He knew how to take apart and reinstall the bed frame, etc. Would definitely use them again... although I hope we don't have to move any time soon.

Main Street Movers sent Alex Della Valle to my house to ensure I received an accurate quote for my…read moremove. Based on his assessment, three men and a 26 foot truck arrived on moving day. What should have been a simple two bedroom condo move took two round trips and 12 exhausting and stressful hours. The cost went from the estimated $2,000 to $3,000. I depended on Alex to know that in order to ensure a smooth move in a timely manner at the price he quoted, he needed to send a larger truck and more men. The three men arrived on time, were hardworking and careful with my belongings. However, during the last few hours, we were all exhausted. In a desperate effort to finish, I had to bring things in myself, and was unable to supervise. This resulted in the second load of boxes in complete disarray and many on the wrong floor of the house. A month later I am still unable to locate important items. When we called Main Street Movers to discuss it, Alex blamed the incompetence of sending too few men and a wrong size truck on their operations department. He denied low balling the estimate. The owners, Karen Mantzouranis and Tom Mantzouranis, refused to get on the phone at all or take any responsibility for our horrendous move. Please be forewarned and do not use Main Street movers.

Need a filter cartridge for an above-ground filter. You can get them online for a reasonable…read moreamount. Pelican charged me 160+ dollars, almost 3 times the retail. The guy gave me an excuse that they are not online. (they are). It wasn't wrapped or boxed. No info. on brand or what. Since I was desperate, I had to buy it. I got it home, and although it was the right size, the inner hole had a 2" gap, compared to my old filter that fit tight. I called- no returns. I heard their services after you purchase are horrible. I would give them zero stars but the people at the register were nice. Beware the old ol' boys in the back of the store, they're only in there for the quick buck. Will never go there again.
