I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care. Will recommend them to anybody in my network who needs moving services.

They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. I hired them to move furniture from a storage unit in New Jersey to my apartment in Brooklyn. Before the movers started loading, I personally walked through the storage unit and pointed out everything that was supposed to be transported. Despite that, one of my largest items, a standing mirror, was left behind. What made the situation even worse was the conflicting information I received. When I asked where my mirror was, I was initially told it was in the building lobby. Later, I was told it had never been transported because it wasn't on the inventory. Those explanations contradict each other, and no one took responsibility. The move also resulted in damage to my carpet and trash can. Several of my moving boxes were crushed, and my sofa was wrapped so poorly that the protective wrap had already come apart during transport. Instead of addressing these concerns, the company responded with excuses and attempted to shift responsibility. Another thing that stood out was that payment was required before the move was fully completed. Looking back, I understand why. Once they had been paid, there seemed to be very little interest in resolving the problems. If something goes wrong during your move, don't expect accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and would never use them again.
