Food is good and the atmosphere is nice friendly staff but the pina colada is where it is at!!!!!

RUM!!

Absolutely authentic cuban food. Less english. More fat. Savory. Awesome mojitos and a rum shelf you won't find around Denver much. I had a Cubano AND the Picadillos y Maduros (ground beef and crispy plantains). Rich, savory cuban food-- well made. Refreshing mojitos, fresh muddled mint of course... I dunno, what else can I say? Cuban music. Great vibe (thirsty lunch or casual dinner). Courteous, prompt service. Any questions? This is my first visit... I'll be back many times. A lot more to try on the menu.

Food left in lobby. Driver sent me this photo to show delivery.

I placed an order for delivery to be delivered to my hotel room with specific instructions to knock on my room door. This was the worst experience possible. 1.) The food was late 2.) The food was very cold, including the coffee 3.) The food was left in the common area of the lobby by a drink station. 4.) Messages left on ordering number as well as restaurant number to rescind the driver's tip since he/she did not deliver to me specifically. It is totally unacceptable for the food to be cold; not cool, but refrigerator cold, (I have no way of heating, as the Hyatt Place has no microwaves in rooms) when the restaurant is LESS than one mile away. I am from Miami and was looking forward to enjoying authentic Cuban food; according to the reviews. Disappointment doesn't begin to describe how I feel about wasting my money and having to suffer and eat that garbage. DO NOT order delivery from here. At least dining in you can send cold food back! Will Not order again nor recommend this location.

Love this spot. Had the cubano sandwich, SO good! Easy parking at 4pm on a Thursday. Great drink specials for happy hour. Staff were all nice and service was quick.

Of course I had to have the traditional Cuban Miami style. The service was fast yet fresh and hot. I loved the paintings inside but sitting outside was delightfully relaxing. I will definitely return and recommend to all my friends.

Phenomenal food -- best Cuban sandwiches we've had. Great job with the mixed drinks too. Atmosphere is spot on.

MahiMahi sandwich at CubaCuba. (Seems like a good idea they chose that fish, huh?)

Oh my oh my. Thirteen years ago I wrote a review for CubaCuba, the restaurant down on Golden Triangle Delaware St., and now, what seems to me to be a finger snap of time later and having eaten there many times without reviewing it, I find myself writing up one of their 3 additional sandwicherias. Why? Well a week or so ago I had an intense craving for a fish sandwich for lunch. I have no idea why. Thinking that was no big deal and I could find a bunch of places to satisfy my food-on I started looking around where I work for a deep fried piece of be-bunned tartary cod. Nope. Then being extra creative since I was so hungry I thought, "why not just go and buy 2 fish fillet sandwiches at Wendy's or BK or Micky D's." It'll be faster and way worse in the good sense of the word "worse" with some salt-drenched fries and one of those 60 oz half gallons of soda. Whew. I was getting "hod for cod" just thinking about it. So do all of you know the secret that I guess passed me by a while back? Do you know that none of the downtown area fast food junk shops sell fish fillet sandwiches these days? What's up with that? Is that a corporate protest against Catholicism or something? Finally after spending what seemed like a month looking for the nearest fried fish sammie, I stumbled upon the CubaCuba sandwicheria in Glendale . . . and it was a good thing I did 'cause I was starting to think about visiting my friend's apartment; they guy with the aquarium . . . hmmmm. Anyway, had their Mahi tempura fish sandwich with citrus slaw and habanero aioli on a whole wheat bun for only $9.50 which wasn't really that much more than what a combo meal at one of those fast food joints used to cost when they sold those fish things. Bottom line, a way more satisfying experience than driving through a pick-up line. When you're in the mood for an excellent tasting fish sandwich check out CubaCuba sanwicherias. And the tip of the day is that you should see if you have time to eat inside and not do takeout. The mahi is tempura'ed nice and crispy when you don't let it sit in a takeout bag for any period of time. Sign me, David "always thinking about you" M

Amazing!! We ordered takeout from Cuba Cuba and loved everything we tried. The food was well-packaged. The Cubano was well-seasoned and a perfect balance of meat, cheese and tang from pickles. It reheated perfectly in the toaster oven. The combo of a half sandwich and two sides was a generous serving. We got the picadillo and ropa vieja empanadas as the sides which also heated well and were crispy with a rich filling. I liked the ropa vieja more between the two. The lechon asado plate came with yummy black beans, rice and perfectly ripe maduros (fried plantains). The lechon itself was tender and the garlic sauce it came with paired nicely.

The Al Pastor sausage is made in-house, which you can tell the second you bite into it. Fried Chicken Sandwich has a salsa macha on it that I'm still thinking about. Even talked myself into the beet salad, which is not normally my thing, and it converted me, pumpkin seeds and pickled cherries on it. Also worth knowing, they share a building with Grow + Gather, an actual rooftop farm, and a lot of what's in the salads comes straight from it. I live close by and I'm already planning my next visit.

When I let our server know about the allergy restrictions in our group, since the menu was family style, she was a little snippy and said it wouldn't be an issue. Fortunately, our group has navigated this before so we were able to make appropriate choices. There were a few patrons seated in the area with us, but it did not appear overly busy. Our drink orders did take longer than usual to arrive, so we either had to flag down our server to order another beverage, get water refills, or stack our orders. Food, overall, was good. There were some hits and misses for me. Miss- raja corn chile relleno. It had an odd bitter taste and no heat. Hits- green curry coconut shrimp ceviche. Delicious with the right amount of heat and sweetness. Colorado lamb, simply seasoned with coriander and perfectly roasted, paired with seasonal vegetables charred to perfection and pumpkin seeds on top, yum! We were definitely full and had plenty of food to pack up to take home. Note: Work & Class menu changes as it is seasonal and based on fresh ingredients, but many of the meat and side choices remain the same.

Once you find your way in, the hidden entrance, dim lighting, and cozy space make it feel like a bar only the locals know about. The real highlight was Ryan behind the bar. He clearly knows his craft and loves what he does. He asked what we were in the mood for, made great recommendations, and talked us through what went into each drink. Every cocktail was balanced, creative, and beautifully made, the kind of drink you want to slow down and actually savor. You can tell real care goes into the ingredients and technique. Great atmosphere, outstanding cocktails, and a bartender who makes the whole experience. If you're in Denver and love a well-made drink, ask for Ryan. We'll definitely be back.

What really stood out though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of, without ever feeling overbearing. It somehow felt like they were hosting us personally, which made the experience even better. We didn't eat this time, but after how much we enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere, we'll absolutely be back for dinner. NOTE-the doorbell you look for to know you are at the right spot is very small. I almost missed it.

It was easy to walk to without moving my car from the mall garage, which was nice since the parking near the bar itself is scarce and just street parking. They have the cutest little set up, nestled in between a larger building with some large murals on the walls of beautiful violet flowers. They also have a great patio set up, with live fires that you can sit around. The service was great, we were greeted almost instantly, and the waiter made recommendations on his favorite drinks, I got the coco coffee cocktail, which is very popular according to the staff. It was a little too creamy for me, so not my favorite, but was tasty and elegant nonetheless. I also got the Elote dip, it was also good, but nothing spectacular. Overall, the vibe was great, though, people at other tables were friendly, and it did not feel stuffy. Prices are Cherry Creek normal, a drink is $16-20.
