Raised rent twice within 6 months. Financially raping their customers. This is a basic facility and was already over charging for rent.

Public Storage calls their units "an extension of your home." That might be true if your home…read moreleaks, damages your furniture, and sends debt collectors after you. We rented a 10x20ft unit and moved in many of our belongings, trusting that the space would be dry and secure. In February, we discovered clear signs of water intrusion. The floor was scattered with leaves, debris, and mineral stains from runoff. Large chunks of dirt and grime had washed in, and several storage boxes were visibly affected. Two expensive chairs were permanently stained from rainwater dripping down from pressure treated beams above. This caused about $400 in damage. The onsite manager was nowhere to be found, which was typical. Repeated calls went unanswered. With more rain expected, we had to act quickly and move everything to another facility. When I finally reached the manager on March 3, I explained the situation. Their only response was, "Talk to your insurance." No apology. No refund for February, even though the unit was not usable as promised. That same day, I received an email confirming that my balance was zero. Four hours later, they charged my credit card another $261 for March, even though I had already moved out. I disputed both charges with my credit card company: one for the month when the unit leaked, and another for the month I never used. I won both disputes. Now, Public Storage has sent the matter to collections, trying to strong-arm me into paying for a service they failed to deliver. They are threatening to damage my credit over a situation that was their fault from the start. Even before the water intrusion, the unit had a strong, foul odor. At one point, we noticed what appeared to be rodent droppings. Between the smell and the mess, the unit clearly was not being maintained properly. Bonus warning: Do not be fooled by the hundreds of glowing Google reviews. When we posted this same honest review with photos on Google Maps, it was visible for a few minutes, then disappeared. It looks like Public Storage or its supporters actively flag critical reviews to make them vanish. If their rating seems too good to be true, it probably is. There are plenty of storage companies that care about their customers and actually maintain their facilities. This is not one of them. Avoid Public Storage.

While the pricing did increase after the franchise took over, that seems to be expected with rising costs across the board. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with a variety of drive-up units available in different sizes. They also offer storage for vehicles and RVs, which adds to the convenience. Access is controlled through a gated entry with personalized codes, which provides an added sense of security. The property is well-lit and easy to navigate, which also makes it a convenient place to meet buyers if you're selling items locally. I've occasionally seen the manager on-site giving tours to new clients, and she is always friendly and willing to greet customers -- something that isn't always the case at other facilities. Overall, it's an easy-to-find location just off the main road, and the property remains clean and well cared for. I would recommend it for anyone looking for reliable storage.

Do NOT go here for your storage needs. I feel this location needs cameras everywhere and they need to make sure they work, since it's an outdoor storage space. Having items stolen is a sickening feeling. I took my remaining items out of that unit right away and ended my contract. Not worth staying after that.
