They helped us purge unnecessary (and often duplicate) items, came up with clever organizing solutions for our limited space, and even helped with decorating that made the home feel like us. It was a huge weight lifted off our shoulders. Fast forward a year and a half: my wife was determined to have Perfectly Placed help us with our new, much bigger house--even before we packed a single box. I was more hesitant this time around, concerned about the added cost and assuming we wouldn't face the same challenges in a larger space. But my wife was so convinced of their value that she started driving for Uber to save up for it. After two unpacking days with Perfectly Placed, I can say it was absolutely the right call. We moved in over a weekend, and by Tuesday, our house was fully organized--something we could never have managed on our own, especially with my wife now 34 weeks pregnant. I hired Pink Zebra for my move from a townhouse to an apartment, all within the same apartment complex. Their quote was similar to others I received, but I chose Pink Zebra due to a recommendation from my leasing office. I chose to add higher insurance coverage for an additional $251. First, they showed up to my new address, not the old address. Not a good start. Once they started moving items the movers were extremely sloppy with how they handled my belongings in the move out of the townhouse. They were taking furniture down the stairs by turning it upside down and sliding it on a blanket. This included dressers and chest of drawers. Obviously, this caused damage to the items. Other furniture items were also damaged by scraping them against walls and door frames. All my belonging were taken out through my garage. When they finished moving the items out I found screws, broken wood pieces, and a metal bracket on the floor of the garage. I saved those in a bag. Once the movers started bringing my belongings into the new apartment, more damage occurred to the furniture and the hallway walls outside my apartment. Again, hardly any care was given to how things were handled. There were scuff marks on my leather furniture caused by them sliding the seating across the carpet in the hallway and through my door frame. This was not a surprise as the furniture was not wrapped in protective blankets. They were in such a hurry to leave they did not reattach the mirror to the dresser. They just left it leaning again the bedroom wall. Also, since they broke the frame of my sleigh bed, they could not assemble the bed. The bed frame, headboard, mattress, and box springs were left leaning against a wall. This left the room unusable for 3 weeks. I moved over 50 moving boxes myself a day before the movers arrived, for which I'm so grateful. I can only imaging how much more would have been damaged had I let them move those boxes. Among the damaged items were a leather couch, leather loveseat, leather recliner, wood coffee table, wood end table, wood dresser, wood chest of drawers, a second wood dresser, wood desk, and wood sleigh bed. Once the guys were finished, the lead mover apologized for the damages and said someone from management would be following up with me. I ended up having to follow up with them multiple times before a repair person came to fix the damages (3 weeks after my move). He was not able to fix the broken desk drawer, and the owners offered me $30 since a replacement drawer could not be found. They explained they were only offering $30 since the desk was still usable. When I pushed back they upped the offer to $50. No way I can buy a replacement desk for $50! Eventually, they offered me $228, so I could replace the desk. Even though no FINAL bill was ever given to me, Pink Zebra charged my credit card the day of the move. The amount they charged me was the amount listed on the ORIGINAL estimate. HOWEVER, THIS DONE WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGES AND WITHOUT MY CONSENT. CLEARLY, an unethical business practice. All of my conversations after my move have been with the owners, Brian and Erin. In my many interactions with Erin, never has she apologized for the horrible service her company gave. Ultimately, her husband, Brian, did apologize and mentioned disciplinary action was taken to those involved in my move. For a company who lists on their website "remarkable customer experience", I received anything but. Please see the photos below showing some of my damaged items. Based on other Google reviews, some appear to have had a better experience with Pink Zebra. As I explained above in detail, my experience with them was horrible. Please be cautious when deciding on which moving company to hire! This situation is being turned over to the Missouri Attorney General's office for their follow up. I will update this review as more information becomes available.

They seemed easy to work with and after just having a baby we wanted movers that were hassle free and trustworthy. (They broke a dresser and a rocker from the nursery) They are fine so long as your expectation is that you just want your items delivered. If you expect them to be in the same condition as they left your house, that's where they fall short. They broke several items and when you file your claim, they initially send you a rather intense email about how it's better to settle for $500 than continue with the process. We chose to continue as our items were worth significantly more than $500. We have now received an offer of about 30-50 cents on the dollar. And 1 item they will not reimburse for because I can't prove that the mid-century modern record counsel was working before they smashed it. Even though I have a photo of the top open right before the move. Long story short- if you do use this company, take photos and videos of all of your belongings to insure that you aren't left with nothing at the end. Or faced with spending even more money to replace the things they broke. They are very expensive and I thought I was hiring a company that stood behind their work. I apparently did not. I am still trying to figure all this out, but it seems to me that if you hire movers and buy insurance you should not be out even more money to replace your furniture that they broke.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They spent about 2 hours doing…read moreliterally nothing, three hour overall to unload 4 pieces of furniture. They were told not to unwrap anything and they spend an obscene amount of time doing that too. They gouged my walls, put holes in them, charged me almost $300 more than the quote (with a TON of waisted time) told me they'd get someone out to get the holes patched. No one ever reached out. When I contacted them a little while later they told me that I said I'd patch the holes, I didn't and have four witnesses to say so. When I tried to argue it there was the old "well you're out of luck" response companies give when they don't want to deal with someone and said the issue is closed because they sent a check for $50 so that I can patch the holes they made. This company is dishonest, disreputable, and dismissive. They will damage your property, lie about it, and overcharge you at the last minute. If you use them, record everything and babysit the movers a if they're teenagers at a party. It's the only way you have a chance at not being screwed.

I went to Lowe's to buy glass for the surfaces of 4 pieces of furniture. The guy who came over to…read morecut the glass told me to not do it at Lowe's because their glass is not good for that. He said to go to County Glass and Mirror instead. Well, he said go to the place on Manchester and I'm guessing this is it. When I got to County Glass and Mirror, they were in the middle of a power outage. I still go service. The employee grabbed a pen and paper (gasp), did math on a calculator (or a phone's calculator... it wasn't totally 1995 in the store), and then they called me about a week later to tell me it was ready for pickup. They didn't try to upsell me. They didn't give me multiple options. This is the one kind of glass for this thing and I was happy with that. I was in and out in 5 minutes at most both times I visited The prices seem good. The glass is great! I should have done this years ago, but I didn't know it would be this simple. I will go here first the next time I need glass.
