the movers themselves did a good job. however, we had 2 damaged items, one we noticed when they were bringing things in (and decided we will fix ourselves, even though the process of doing so was going to be onerous (sanding and re-painting)), and the other item, we did not notice until 10 days later (a ripped sofa upholstery). first they tried to pin this on us and then told us there is nothing they can do because we did not bring this to their attention within 24 hours! an absurd policy, and they know that; set like that for the obvious reason to absolve themselves from any responsibility. they also brought us an item that was not ours. we mentioned that to them 10 days later when we noticed it! their response was: "we know who this is for" and that was the end of it! read more

Highly recommend! Kyle was prompt on the call back regarding my need for service. He followed up with an email detailing my request and called again to confirm a couple days before. two gentlemen showed up on time and handled my things with care. Moving America company was not very good. That they left trash on my driveway. Did Overcharge me. Said that they had to walk a 100 feet which was not a 100 feet. I measured they charged me for that. They were supposed to set things up. They didn't set it up there They tried to set up my sleep number bed and had it all backwards.The pump was hanging off.The wires and hoses were pinched in the piston I came in the one guy standing on my dining room.Table putting legs on my sofa and told me that it was okay when I told him to get off. And back to the 100 feet thing was in the contract. The first 100 feet was free. That's why I'm upset that he charged me for that said that he couldn't back the truck up into my driveway when I've had big 2 big dump trucks in my driveway back all the way up. I told them to put things in certain places. They didn't do it. I had to remove all the furniture myself. He was going to charge me for the steps.When it says in the contract 14 steps free I have 15.That's why he didn't in the driveway.So he could charge me more very sneaky people First you told me 7 steps.I told him I've never heard of 7 steps in a house.Then you realize that he screwed up and changed it read more

My company used Moving America to move our office space a few months ago. They were extremely professional and helpful despite the fact that it was a VERY last minute move. First, they responded promptly after another mover didn't respond for days (and only then after I left a review saying so). Second, they were prompt and professional. AND reasonably priced. These two guys and their truck moved a household and about fifteen big bookcases in less than three hours, with a twenty minute drive between houses. I would give these guys more stars if I could! Long story short, I needed to have a couch moved immediately. It was a Sunday afternoon and I needed it moved that day. I had called a dozen or so movers who all were no help and offered no suggestions. I desperately called Moving America and the owner answered the phone. I explained my situation and let them know I was in a bind. He offered to come out with his wife and personally move it AND he said they could be there in 30 minutes. Sure enough they arrived on time and were very professional, friendly, and efficient. I called Moving America and got service the same day. Upon arrival, I couldn't help but notice how ridiculously attractive the movers were. So ridiculous, in fact, I had to check my phone to make sure I didn't accidentally contact a role playing stripper service. The second thought I had was how young and thin and... -can I say fresh? Nah, nevermind that doesn't sound right- how basically tiny these young boys looked. They were like Chippendale liliputians. But holy mother of cheese burgers, they were as strong as a well chiseled, oiled up ox. To get into the meat and bones of this review, it is to be noted that none of my belongings were damaged, and was all done in a surprisingly fast pace. We were downsizing; moving from our family home of 20 years. We moved into a villa half the size of our house. I thought I'd gotten rid of a lot of our stuff. Kyle suggested a larger truck. I agreed. Upon arrival Kyle knew he would need an additional man and placed the call immediately. These guys worked like champs for ten solid hours. None of them ever complained in fact they were all very pleasant throughout the move. It required two trips. Everything was orchestrated perfectly. Nothing was damage. Fees are very affordable. I needed moving help on short notice, and without a doubt Kyle and his team were the best movers I have ever used! It wasn't easy--we were moving things to the nursing home for my 93-year-old mother and couldn't find the back doors we were to use and drove around wherever the staff sent us til finally we got the right spot, and they had everything unloaded and in her room very quickly. Kyle was very helpful keeping us up to date on the status of our movers, and those three gentlemen were very well mannered, clean, kind and reassuring. They quickly assessed the contents of our home and implemented appropriate wrapping, blankets and they even discussed strategy on tough pieces so they wouldn't damage walls or stair rails. These guys were really good. The gave the lowest quote and seemed to really know what they were doing. They took their time to figure out how to get my furniture out of my townhouse and into an equally tricky 3 story house in the city. I had some pieces that would just not fit and I know they did their best to attempt to get things in without damaging anything and admitting when it just could not happen. And yes, they are good looking, nice, personable, friendly guys. They put up with my complicated move ALL day and stayed in good spirits. The only slight flaw was they were pretty cramped with truck space and we had to cram as much as we could in our cars, plus make another trip back to the apartment to grab some things. But all said, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone else. read more

This review is so long overdue. I was moving a while back from St. Louis to Minnesota for work and very last minute (I had one week to move!). I called and was able to get things arranged very quickly and at a reasonable price. Kyle and his team did everything! They took apart my furniture, helped get the last of my things packed up, and even got to my new place in Minnesota before me! Then they put everything back together so efficiently.
