In late July, my credit card was subject to fraud, so a new card was issued. I apparently failed to update my payment info prior to the 8/1/15 bill, but did it the same day that they tried to charge my old card and notified me of the declined payment. A couple of weeks later, they charged a $25 declined payment fee but didn't add it to my bill to be auto paid. They also didn't notify me of the charge until a letter sent 9/2/15. Admittedly, I am at fault of taking another month to contact them via email to request they waive the fee given my record of never having missed a payment in the 7 years of being a customer. I received a response saying not only would they not waive the fee, they also suspended my service until I paid the $25 fee (it hadn't been suspended prior to my request to waive the fee) and that we also would owe a $50 fee to restart service. My husband called the next morning and was given the same response. We decided to cancel the service since there are several other providers in our area. At that point they offered to cut the fee in half and give us 2 free months of service, but we would still be charged the $50 restart fee. I declined. Then I was told there is a $35 fee for them to pick up their trash can. At this point, I'm more than happy to pay whatever it takes to stop doing business with such a customer-unfriendly company. I subsequently signed up for Aspen, and their price is $45 less per quarter including all fees. Haven't had our first pick up so I don't know how the service compares to WM, but the price is definitely better. Wish I'd done the comparison shopping sooner.

The one I just talked to either hung up on me or we got disconnected and my yard waste is still not picked up even when she said it would be picked up by this evening. The automated system said it wasn't out in time for the regular pickup. It's been out on Tuesday night for three weeks and not been picked up. I usually don't have yard waste too often but I have the can with the label Yard Waste. I called the city to complain since they are the ones who hired them. I cannot access online because the icon just keeps spinning when I am trying to report a missed pickup. I had to have the city call years ago to get me a new container. I have gone out in the street and tracked the truck down to pick up my yard waste earlier this year. I feel like not paying my bill. If I hired these people I would fire them and get a new service but the city picks the company. Every company should have an easy access number to reach them. If they don't want to talk to people then they need to get out of the service industry.
