My initial monthly rent was $117.72. My current monthly rent, eighteen months later, is $143.62. That is an outrageous 22% increase in just over a year! Clearly, they understand that once you are in, there is a burden to you changing storage vendors. 2. They have a "company policy" against pro-rating rents that they do not disclose when you rent. Accordingly, if you remain one day over the end of the current month, they will not pro-rate your rent for the next month. 3. They advertise the units as "climate controlled." There is absolutely no air conditioning in the building. Accordingly, in the summer, the units bake like ovens. There is minimal heating in the winter. While the units do not freeze, the temperatures can get quite cold.

I have referred Indoor Self Storage to family and friends, all of which have been exceptionally happy, as I have with the company and all it has to offer.

Extreme false advertising on their website. The area is not secure. It is an open underground…read moreparking garage. Their website says and show pictures that spaces are fenced and secure. Once someone gains access to the garage, it is open season for vandalism and theft. I paid the registration fee and one month's rent online. After visiting this property to store two expensive motorcycles we left and requested our money back. After phone calls and multiple emails, no response at all. The money was less than $100 but it was the principle of the situation. False advertising and no customer service makes this an extreme reason to NOT at this place. Plus the neighborhood was not the greatest. I have contacted Cleveland's BBB and the Attorney Generals Office. Beware!

Once it came to August when I had to pick up my things, the owner (I believe his name is Joe) refused to open the unit unless I paid extra. The previous day my mother already paid $100 to complete these hidden fees. He said everything is paid for and we are good. The next day I went back because I forgot items there and he ADDED ANOTHER $100. Not only did he refuse to open it without money, he was VERY NASTY. Claiming that I was stealing from him and threatening to call my parents when I was right there to discuss the issue with him as an adult. Said many rude, disgusting things to me and my friend that was present. Never go here. I am never recommending any business to them and will report it to neighboring universities because the owner admitted to only coming in August to collect pay. He says he is never there unless it is when all college students start to pick up there items. Absolutely disgusting business practice.
