STEER CLEAR!!!!!!! THIS IS A MOLD INFESTED DUMP. We moved from a large home in May. Within 2 months of moving into this facility, 3 units of our belongings were covered in mold.This is an unsupervised facility with terrible customer service. We have made numerous phone calls and NO ONE will take any responsibility. We have found many other tenants in this building with the same issue. This is absolutely NOT a climate controlled facility. These people should be ashamed of themselves! We plan to hold them accountable. To add insult to injury, in the midst of this having been reported, and no return phone calls, they decided to raise our rent. Just unbelievable.

MOLD MOLD MOLD MOLD !!!!!! MOLD OUTBREAK AT THIS FACILITY! Humidity levels up to 80%, broken AC units, doors to facility constantly broken and left open. Not secure with multiple break ins. There is no one working on site so you are left to deal with talking to someone on video call in the "office" who can barely assist or know what is going on. We are stuck spending well over 10k to clean and move all of our belongings with no assistance from the facility. This all occurred due to their negligence. No help from insurance. They advertise climate control and 24/7 security, neither of these are true. Many customers at facility having the same issue. I WOULD NEVER STORE MY THINGS HERE AGAIN. STAY AWAY.

When my grandmother passed away, we needed a place to temporarily store some household items nearby. We wanted a climate-controlled storage option and really sort of fell into this location on James Island. I'm so happy we did. With great monthly rates and no long-term contracts, I ended up taking out another small unit within two months for some of my own stuff. This location has three floors accessed at your leisure through code-enabled doors. There are specific hours however and my understanding is that they are strictly enforced. Each patron gets their own unique code for trackability and heightened security. The facility has an on-site office (not 24/7) and limited parking along the side and in the very back. All of the units are internal, and there is an elevator with multiple large rolling carts available at the entrance for your use. Lights are motion-sensored in the hallways so you don't have to worry about switches. The property is always clean and the parking lot is pretty well lit at night. Do be careful of the gradual slope of the pavement however, because the carts tend to roll if you're not paying attention while loading/unloading. During these pandemic times, the office is only allowing one person in at a time, and you can complete just about everything on-line. Masks are required on premises at all times. I rarely see other customers even though the units seem to be completely rented out. This arrangement has definitely met all of my needs so far. If you're on the fence about which one of the storage options you need, consider this GoStoreIt property and you should be very satisfied with their product and service.

My monthly went from $23 to $92 in 8 months for a small storage unit. Bait and switch - do not rent here. Also, no one is on site.

DO not rent from them! very poor customer service! I rented for only one month, starting on March…read more1st, went to move out and tried to return my unused lock on March 27th, which their website says needs to be done within a month, they would not take it back, saying I rented the unit in February so had paid for the lock already eventhough I only received it on the 1st. Tracy at the front desk was horribly unhelpful, never even greeted me when I walked into the office. You're lucky if you happen to find someone in the office, I had to go back two days to finally get someone. I asked for her supervisor, she gave me the name Reid Armstrong. At this point it's the principle of the matter, not the money. I'm sure you can find another more customer-oriented storage facility, this one is very lacking!

My rental started on Saturday 14 May 2022. We dropped off one truck load on Saturday and another on…read moreSunday. We went to drop of the biggest load yet today, 17 May 2022 and we found a lockout lock installed. Yes, our bill for the month is already paid. When I initially opened the unit on Saturday, the issued lock was present on the floor (photo 1). I received a full refund for that lock because I had an acceptable (per the lady at the front desk) Master lock to use. They had come by between Saturday and Sunday and even put a Public Storage sticker on my lock. Fast forward to today, my wife and I loaded up a big enough load we didn't get everything on two of the provided carts at the front of the indoor storage building. When we arrived at our unit we were locked out(photo 2). I attempted to call the front office, but it had shutdown an hour and half before we arrived. I called the corporate customer service and the nice lady informed me that there was nothing that could be done tonight. She told me several times that there was no possible way to have someone come in a correct the mistake that had happened. Very poor customer service at this location. Things that need to improve before I would recommend anyone renting here. 1) If a lock is going to be placed on a unit that is in good standing. The customer needs to be notified via Email, text and phone call. All three should be required. 2) When there has clearly been a mistake from the storage units side, they need to have a process at corporate to have someone come back in and resolve the issue. Customer service shouldn't be an afterthought.
