My son was on a 4th floor apartment the furthest you could be from any door with a move to another apartment complex. I closed my apple watch steps and workout ring more than TWICE today if that gives you any idea... Jordan, Pierce and Kyle have to be the hardest working AND the darn nicest movers in the entire universe. Not one thing was broken, not one wall or piece of furniture was scratched. And they were so kind and cheerful- like how in the tarnation could anyone be so polite and happy while lifting heavy yhings in sweltering Columbia heat all freaking day?? And yet- they absolutely were. We ended up hiring these guys after our original move in date was botched and it was honestly a blessing in disguise. If you need anything moved- call them. We spent the evening cleaning and unpacking and I wished I could have kept those boys with us. They are THAT good! They lost all the pieces to my 3 dresser mirrors, they had them mixed up with the wrong dressers and time was ticking. They left some furniture peices at the loading address so they couldn't install 1 set. They were nice young men but they did not have the strength to take some of my furniture upstairs.They really struggled. When reinstalling some of the furniture pieces, they were confused on how to put them back together. I called the manager and told him my concerns that these guys may need one other person. But he said he would have to charge me, instead of just satisfying the customer. It got very frustrating for me as a customer. I will never hire these guys again!

I sent them the pictures of the damaged wall several times, via email, and I was told that they never got them so they didn't reimburse me the $900 from the damage their workers did to my wall. The workers were sooooo unprofessional and didn't even know how to properly pack my unit! They have my living room and dining room furniture in the front of the storage and my clothes and stuff in the back!! It's a nightmare!! I would love to post pictures so you can see it for yourself! U-Pack was the best price option for our move. We hired separate help for loading. Although U-Pack…read moredid send us a referral # for that labor service they don't supply, we went with a different company. For the U-Pack container delivery, all went as planned. The container was dropped off exactly when they said. The driver explained some requirements and who to call for questions. The pick up after loading went exactly as expected. The driver confirmed the load footage, I signed, he locked the container and was gone all within 20-30 minutes. The container arrived at the receiving station within the 7-10 day delivery period, and the station called me to schedule the delivery. We had 3 days to unload, and they picked up the container, just as expected. They have that connect and roll process down pat! So quick. The only suggestion for improvement I have would be updated equipment in the container. We struggled with the end bar braces both in set up and tear down. One worked, one had trouble and took a lot of man-handling. Also, the loading ramp is heavy and not very wide. It would be nice if these had fold up hydraulic lifts instead of the ramps. Or a wider, lighter ramp. Still, all went well and the communication was great. I would use again if needed. Thank you U-Pack!

The move was easier than I'd expected and there were no hidden fees, overall this was a very pleasant experience. One suggestion - give a better window of time for the pickup and drop off. I was generous in giving this 2 stars. I know my experience should not be a reflection of the…read moreentire company because I read many great reviews before feeling confident in choosing them. However, my experience was not so great. For starters, many items such as glass lamps, glass tables, and high dollar framed photo did not even get "wrapped" or "packed". They were just set into the truck and later set into my storage unit. The movers were reminded that items such as a living room rug and framed photo were to be packed, yet they were trying to rush out so quickly that they tried to leave so many items behind. The process was slowed down due to phone usage and standing around/waiting for direction. Not to mention it took THREE movers 6 hours to move a 'mostly packed' 1 bedroom apartment into the moving truck. I had everything ready, sorted out and most packed and it still took 6 hours. Which resulted in having to unload the items the next day. I can only hope that my items were properly taken care of when I wasn't looking because what I did see was not very pleasing. My things definitely took a little beating. No matter if your furniture is high dollar or not, movers should handle YOUR furniture/items with the same care. My bill came to over $2600 but after speaking with the manager, even he realized that took entirely too long for 3 movers and took 2 hours off my bill which brought it to $2100. It was still high for the quality of the move that I received especially it being a mostly packed one bedroom apartment, but sometimes you have to take a loss. Like I said, I do think the company is probably great. I just didn't luck out with the best experience.

For that type price, they didn't even move stuff into appropriate rooms in the new apartment, they just left everything in the living room, plus they stole a lot stuff. I asked them to put them in a storage unit overnight and they declined. They absolutely took an advantage of me. THEY STOLE A LOT OF MATERIALS! Had to buy new plates and everything, to this day I still can't afford to replicate what I used to have. [I'm not a mover and I have no interest in making a bad review for competition purpose.]
