Ransacked boxes, got into clothes, shit everywhere. Couch was blanket wrapped and plastic wrapped, of course they clawed through and p***ed and s**t all over it. Ruined clothes. Couldn't walk in there without masks, had to bleach clean every box, chewed the wood of the book shelves! Left traps and found dead, poisoned rats having diarrhea or throwing up all over. Felt sick every time I went in. Also, the bathroom there is like a study in VO2s don't use it if you are affected by scent - it's like they dumped a gallon of toxic Fabuloso in it. Guy at desk would also speak to me like I'm an idiot who wasn't paying $350/mo to be there - funny how he was polite to my husband. It took awhile but the complaints garnered a refund of two months - won't even cover the dry cleaning bill but it helps. I think storage centers in general are the dregs! I hope to never have to use one again.

Very friendly, helpful and informative. If I call and don't get an answer. I get a return call shortly after. I've noticed the area near my storage space has rodent traps. So I'm glad there is an exterminator service being provided. The only downside for me are the hours allowed to enter the storage areas. I personally feel 9am - 5pm doesn't allow me enough time. Before or after work if i need to enter my storage space.

We rented a 10x20ft unit and moved in many of our belongings, trusting that the space would be dry and secure. In February, we discovered clear signs of water intrusion. The floor was scattered with leaves, debris, and mineral stains from runoff. Large chunks of dirt and grime had washed in, and several storage boxes were visibly affected. Two expensive chairs were permanently stained from rainwater dripping down from pressure treated beams above. This caused about $400 in damage. The onsite manager was nowhere to be found, which was typical. Repeated calls went unanswered. With more rain expected, we had to act quickly and move everything to another facility. When I finally reached the manager on March 3, I explained the situation. Their only response was, "Talk to your insurance." No apology. No refund for February, even though the unit was not usable as promised. That same day, I received an email confirming that my balance was zero. Four hours later, they charged my credit card another $261 for March, even though I had already moved out. I disputed both charges with my credit card company: one for the month when the unit leaked, and another for the month I never used. I won both disputes. Now, Public Storage has sent the matter to collections, trying to strong-arm me into paying for a service they failed to deliver. They are threatening to damage my credit over a situation that was their fault from the start. Even before the water intrusion, the unit had a strong, foul odor. At one point, we noticed what appeared to be rodent droppings. Between the smell and the mess, the unit clearly was not being maintained properly. Bonus warning: Do not be fooled by the hundreds of glowing Google reviews. When we posted this same honest review with photos on Google Maps, it was visible for a few minutes, then disappeared. It looks like Public Storage or its supporters actively flag critical reviews to make them vanish. If their rating seems too good to be true, it probably is. There are plenty of storage companies that care about their customers and actually maintain their facilities. This is not one of them. Avoid Public Storage.
