Stephen went above and beyond to ensure I had all the resources/manpower I needed for my job. They were all very flexible and courteous. He has done a terrific job training his crews. I needed to move 3 huge storage units (10x 20) within a few days (very time sensitive) that were cluttered/a disaster with extremely heavy and fragile items or boxes. Stephen was also able to locate for me a company (Tidewater Property Preservation and Junk Removal) to take away at the last minute a 2,000 pound safe! The first crew of Austin and Kamren quickly tried to organize the pack/move for efficiency! These young men worked nonstop and effortlessly and even made suggestions to help facilitate the process. I can't thank them enough for their insights!! Our second day, I added Dijon, Spencer, Cam and Bryan. Again, this crew along with Kamren also worked tirelessly (not even stopping for rest/food) from 8:30-6pm. They treated my boxes/items with care as if my things were their own possessions! Bryan was even able to find people to come and get things that weren't able to be sold. This helped us so much! I super valued and really respected Dijon and Spencer's expertise about the timing of my UHaul and where to donate or sell certain items! Thank you both for helping make that last day go smoothly and finish on time! Sava joined us on the third day working just as diligently. This crew even traveled with us to the pod warehouse for unloading/repacking of our items in extremely hot conditions. For my last two days. I requested/asked for these same crews! They had been so amazing the other days for us. :) I appreciated all their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication these men gave to their job and my family over the course of 4 days! My gratitude to making a difficult move/pack process much easier given tight time constraints. The best recommendation I could give them is that I wanted to fly these crews to CA to help me unload my pod! Call Stephen at UniMovers and let his crews Kamren, Austin, Dijon, Spencer, Cam, Bryan and Sava handle your next move/pack/loading/unloading. You won't be disappointed and will definitely get your money's worth!! - Lisa Hoehle, Johnathan/Kayleigh Martin

Then I stalked liquor stores for free boxes but their boxes were too small. . . my friend recommended Ecopax when I was dreading moving again. It was the best! They literally brought these awesome clean and sturdy bins straight to my door. No assembly, packing tape, waste etc. Then picked them up when I was done my move. . . Life changing. I know that sounds extreme but if you have dealt with a move and know how stressful and annoying it can be trust me you want to use Ecopax. Whether you are moving locally, doing home renovations, or shuffling office stuff around between floors/locations EcoPax saves SO much time. These large reusable bins are a great alternative to traditional cardboard boxes. Cardboard boxes have to be put together and broken down again--SUCH a pain and not great for the environment. These reusable bins are very sturdy and can stack 5 high on a dolly. The dolly has wheels and is quite easy for even a small person to maneuver. Also bins stack like legos on top of each other--so unlike a tower of cardboard boxes they would be difficult to knock over. The online renting process was quite smooth. You order a bin bundle of your choice, schedule a date, and pay for them online. It was very easy. EcoPax arrives at your door on the day you've chosen and drops off the bins for your use. The bins are then picked up once you are finished with them at a local location you also designate. The delivery and pick-up is included in the weekly rate--so no surprise fees. This is a fairly new company run by a veteran and they deserve a chance to impress you!

My son was on a 4th floor apartment the furthest you could be from any door with a move to another apartment complex. I closed my apple watch steps and workout ring more than TWICE today if that gives you any idea... Jordan, Pierce and Kyle have to be the hardest working AND the darn nicest movers in the entire universe. Not one thing was broken, not one wall or piece of furniture was scratched. And they were so kind and cheerful- like how in the tarnation could anyone be so polite and happy while lifting heavy yhings in sweltering Columbia heat all freaking day?? And yet- they absolutely were. We ended up hiring these guys after our original move in date was botched and it was honestly a blessing in disguise. If you need anything moved- call them. We spent the evening cleaning and unpacking and I wished I could have kept those boys with us. They are THAT good! I owe the friend who recommended them a drink, or maybe a kidney or something if they ever need one because that was hands down the best recommendation I have ever been given! #bestmoversever #gamecockmovers #junioryearloading

They lost all the pieces to my 3 dresser mirrors, they had them mixed up with the wrong dressers and time was ticking. They left some furniture peices at the loading address so they couldn't install 1 set. They were nice young men but they did not have the strength to take some of my furniture upstairs. They really struggled. When reinstalling some of the furniture pieces, they were confused on how to put them back together. I called the manager and told him my concerns that these guys may need one other person. But he said he would have to charge me, instead of just satisfying the customer. It got very frustrating for me as a customer. I will never hire these guys again!

When they couldn't figure out how to use the ramp that came with the trailer it should have been a red flag... they decided to load the trailer without the ramp, just lifting everything up. Odd, but not a big deal for me. We bought/provided over 60 moving blankets and a dozen paper pads for our furniture to be wrapped up safely. Part of the labor we hired them for was to wrap the furniture with these pads. They wrapped a couple of pieces but didn't really tape the blankets around.. just a couple of loops of shrink wrap and they called it done. We started seeing them move furniture out of the house unwrapped and when we questioned them, we were told they were wrapping the furniture in the trailer, that they had taken a bunch of the blankets out already. We were basically told to relax, they had it under control. We didn't rush the guys.. they were getting paid by the hour so there was no reason to rush, but they were done fairly quickly. But not after almost punching a hole in our drywall when they lost control of a dresser coming down the stairs. I had to run to Lowe's to pick up stuff to patch the multiple large dents (not dings, dents!) in the drywall and they didn't offer to cover that. Not a huge deal... it was like $10 in stuff from Lowe's. Fast forward a week later and the trailer is down in Florida ready to be unloaded. I opened the door and found a couple of broken ceramic pots laying up against the door. Ok, not the end of the world... but they weren't wrapped at all. Then I saw stacks of blankets... many of them still in the plastic wrap that they came in (new, unused). Then I noticed we had furniture that just had a blanket draped over it but not even secured to it. There were grease marks on furniture where they were resting up against garage tools -- with no blankets around the furniture at all! My $3000 pottery barn sectional couch was even being used as a prop to hold up a bicycle... by the pedal (see picture!) To this day I have no idea how the bike pedal did not puncture the fabric of the couch... but it only dented it. A miracle. There was other minor damage to furniture... dining room table legs unwrapped banging up against each other. Really.. .nothing between them. Why wouldn't they use the blankets we had available for them to use?? Another questionable choice was leaning a concrete bench end up against my leather sofa with nothing in between (see picture!). Even the sofa cushions were taken and wedged between the wall of the trailer and other furniture.. leaving grease and other dirt on the couch pillows and cushions. Oh and they broke a leg off of a dresser... and i had a sign taped to the front saying it had a weak leg. Didn't matter, apparently. Long story short - everything that we packed and boxed up made the trip just fine. But the things they were paid to wrap up and load were haphazardly put in the truck, unwrapped with blankets even though we had 2 dozen left over unused! They were just straight up lazy. You can use these guys to move you into a new place or unload some heavy equipment.... but if you care about your furniture and goods then I wouldn't recommend them at all. I stewed about this for a while trying to decide if it was better to just keep silent and leave no review or to speak out and warn others.
