I've heard so many horror stories of people getting their cartilage pierced, so I was very particular in where I went. Safe to say, I am so so so glad I came to Stay True. When I come in, everyone is so welcoming. They were very kind and professional throughout the whole process. And there were so many piercing choices omg. I found one that perfectly fit my vision. My piercer was so incredibly knowledgeable of what he was doing that all of my anxiety went away. He also addressed my questions with a lot of care. I'm so incredibly happy my new piercings!! My new favorite place to talk about.

I really wanted to love this place based on its reputation, but unfortunately my experience has…read morebeen disappointing from start to finish. On April 10th, I spent $785.08 on three piercings: my second lobes and a conch. Before the appointment, I showed inspiration photos and explained my vision to the person at the front, including that my long-term goal was a double conch. However, there was clearly a breakdown in communication between the front desk and the piercer. It was not until after the conch had already been pierced that I was told double conches are normally planned and pierced together. Had that been explained beforehand, I would have made a different decision. I was also unhappy with the placement of my second lobe piercings. I was wearing larger diamond studs that day, so the spacing looked fine in the mirror. Once I got home and wore hoops, I realized the second holes were placed much farther away than I wanted. The photos also show an old, partially closed hole near that area, which makes me wonder whether the piercer may have thought I already had a second lobe and placed the new one more like a third. I cannot know that for certain, but because I explained everything and showed my photos to the front desk rather than directly to the piercer, it adds to my concern that the information was never properly communicated. For the amount I paid, I expected a much more thorough consultation, better communication, and more education about placement, jewelry, and aftercare. On June 8th, I returned because I had an MRI and needed my conch jewelry replaced with a retainer. I also told the front desk that I needed my lobe jewelry downsized. Once again, that information was not passed along. After the piercer finished changing the conch jewelry and began packing up, I had to remind him about the lobes. He sighed and said he had not been told. The appointment again felt rushed. I had to ask how the retainer worked, how to put my original jewelry back in, and whether it was threaded or threadless. I was not told what material the retainer was made from, how long it should stay in, whether it was appropriate to leave in a healing piercing, or what warning signs to watch for. Because no instructions were given, I assumed it was fine to leave it in. When I later went to clean the piercing, I realized the skin had grown over the O-ring and it had become embedded in the back of my ear. When I pushed the jewelry slightly, the area began bleeding heavily. My husband had to use a flashlight while I pushed the jewelry forward hard enough for the embedded O-ring to come back through the skin. We then removed the O-ring and took the retainer out completely. I have included photos showing the retainer immediately after it was placed, the skin covering the O-ring, the bleeding, the retainer after removal, and the condition of my ear after I had to force it out. I cannot say whether the retainer was meant to be left in long-term because that was never explained to me. That is exactly the problem. I should not have had to guess how to manage a healing cartilage piercing after paying a professional studio to change the jewelry. After spending nearly $900 between the original piercings, jewelry, downsizing, and the retainer, I expected professional guidance and confidence that my piercings were being handled correctly. Instead, the retainer became embedded, I had no choice but to remove the conch completely, and I now have to let the area heal before it can be repierced. I lost the piercing and the hundreds of dollars I spent on it. After everything that happened, I felt I had no choice but to write this review.

At about 10 o'clock last night I managed to schedule an appointment with the Apple store at Westfarms mall in West Hartford Connecticut so that a tech could look at it in person. My appointment was for 5 PM today. I got there a few minutes ahead of time and was greeted pleasantly and asked to sit down and they would be with me in a few minutes and they were. A technician asked me several questions about the problem, seated me at the table and said he would be right back. He came back with his Macbook, connected up my iPad, put it in DFU mode, and in less than 30 minutes I had ios15.0.2. Through the process he showed me how I could've done this at home if it ever happens again. Terrific job by great people at the Apple store!

You can't stand on your feet? It has to be tush to table? Cool. They saw me walk in and go right to the product I wanted. I know this because the product was five feet past them. Since this store can't just have registers like a normal store, you need an employee to come over and ring you out. I had to go interrupt the gossiping teen boys (ok they were men in their thirties but as far as I care, they had the souls of gossippy teen boys). Nobody who works at this store seems to understand that it is their literal job to help customers. Finally a woman helped me. Interesting. Only saw women helping people. All the men standing around talking to each other like they had a thumb up an orifice. After insisting I give her enough personal information to successfully steal my identity if the store wanted to, I was allowed to purchase some headphones. When I left, the manchildren were still talking about their video game, as they had been the entire time. I think the 20 min I spent in there showed me enough about the management of that location that if I were making decisions, I'd be cutting people. Crap leadership leads to crap behavior from your team and crap experiences for customers is the end result. Thank god I was just passing through and don't have to go back there. Slack jawed buffoons. And one overworked woman.

There is a closure next week for a few days which is COVID related and to be clear that's not what this review is about. What it is about is long lasting staffing issues that are effecting my child and family. This is not impossible to deal with but it's difficult to recommend EPC when compared to its local contemporaries until things stabilize. Any follow ups or comments to this review will be addressed with updates.

My favorite feature of EPC (and is actually a primary feature that sealed the deal compared to other centers) is the tadpole program. I've got so much anxiety about being away from my child and so its nice to see her happiness during the day. I greatly look forward to getting those pictures each day. Unfortunately with all the things going on, there are some days where we get either 1 picture or none at all; however I know once things start to settle, it'll get much better! :) The tadpole system can be a clunky and so sometimes you get these random pieces of information in your daily report...probably not an EPC issue but hopefully feedback goes to tadpole so they can improve their software! In addition, sometimes all of the information isn't correct in tadpole (i.e. maybe your child ate twice but its only logged once) however i am able to ask the teachers and they can let me know what happened in a given day...again I think its just been a little crazy lately and things will start to smooth! I'm glad I can ask any and all questions and everyone is extremely responsive and helpful. The free diaper service is awesome for the under 1 year olds and much appreciated! The physical location is great and convenient even during rush hour! It's nicely tucked away and not in a congested area. Most importantly, the staff is amazing. Love the chickadees ladies! I can talk to them about my daughter or the random things happening in my day/week and its nice to be able to build a connection with the people who spend the most time with my daughter during a week. I appreciate the time they take to listen to all my comments and questions. Lastly! We would highly recommend EPC to any family. Looking forward to continuing our time here and for all the in the process things to settle :)e

Shortly after Brandon showed up. He did an AMAZING job on our carpet. He genuinely cared, was sorry about the experience we had the day before and did an outstanding job. I was extremely impressed with his friendly personality, caring nature, and professionalism. I do appreciate they took care of this and it is unfortunate that I had to lose 2 days getting 1 room of carpet cleaned and the aggravation accompanying it. However, in the end, they did come through. If you are going to use them make sure you ask for Brandon. He is awesome!!!! I never write a review unless I first reach out to the company to try to resolve this. However, I feel it is necessary to warn others. For many years I used a different and amazing carpet cleaning company. When they left, it looked like brand new carpet! My boyfriend wanted to try Stanley Steemer, so I reluctantly agreed to it. According to reviews, they did warn about how they will try to upsell you. Which of course he did within the first 5 minutes of arriving. I firmly said no I only want what I had scheduled for. I have 2 cameras in the room he was cleaning the carpet in. I was watching him the entire time and saw what he did or did not do. He did not pretreat any stains (their customer service rep said they are supposed to), and missed many spots. When he was finished which was about 20 minutes later I went to see the carpet and it looked terrible. I pointed things out to him and he got very defensive. I told him the previous carpet cleaning company always had the carpets look beautiful and I couldn't understand why ours did not remotely look like that. Instead of being professional and working on it some more so we were satisfied with it, he got very combative and confrontational. Almost to the point of scary. It just seemed like he wanted to get in and out of here and go home. I contacted customer service and spoke with an amazing and wonderful rep named Debbie. She went above and beyond and said she reached out to his manager and I should be expecting a call back. Debbie even went as far as calling me at 7:30 pm tonight to see if he called. I did not receive any call, email, text, nothing. I have pictures of how terrible my carpet looks and video of how he spoke to me. As of right now, 6 hours later our carpet is still soaking wet. So I don't know if he didn't suck up enough water or what. I would never recommend this company EVER! Paid $205 for 1 bedroom carpet and a hallway runner. And now have to call the previous and awesome carpet cleaning company to redo it.E

I paid less than 1300.00 for the refrigerator itself so I declined the repairs but still had to pay 140.00 for the service call. A day or so later I decided to look into it myself and found some videos online to diagnose the problem. Turns out the icemaker needed replacement, I ordered a new one and installed it myself, 90.00 parts and a little bit of my time and my fridge is making ice. An update to this review: after posting the manager of A Action reached out to me and apologized for the misdiagnosis of my fridge and offered a refund for the service call. He was friendly and wanted to make things right, he also made me aware that they have had a lot of problems with my model and usually quote it for door replacement and mentioned a possible class action lawsuit against whirlpool for a poor design.
