How poor of a structure does this so-called "professional" company have that they can't even accomplish THE ONE JOB they're paid to do? Drivers lie about attempting and completing pickups, and face ZERO repercussions for not doing the single thing they're paid to do. My waste bin hasn't been picked up for a solid week. It's not overflowing, it's right in front of my house at the side of a major road, my house has a very obvious address number on it, PLUS my file has a description of exactly where my house is. And yet they still fail at every turn. I've called every day to report the missed pickup and my FULL bin is STILL sitting at the roadside. This happens way too often, and for no reason. The route managers are ineffective and utterly worthless if they can't get their drivers to do their job. Fire them all and give us a cost break- at least that would soften the blow of the utter incompetence a little. read more

Billing and website are horrible. I do not blame the representative at the lowest level. Representative reached out to upper level management for assistance with my billing issue and was told to have me call back. Disrespectful of my time and unwilling to resolve the issue. read more

Poor service. I moved in 8/1/17. The previous owner had a final pick up of several waste containers and trash. It has been sitting there for 3 weeks now. The bill was paid , as a matter of fact, they owe her one month' s refund!! They keep saying they will pick up, but still have not touched the receptacles and trash...Fairview Heights, IL read more

Poor customer service, high price. I've been a WM customer for 7 years, set up on auto bill pay through their website. In late July, my credit card was subject to fraud, so a new card was issued. I apparently failed to update my payment info prior to the 8/1/15 bill, but did it the same day that they tried to charge my old card and notified me of the declined payment. A couple of weeks later, they charged a $25 declined payment fee but didn't add it to my bill to be auto paid. They also didn't notify me of the charge until a letter sent 9/2/15. Admittedly, I am at fault of taking another month to contact them via email to request they waive the fee given my record of never having missed a payment in the 7 years of being a customer. I received a response saying not only would they not waive the fee, they also suspended my service until I paid the $25 fee (it hadn't been suspended prior to my request to waive the fee) and that we also would owe a $50 fee to restart service. My husband called the next morning and was given the same response. We decided to cancel the service since there are several other providers in our area. At that point they offered to cut the fee in half and give us 2 free months of service, but we would still be charged the $50 restart fee. I declined. Then I was told there is a $35 fee for them to pick up their trash can. At this point, I'm more than happy to pay whatever it takes to stop doing business with such a customer-unfriendly company. I subsequently signed up for Aspen, and their price is $45 less per quarter including all fees. Haven't had our first pick up so I don't know how the service compares to WM, but the price is definitely better. Wish I'd done the comparison shopping sooner. read more

This business is pathetic. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ the contract before you sign it. They have an automatic renew built into it and they do NOT let you out. They can also raise your rates even though you agree to a specific amount in their "contract" They do this by calling it a "cost increase. The bill will have lots of additional extras. Fuel Charges, administrative fees besides the agreed upon rate. This contract is designed to screw their customers. BUYER BEWARE. read more
