CAUTION!!! DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE PLACE AT THIS TIME! Climate control unit rodent issue! I have never been more disgusted with my experience this time. We hired movers to move our 5 bedrooms storage area into our new home. We have a climate control unit. The movers came to use concerned reporting rodent feces and urination all over our furniture and boxes. I went to report and immediately was put of to filing an insurance claim which, thank God I had insurance but I am still awaiting to hear from them. There was a strong odor when entering the climate control unit there is a strong odor as well. Bugs were in our deep freezer and what appears to be other things too. I'm am in disbelief that I have to experience something like this. I have had storage here before and did not have this issue. I can't believe all my items are ruined moving into my new home and I am basically having to replace everything and out thousands of dollars. I think what gets me the most is the protocol for something like this, it's a joke. The insurance company is an issue, there's no way to get in touch with a claims adjusted and every call attempt goes to voicemail immediately on the first ring. Even then supervisor. I am utterly disgusted with this entire situation/process. I should be reimbursed for my storage cost and items loss at total cost of everything. My family and I are having a horrible experience of enjoy our move into a new home for something that should've been prevented. OMG STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! Please I'm begging you as one human being looking out for another ! It's been a week and list goes on and on as to how this place is genuinely winning my worst business of the 2017 year award. First the employees are completely ruthless in telling blatant lies, even with obvious proof presented. I had used a SmartCube 2 years ago in Chicago and still had my lock, so I figured that experience didn't totally suck I guess I will go ahead and make my 35 dollar lock useful again. First, THE GATE IS BUSTED! The codes When they realized it's broken they just left it open for over a week, the cameras on the property apparently are for show, when you ask to see footage or someone to do so, they say its not connected. read more

For a storage facility it is ok. Their prices are good and competitive which is why I decided to move my stuff into their units. What I hated after I got the unit is that I realized I got charged for extra stuff to sign up when the original price I had on an email was a good bit cheaper. Another thing I hated was that it is near impossible to call up there and get ahold of someone. When I moved out last week I called for days straight trying to get ahold of someone and couldn't. Finally had to put in the notice with the 1-800 customer service people. The day I moved out I pulled up to the dock and opened the bay door, and one of the girls working there walked by and told me to shut it that I was letting the air out and it wasn't suppose to be open. Not sure how you'd move with a closed door, but she sat there and argued about it for a bit. Which I laughed telling her I had just got there and with a metal building their so called "AC" wasn't going to do much when every other door was wide open. Also they don't have bathrooms in the buildings or water fountains, only one I ever found was near the office and it is usually covered in junk and disgusting. After I moved out I didn't realize I had left some stuff in my storage unit. (it happens not the end of the world) So I asked what the cleaning fee was as I wouldn't be able to get out there anytime soon. They gave me the price and I told them to charge my card for it which is one file already as we do automatic payments. Well the female there copped a quick attitude and said ok it's going on your credit. I'm thinking "what the heck did she just say?" But she was dead serious and was telling me that they weren't going to close out my unit and that they were going to put it on my credit and I'd have to deal with it. What ignorant crap is that?? Let alone they don't have my Social Security number to begin with so it makes absolutely no damn sense. Do not threaten someone with some collections nonsense when you know nothing about it. I mean if you're going to stay for just a little while and have stuff here okay go for it, but just be prepared for the run around on everything else. I took the word of a manager who promised to (1) have the door fixed on Unit 1030 so that it would stay up instead of having to be held open by hand, and (2) to put a string on the light in Unit 1030 so the light could be turned on and off. When my mom went over to pay for the unit, neither problem was fixed. The other manager promised to take care of the problems before my long-distance mover arrived with my goods - nearly three weeks after the transaction. When the hauler arrived, nothing had been fixed. But, worst of all, the manager who originally showed me the unit claimed she knew nothing about the problem. I reminded her she was with me when I saw the unit - she showed it to me - but she insisted she knew nothing; didn't remember, etc. Then, she claimed that CubeSmart won't fix one door; they wait until several doors need to be fixed. Preposterous! I trusted her; she lied to my face - three times - first, when she promised to fix the door and the light; second, when she claimed to know nothing about the problems; and third, when she denied her promise. And I imagine she also lied when she said CubeSmart won't fix a broken door until there are some number of broken doors to be fixed. I reported the experience to CubeSmart Customer Service. Hopefully, the two reps I spoke with did as they promised and passed on my complaint to the district manager. And hopefully, the district manager acted to ensure that storage units are functional and managers don't misrepresent them. I rented three units from a competitor - same day. All clean. My husband and I have had several large storage units at this location for many years. We've had a wonderful experience dealing with the CubeSmart managers and have found this facility to be clean and reasonably priced. The present manager, Troy, is very friendly and helpful. This was not an good experience at all. They will nickel and dime you and waste your time. Please ensure that you get all the info before you rent. I reserve my unit online and on that deadline of needing the unit I had to go with it. I would have went with another storage company if I had time. First they don't tell you until you there that is an admin fee for the storage of $22 dollars and $10 dollars then they tell you that you have to purchase there insurance for an additional $12 dollars. I had there truck for 4 hours and they held me up for 30 min on the first visit because they left there lock on my unit. They additional 30 min because the lights was not working in my unit. But they wanted to charge me additional $20 for going over on the 4 hours on the truck. But was instructed to Take my time that no one else need the truck. But again I was held up with there process. They the manager she lacks any knowledge of her units and had to call several times in her cell phone because she had no sheet on the cost or avaliable units. She claim that the truck was full but how do you burn 1/4 tank going 41 miles and I even put $10 back in the tank so they hit me with an $25 re fuel charge and she claim the tank was full. Even the general manager agreed but of course she didn't wanted look bad in front of her boss and look incompetent in doing her job which she already prove that several times. Anyway be careful who you do business with and get all the hidden fees before you rent there. You can rent an truck and cheaper climate control unit without all the nickel and dime fees.
