Moving is stressful but M&M took the stress out of the physical move yesterday! Thank you Lisa for the ease of scheduling and explaining to me how I would be charged but if less time was needed they would adjust. I spent 6 weeks packing (I'm 70 yo single female) and emptying drawers, even my boxes were organized according to size, and mirrors removed and packed from bureaus so that when Nelson and his crew came in to see what was being moved he organized them to start! They moved quickly but not carelessly along with laughter and by the time we were done unloading at my storage facility it was quite less than the estimated time! I certainly hope I can have this same group of guys for my final move to my home at the end of September!! Ignor any bad review they must not have been organized!! This is the fourth time we used M&M. I have also referred several friends who also used them. We all had the Greatest Experience. They were extremely professional, made sure every piece of furniture was wrapped and protected. They worked quickly and very professional in the way they communicated with us and every worker never stopped until they done. They are the Best! We moved from out of town and put all of our belongings in a storage unit ( we were the o ly ones with a key) when we hired them I had plenty of valuable antiques and jewelry. When they came to the house they packed things so high in the rooms I couldn't even walk in the room. So in order for them to leave I had to sign paperwork. When I finally starting getting threw my things my antique furniture was gouged and broken and all of my jewelry 14K jewelry was missing. I called the comfort and they told me I signed the paperwork and I only has 72 hours to report anything. We moved from a 2000 square foot home. It takes ti.e to go through everything. Just stay away! The movers themselves were great but I was charged over $100 more of what I was told on the phone!! She said oh cuz you had 5 movers instead of 4. I didn't ask for 4! She originally told me 4 so now I got charged over $100 because SHE added a mover!?!? They were also over a half hr late! read more

They called and cancelled my reservation 72 hours before my scheduled move. Told me they were overbooked and had staff on vacation. Said there was nothing they could do and suggested we seek another company. I suggest you do the same. read more

M and M came highly recommended by friends and family. However, my experience was less than ideal. Movers constantly complained about how much they had to move (despite already providing an itemized list to be moved ahead of time). Constantly complaining within ear shot of us-- the customers about how heavy the items were and just in general about the job. Didn't even move a good portion of the boxes I had packed and I had to go back and do it myself. Complaining to each other that if they had known this job was going to be like this that they never would have joined the company. Always on their cell phones and my time ran over by 30 minutes as a result and they charged me an extra $200 over my initially quoted price. Lastly, showing up smelling horribly of marijuana. The most unprofessional people I have ever encountered in a business. I left an email with the company about my dissatisfaction and have yet to receive a call or email addressing my dissatisfaction. M and M did 2 moves for me. During the first move, the team was professional and personable. There was an issue with some damage to my washing machine that has not yet been corrected, almost 2 months later... The second move was 1 month later. A different crew was assigned after my request for the same crew. This crew was not professional nor were they personable. They damaged 2 walls, 2 pieces of furniture, and ripped out a shrub during their exit. Management has failed to return my repeated calls to rectify the situation. The customer service is unacceptable. I do not recommend M and M. read more

I you are in need of a moving company DO NOT USE M&M MOVERS from Fall River, Ma...they are a terrible company I had them move some furniture from my 97 year young mom's home into her new senior living home a few miles away...three the movers arrived they did a nice job carefully moving the items until they moved the sofa and damaged the material on the armrest the movers apologized and said the company would take care of the damage and would repair or replace it...It being an antique was not repairable so a replace would be the other alternative the mover called his boss and said no problem find a replacement they will pay for the replacement pick it up the deliver it and take the old sofa way i agreed to that and felt ok with it. I had a my niece look for a sofa on sale called M&M several times left massages finally getting to talk to someone told her we found a sofa on sale she said she would tell her boss and they would be in touch...Call after Call for weeks on end no answer left several messages finally I said if you don't return my call or contact me I'll have to go ahead a possibly file a claim. I finally contacted the boss and said this has been going on for two months and I wanted to settle this he said it was an old sofa and only offered $200-$300 I said no way its a nice sofa with no issues your workers tore the material and it couldn't be matched you offered to replace it he said sorry and don't contact him again because i was harassing him. I live in Los Angeles California my Mom lives in Plymouth Ma, and it was to much to go back and forth for a small claims court so I decide to write a review...Sorry if a rambled on but wanted to get the facts out. Mom just sold our family home and we reached out to M&M Movers for the job, not only were they fairly priced they did a great job. They called to say they were about 20 minutes out so we were ready when they arrived. It was a crew of 5 and they seemed to work really well with each other. I liked how they handled things, they took care and concern (which I have not always seen with other moving companies). On the delivery side they delivered and staged everything as needed (I love how they were careful and placed things a few inches from the wall, I understand this was to avoid liability of them causing damage for hitting the walls). Overall I would highly recommend them. (the only thing I would mention that was a bit of a shock was when we arranged the move we had a few pieces that were being dropped off at my sisters house, it was on the same road and along the way, it took 15 minutes and they charged $165 more, when we were expecting to just have it added to the time since we were paying hourly. This should have been explained up front because we had to tip less since we were not expecting that kind of overcharge) read more

Team was coming up the street to park and make a delivery across the street from me, he has about 30 yards in front of my house to park but cut it to short and hit my parked car. Accidents happen i get it, called the Company that Saturday spoke to a Mr who says okay call me tomorrow(Sunday) (they are closed on Sundays),he says ( i wont forget about you, i wont run from you), never got a call back, kept having to call the Company. Spoke to a female saying Mr Mello will call me back when he gets in at 2:30 and never received a call, that was Monday, i finally called on Friday and the young lady says the insurance company has been notified, ya think the boss would have been calling me to update me. I have been in the same business for 30 + years, never would i just brush someone off like that. Will not recommend this Company at all. read more

Last time I used M&M movers I found them to be reliable, friendly, honest and accommodating. They were moving my mother's furniture and happened to find money between a mattress and box spring (over $10K in savings bonds). They promptly gave these bonds to my sister and I. These movers have no idea how much that was appreciated and because of their actions I ALWAYS reccomend this business. read more

moving day! a stressful already, spoke to a girl named lisa, about 3 weeks prior to set everything up! she asked me several times of details of the move... 2 bedroom what was in the house, 1st floor to 1st floor. no fridge. no stove. i was given 3 quotes $122 an hr + $110 travel, & four men..with a 2 hr min. so cheapest is 354.00... 2 hr, 30 min was $365.00.. 3 hrs at $425.00.. ok..! then give her my debit card to pay the $50 deposit.. guys show up 90 min late but ok, whatever, lets do this.. the workers busted ass, kind professional, 10 min ride to the new spot... when all is said and done with a time of 2 hrs 15 min.. the guy comes in to tell me i owe $465.00... what hows that possible? dude calls his boss, now i'm on the phone with the boss trying to understand why i'm getting burned.. bla bla bla says we had more stuff then they thought (b.s.) went over it with lisa 3x.... he says well when you bring your car to the mechanic they don't know how much till the end... also b.s. go back and forth on the phone with the boss a very rude man..!!! in the end i paid $450.00.. once i hand over the $, rude man wants to talk to me again... ok... then he tells me well , i know your from new bedford so you must be stupid!! its sad he burns people then calls them stupid. he only hurt his hard workers because now i cant tip them.. i would give 0 stars if i could.. after calling around he was the best deal for the $.... only because they lie about pricing.... don't be fooled like i was read more
