Yesterday I had my safe moved by Tim, Wayne, and Jaysin from Kilroy Brothers Moving. I can't say…read moreenough good things about the experience overall. As I told them I moved the safe in myself, and I wasn't going to move it out myself as it was about 600 lbs and I barely got it in myself. The three of them made it look easy moving it out and did an excellent job in the process. They made absolutely certain that my safe was secure during the entire process, they wrapped the entire safe as well as the door to make sure the electronics didn't get damaged at all. And then at the end of the move they made certain that the safe opened and closed as it should properly. My parents used Kilroy Brother's moving a little over 30 years ago, and they did a great job then. I can say they continue to do a great job now. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move. I have no intentions to move out of my house that I just purchased anytime soon, but I can say when the time does come for me to move, I will definitely be contacting Kilroy to move not only my safe but also my entire house. They were very reasonable in the pricing, and I shopped around prior to selecting a company to move my safe. They were very responsive when I reached out to them as well. I personally spoke with the owner prior to the move to find out what information they needed and when I told him the weight of the safe he didn't hesitate to say that they could move it and didn't upcharge me like other companies did because it was "over weight." While I do agree it was certainly very heavy, I don't' think that it was too unreasonable to ask to have professional's move. As I said, I truly can't say enough good things about Tim, Wayne, and Jasyin and Kilroy Bothers as a whole. This move was from Providence to MA and they worked in the rain with being wet, slippery floors and quite a few stairs. Now, the cost quoted to us was exactly the same as charged. I have no idea why others state they were misled by charges, that was certainly not the case for me. I seriously had such low expectations going into this move from the reviews and was blown AWAY by these two movers. Also- all my furniture was thoroughly wrapped in blankets and/or wrap. They undid it all for me once inside the house, put everything together, and put it exactly where I wanted it. They worked on basement, ground level, and upstairs with coverage of two bedrooms, full dining room, living room and basement. So as you can imagine, a lot of furniture had to be moved. I was moving from my 3rd floor walk-up in Attleboro, MA to a duplex in North Kingstown, RI. Also, it was a blissful 90 something degrees outside with the temperature rising to about 100 in my stuffy oven of a loft. Despite the weather, the three men did a great job of swiftly moving all my things (and stress) down the VERY tight and winding stairwell. I was given an estimate when I first arranged the move about a month earlier, and it ended up costing less than expected since they worked so diligently. A full round of applause for Devin, Jerry, and John. Devin also called ahead of time to let me know they were getting the truck ready, so, I should be expecting their arrival. Which, yes, they arrived on time. When all moved in, I did noticed tiny little scuffs on a couple things, but they came off easily or were on items I planned to replace anyhow. The company was recommended to me by my Father and Brother who both used them for a move and were impressed. I have not used them for storage, so I have nothing to comment for. *Tip for movers - Yes, this is considered hard labor, but they are still people. Don't treat the movers like trash and expect an amazing job. I prepared for the move and packed the majority of my things. Also, with the heat as such, I had lots of fresh water and towels ready. The receptionist was professonial and responded quickly. She provided all, and additional information that I was looking for. This made the process of moving less stressful for me. The owner made the call to confirm and he is very professional and kind. He relayed all information provided from his receptionist. This crew does not miss a beat. I like how the owner is present and involved with his customers. The crew showed up on time, with the correct sized truck, supplies, and energy to tackle the day. I was hoping to have enough space for all my items. They even had some extra space to spare as well! Their method of moving and packing was superb. The move went smoothly. The guys took their time to carefully move all furniture and boxes in a timely manner. They worked so hard despite the heat of July. I stopped off and got them some coconut water to hydrate. They deserved it for their hard work! I had a fairly sized treadmill as well. This was an additional charge but they made no complaints and went right to helping take it apart and move it carefully for me. They even helped re-assemble once we got to our destination. These guys did not stop, they work very hard and exemplify the perfect team and made the move much easier for me. I made sure to tip them well because it was much deserved for their hard work. They arrived late and didn't take accountability for arriving late. They were like, "who said we are late?". And they didn't even communicate their ETA to us. 2. No one answered the phone , the morning that our moving service was scheduled and no one reached out to us on when they would arrive. Their contract states that they would reach out with their ETA and no one did. 3. Some of our larger items were bent or broken. 4. Because they were late, they ended late in the day so we weren't able to inspect our items until the next day. 5. Customer service takes ZERO accountability. 6. We agreed with AOA on moving items out of our garage but the day of the moving, their team refused to move it and said that it would void their insurance to move these items (lawn mower, garden supplies, etc). Soooooo we had to hire another moving company the same day and get charged the extra rate for late night and expedited moving services which is expensive. We politely reached out to the company and shared our experience and nothing was done but the company giving us all of these new reasons and excuses for the service. Side note: upon arrival to our house, they were driving fast on our road and damaged our neighbors property.
