We paid rent faithfully for nearly 5 years. The facility has refused to replace the mattresses and also required us to handle the removal of the mattresses that had mold. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and plan to file a lawsuit. This is unacceptable, and I hope it does not happen to anyone else. Do not store your belongings here. The facility is not capable of protecting against the wet weather.

The upstairs is even clean. You move your stuff into the storage and of course it gets dusty I can understand that but the infestation of rats is over the top. There was also evidence of termites throughout the unit. But to be honest termites and spiders and bugs were my least concern. Of all the storage units I've ever had in my life I have never had a problems with rats. I do not have any food or anything that would attract them to my stuff. I didn't even want to get into my car after touching all my stuff that was just covered in this nasty stuff. A shower was the only thing I could think of. Unfortunately I would definitely not recommend this place unless you don't care about your items and don't care about rat poop all over your stuff. I would also say The lady that helps me when I came to move out was not very informative. Renting a U-Haul has never been such a pain. You usually walk in get the keys walk out check the truck and you're on the way. It took over an hour for this process. Do not rent a U-Haul from them. So after this long process I go to my storage unit to find it full of rat poop let me tell you moving out was not a fun thing. Also they don't have an elevator. I definitely give this place two thumbs down and I hope I don't get any diseases from touching and breathing in that toxic air. I should have taken photos, But I didn't even want to touch my phone. I hope the stuff that I did keep doesn't get me sick as well.

Finally got around to writing the review. We used them to temporarily store items for my student in…read morebetween dorm and apartment. It's all true, they're the closest storage to UCSD campus. If you need storage for the summer, call early because they fill fast. Luckily, I started calling around several weeks before end-of-school and was able to the get the size I wanted. They have an elevator with carts for units on the second floor. Front office staff is friendly (constantly offered us water bottles even though we never took advantage, we appreciated the gesture). Once you have your unit and key, easy access by gate code during open hours so mostly self-service. With a student in the area for a few more years, it's nice to know we have this option for another move when needed.
