Wow. From the quality of the jewelry to the level cleanliness to the skills of my body piercer (Joe), I was beyond impressed and had a very good experience at Stay True Body Piercing. You need to make an appointment before coming in, and as soon I walked in for mine, I was greeted by one of the staff members, who also helped me pick out jewelry for my piercing. I didn't get her name, but she was very thorough in showing me my different options at various price points. I did some paperwork (all digital), and then Joe came out and got me. Joe was very kind and explained everything in detail (what to expect, post-piercing care, when I should return for a piercing assessment, etc.). Joe, along with all staff members, wore masks the entire time, and when handling any piece of jewelry, they always wore gloves, so it was very, very sanitary. The room I was pierced in was immaculately clean, had a minimalist aesthetic, and had a sterilization machine, so there was no doubt in my mind about something being clean or not. They only use sterile single-use piercing needles, which is the cleanest and safest way to do it. What a great shop! Went last week to get a philtrum pierced. Joe pierced me and he was lovely - answered questions honestly and was very relaxed and friendly throughout the process. Also, he asked for my consent through the entire process which was so considerate. The shop is clean and organized - they use disposable piercing clamps (super sanitary) and take extra care to sterilize the piercing area. With any piercing or tattoo, you get what you pay for - this is worth the money for sure. The jewelry is high quality and there's a huge selection. Online booking is a huge plus! read more

I went to this piercing place to get my daughter a navel piercing after wanting one for a while. As I walked in I was greeted by a really nice man who told us to wait for the piercer to "asses my daughter's anatomy". The piercer then comes over and tells her to "show him her belly button", that she did. He then touches it and after about .5 seconds of his hand being on her belly button he says; "it's too small, sorry". I don't know if he was really looking at it or just didn't feel like doing it but I left because I knew deep down that it wasn't. 30 minutes later we got a consultation at another place and they said she had the "perfect anatomy" and pierced her perfectly. My daughter and I had a wonderful experience here. She wanted to get her ear lobes pierced for the first time for her 8th birthday, so I did my research and selected Stay True. It's not the closest or the cheapest studio but they fit my criteria-- APP members, tandem earlobe piercing for kids, and a minimum age policy reflecting the importance of assent from the child being pierced. Joe was phenomenal. He explained and/or demonstrated every step in the process and made sure my daughter was ok to proceed. He was so patient and respectful towards her. Once we were all set up, he brought in Jeane and they got the job done smoothly. For the full mother-daughter experience, I went for a flat piercing right after my daughter. It was over so quickly I hardly even felt it. Just like with my daughter, Joe narrated each step so there were no surprises. We wrapped up with our aftercare instructions, which were thorough but also simple enough for a kid to understand. The studio itself is very clean and uncluttered but also comfortable. The jewelry selection is amazing, really hard to choose from so many beautiful pieces. Again, not cheap, these are not Claire's prices so adjust expectations accordingly. The staff member helping us with jewelry was nice, helpful, and attentive. Stay True is definitely going to be my go to piercing studio from here on out. read more

Each time , the facility was so spotlessly clean I would feel comfortable eating off the floor. The staff are incredibly professional and communicate with you through each movement in the piercing process. I felt very respected and considered through each stage. Since I moved, I've been searching for a new piercing place in CT. I found one and got my nipples pierced. They were crooked so I took them out after a few months. Did some more research and found Stay True. It looked promising since it reminded me of JuL Head where I used to go in So Cal. Well my insitincts were right. Jeane, who did my nipple piercings last night was amazing. She made sure they were straight, and and even from the very first marking, she removed it and corrected. That moment is when I knew I finally found a new home for piercings. She definitely has an eye for detail(s), and I'm super hapy my piercings came out straight this time. Defnitely coming back to re-pierce a couple of more things :) Love this place. Price is definitely worth it. I've read some reviews saying it's not cheap. Well, Jewelry ain't cheap. Jewelry prices start at around $75 per piece because they only sell titanium or 18k/24k white/yellow/rose gold piercing jewelry and I promise you'll want to buy one of everything!! I have been there on two separate occasions and the price breaks down to this: I got two lobe piercings and after the appointment deposit, piercing cost and titanium jewelry, the total came out to about $200. I got a nostril piercing and including the booking price the total came out to about $140-$150. All in all, they are amazing and I highly recommend going to them! I got a double nose piercing on July 28, 2021... It was a great experience, I paid $60 for each tri ball in white gold, plus all the posts and service charges it came to $310 including tip. I just went back today which is August 5, 2021 because I lost the top tri ball piece and needed a replacement, The woman tells me it's $85 it came to $106 in total... that is absolutely ridiculous! I told her it was $60 when I got it the first time and she had the audacity to say it was inflation! INFLATION?!? It's been 8 days lady... Stay true to what your pockets? Edit: three 1 reviews on my profile over the course of 2 years??? yours is one of them for a reason. I called before hand as it's a 45 minute drive for me and over the phone I was told the jewelry I was looking for wasn't popular and wouldn't sell out before I came in, it's not like you bought a new batch at a more expensive price within the week. Got my chest dermal two years ago with stay true. The old stud was looking dull. Had some beautiful opal and diamond replacements. I chose the diamond replacement and it's beautiful. Per usual, Yelp led me here. The reviews were all amazing and reassuring. My daughter needed to redo her "daith" piercing from having her original one being removed 6 months prior. The first questions were, can she have it redone in the same ear without complications, then what jewelry options do you have? Alexis looked at her ear and said, Yes, we can do it in the same ear without incident. My daughter was pleased, as she loved having it in her left ear. Now let's talk about jewelry options. So many to chose from that it made it hard to decide. Not once did we feel rushed or swayed in any direction. The prices are on point! As a mother, my first thought was cleanliness. You could eat off the floor here. The place was so clean and modern that I immediately felt like it was the right choice! I loved this place! I felt very comfortable here; the room I got pierced in was extremely sanitary and the staff was great. I also felt that the jewelry was reasonably priced for the high quality. Joe was my piercer and he was super nice and respectful. He explained everything before he did it and gave me simple aftercare instructions. I came in to get my rook pierced but he took a look at my ear and told me that he didn't feel that he could safely place that piercing with my anatomy, but he immediately suggested an alternative piercing that would give me a similar look. I have gotten many piercings before and spent no more than $60. I was not aware that this store only has solid gold jewelry and nothing more affordable such as sterling silver or surgical grade steel. I paid $42 ahead of time since their policy requires a "pre-payment deposit" that pays for the piercing. Then, I had to pay $95 for a solid gold extremely tiny nose stud... I will say, the piercer was awesome and super professional. However, if you're looking for a piercing that doesn't require a non-refundable prepayment of $40 + $95 jewelry, than I would suggest going somewhere else! read more

(What you can take from that statement is don't go anywhere but here, if you want professional people who truly care about the art and science of piercing and you). I did a nose piercing elsewhere that went south, so Jeane was kind enough to take me in and review what happened and help me out. ALEXIS IS THE BEST PIERCER I have gone here for over 4 piercings. They come out perfect each time. They sterilize the jewelry right in front of you, walk you through every step, and make sure you and your well being come first. They follow the COVID guidelines perfectly. Hand sanitizer before you enter, wipe off the door after each entry, and of course proper mask wearing. The prices are higher up there, but it's good quality and real silver/gold. I just paid for 1 earring as I wanted a good earring since they said keep it in 3 months. Better than that was cleanliness & their procedures. they have you go into a room with a smaller version of dr's chair/bed, cleaned each time, and they wear gloves.
