As I'm sure many other storage places do, once you have committed to use their space and you have your items in storage, they raise your rent. However, the real reason I'm giving this facility one star is the poor service. On Saturday I rented a small truck and went to Public Storage to remove my items, a large couch and two living room chairs. I arrive to see a sign on the elevator that says, "Elevator not working. Sorry!" Gosh, the "Sorry!" really doesn't help a lot, given that there was no dolly on the second floor and no ability to move heavy items from the second to the first floor other than the stairs. The person in the office was exceedingly unhelpful. On Monday I wanted to ensure the facility knew that I had moved out and wanted the unit cancelled. There's no human being at either the 314 number to the Barrett Station Road facility or the Public Storage 800 number (both numbers are actually the same, they give you the same menu). Of course, after telling you to go to the app or the web site, you get the option, not to speak with a human being, but to leave a message in case someone deigns to call you back. The office hours are listed on the app as 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. I called at 2:47 pm and left a message with my phone number. I wanted to make certain they received the message, so I called again at 4:29 and left another message. It's now 5:26 pm, close to three hours after I left a message, and I've heard nothing from Public Storage. I've been wracking my brain, but it's difficult to see how their customer service could be any worse.

If you're looking for a safe, convenient, and affordable storage unit look no further…read more I was in need of storing a few items and only needed a small unit for my items. I arrived at EZ storage and Gregory (manager) was able to provide me a unit. These units are all indoors and climate controlled. You need a special code to get through the gate/garage and your unit is inside. It's a drive-thru unit and so you drive your car in and then unload and take the elevator up. They provide carts for easy transport. Before I committed to the unit, Gregory brought me through the building and showed me the size of the unit and talked to me about the cost per month. Right now they are running a special so I was able to get 3 months for half price. I assume they have specials often so be sure you check. Gregory told me he lives on site with his dog so if there is ever anything going on he'll know about it. There are also multiple cameras around the property and inside the building. I'm really glad this storage facility exists. It's exactly what I was looking for!

My initial call with questions reinforced that they were professional, friendly and took pride in their place. Move-in was easy and having access to their moving truck ( at a reasonable price!), made it all work - and we had coordinated everything from NY just a short time prior to arrival. They have lots of carts to use, easy drive in access to drop off stuff and cart it up to your unit, and clean, auto-lit corridors and storage units. We kept the unit over 2 years and there were a few times we were late on payments and they didn't treat you like a deadbeat - they just reminded you and we paid right away. I cannot think of one negative thing, and I am a pretty harsh grader - I don't just give away 5 stars to everyone.

Do not use this company!…read more I trusted them to take care of our belongs as they seemed to be a reputable company. They seemed easy to work with and after just having a baby we wanted movers that were hassle free and trustworthy. (They broke a dresser and a rocker from the nursery) They are fine so long as your expectation is that you just want your items delivered. If you expect them to be in the same condition as they left your house, that's where they fall short. They broke several items and when you file your claim, they initially send you a rather intense email about how it's better to settle for $500 than continue with the process. We chose to continue as our items were worth significantly more than $500. We have now received an offer of about 30-50 cents on the dollar. And 1 item they will not reimburse for because I can't prove that the mid-century modern record counsel was working before they smashed it. Even though I have a photo of the top open right before the move. Long story short- if you do use this company, take photos and videos of all of your belongings to insure that you aren't left with nothing at the end. Or faced with spending even more money to replace the things they broke. They are very expensive and I thought I was hiring a company that stood behind their work. I apparently did not. I am still trying to figure all this out, but it seems to me that if you hire movers and buy insurance you should not be out even more money to replace your furniture that they broke.
