Since then there has been a steady deterioration in the service and yearly increases in the rent. It is now over $400/month, and there are no live personnel on site. (If you have a problem, you talk to a screen in the lobby.) Too bad, the facility is actually very good, but it is clearly a scam operation, since they know once you have your unit full, it is very time consuming and expensive to have it all moved to another facility.

Tracy at the front desk was horribly unhelpful, never even greeted me when I walked into the office. You're lucky if you happen to find someone in the office, I had to go back two days to finally get someone. I asked for her supervisor, she gave me the name Reid Armstrong. At this point it's the principle of the matter, not the money. I'm sure you can find another more customer-oriented storage facility, this one is very lacking!

When I initially opened the unit on Saturday, the issued lock was present on the floor (photo 1). I received a full refund for that lock because I had an acceptable (per the lady at the front desk) Master lock to use. They had come by between Saturday and Sunday and even put a Public Storage sticker on my lock. Fast forward to today, my wife and I loaded up a big enough load we didn't get everything on two of the provided carts at the front of the indoor storage building. When we arrived at our unit we were locked out(photo 2). I attempted to call the front office, but it had shutdown an hour and half before we arrived. I called the corporate customer service and the nice lady informed me that there was nothing that could be done tonight. She told me several times that there was no possible way to have someone come in a correct the mistake that had happened. Very poor customer service at this location. Things that need to improve before I would recommend anyone renting here. 1) If a lock is going to be placed on a unit that is in good standing. The customer needs to be notified via Email, text and phone call. All three should be required. 2) When there has clearly been a mistake from the storage units side, they need to have a process at corporate to have someone come back in and resolve the issue. Customer service shouldn't be an afterthought.

However, my experience was not so great. For starters, many items such as glass lamps, glass tables, and high dollar framed photo did not even get "wrapped" or "packed". They were just set into the truck and later set into my storage unit. The movers were reminded that items such as a living room rug and framed photo were to be packed, yet they were trying to rush out so quickly that they tried to leave so many items behind. The process was slowed down due to phone usage and standing around/waiting for direction. Not to mention it took THREE movers 6 hours to move a 'mostly packed' 1 bedroom apartment into the moving truck. I had everything ready, sorted out and most packed and it still took 6 hours. Which resulted in having to unload the items the next day. I can only hope that my items were properly taken care of when I wasn't looking because what I did see was not very pleasing. My things definitely took a little beating. No matter if your furniture is high dollar or not, movers should handle YOUR furniture/items with the same care. My bill came to over $2600 but after speaking with the manager, even he realized that took entirely too long for 3 movers and took 2 hours off my bill which brought it to $2100. It was still high for the quality of the move that I received especially it being a mostly packed one bedroom apartment, but sometimes you have to take a loss. Like I said, I do think the company is probably great. I just didn't luck out with the best experience.

For that type price, they didn't even move stuff into appropriate rooms in the new apartment, they just left everything in the living room, plus they stole a lot stuff. I asked them to put them in a storage unit overnight and they declined. They absolutely took an advantage of me. THEY STOLE A LOT OF MATERIALS! Had to buy new plates and everything, to this day I still can't afford to replicate what I used to have. [I'm not a mover and I have no interest in making a bad review for competition purpose.]
