Bring back Derek and Mr. Fanosi in the pharmacy. You never have the same people there twice, or so it seems, now and the service is terrible. I don't care if you're the busiest Walgreens in the system (doubt it) but that is what I was told. This is the grocery store I visit weekly because I live so near to it. It is definitely not the best nor the cheapest, but it certainly gets the job done. I also enjoy the prepared foods, especially the fried chicken and mashed potatoes! I was transferred to the Edina store where someone told me that they didn't know. I was transferred to another person where they didn't speak comprehensive English. Then, I was transferred to a manager who said to me yes. Then she said as long as it goes through my bank. Today, 11/13/2022 at 6:11 PM after I went to the same cub to make the purchase this afternoon, I looked on the back of their Money Order. I'm not sure what game you're playing, but you just caused me to waste my time. I called your phone 6:11 PM and to speak to a manager and Mike got on the line and started pretending he didn't know what I was saying to him. Told me, I would have to call tomorrow. I'm not sure what kind of outfit you people run or what kind of incompetence you believe I have to put up with. I expect a refund and to be compensated for my time. I go here for two reasons: Jolly Time popcorn and to return a Red Box movie. I rarely look around or buy anything else. I do occasionally grab a two-liter bottle of soda since the Red Box is nearby. Their prices on organic produce are outrageous. Do better at Trader Joe's and Costco. read more

I find this store a cut above other Cubs in the area. It has more of the specialty gourmet foods and equipment that I enjoy. I'm not wild about traditional grocery stores, but this one is good. read more

There was a misleading advertisement on the main Cub website (it said that you could go to Cub stores and get a free children's admission to Sea Life with the purchase of an adult ticket). However most Cub stores had no clue about this promotion. Steve at this Cub got to the bottom of it, figured out what the mistake was, communicated up the chain, and made sure I was reimbursed for my time and money. Mistakes happen, but it makes all the difference when companies go out of their way to make it right. read more

I'd give 5 stars but there is a particular manager (white heavy set woman w glasses about mid 30) she is so rude to the elderly customers I just can't deal w her. She is snotty at times and tbh the managers (all men younger and older) are amazing!! So friendly and welcoming they older gals at the customer service area are a pleasure. Truly go to them if I see them bc their customer service is just really up there. The two younger females in that Dept both w long hair are always pleasant. Just had my second delivery using the new Cub delivery/pick-up system. I am so impressed and pleased. From the website to the polite knock, this new system is the best. You can add or delete items with ease from your list before you place your order. The selection is great. The shoppers I have had are so helpful with suggestions in case a product is not available. The very uncomplicated charges are a delight compared to Instacart. Plus if you become a Cub card holder (like I have been for years) you save on almost everything. I hope Cub succeeds and that this continues to be a part of my "isolated Covid 19 " life.. Thank You!! P.S. Did I mention that you will save $$$$$$!!!!!????? Well...you will. I thought it was time I updated my previous review because I have been having some really great service here for the past few months. The cashiers seem to be a lot nicer and some of them have started giving customers the Cub coupons if you didn't clip them yourself. I wonder if Cub actually read my last complaint because when I ask employees where items are, they point me to the correct aisle now. I've been using coupons more and more to combat the rising food and gas prices and I'm not made to feel embarrassed for using coupons here, which I really appreciate. I've been very impressed with how they have improved with their customer service. Also, unlike Rainbow, they keep their advertised sales items well stocked so I rarely find that they are out of items that I need. Keep up the great work, Cub! read more

I will still use this location for grocery runs where I need a lot of boxed, canned, or packaged items because their prices will be cheaper than Lunds or Jerry's. The quality and selection of cuts of meat can vary, although they've been on a roll lately and I've had some decent steaks from here this summer on the couple of runs I've made. They are either just finished with or in the process of a slight renovation, so things are moved around and cleaned up a bit. It also looks like they're trying to offer more cheeses, deli, etc. Points for effort and points for the reorganization and cleanup. I always have to watch the checkout person when they are scanning your stuff because on a big purchase no matter who it is, they always mis-charge me for at least one item of produce or anything that doesn't have a barcode. I'm sure they think they know everything just by looking at it, but without fail I will be charged $1.50 more per pound of apples because they mixed up the on-sale Braeburns with not-on-sale Honeycrisp, or charged me for Belgian endives instead of some lettuce, parsley...anything leafy that comes out of that section and goes in a plastic bag seems to confuse, so keep an eye on the screen. The "old" Cub was probably a two-star, this still isn't three but with a hopeful eye toward the future and what this small renovation might yield, three is merited. read more

Have you ever seen American Horror Story: Coven? In AHS, hell is your worst moment, over and over again for eternity. My hell is the produce section of this Cub on a Sunday in late afternoon. It's packed and narrow and everyone is trying to maneuver their way around huge carts and someone is inevitably blocking the goods you want meditating on the perfect avocado and the plastic bags are always out where you need them so you have to maneuver around a million more traffic jams across the way before you can get an effing jalapeno. Pretty good deals, though. read more

This Cub is one of my favorites; it is always clean, the employees are very nice, and they always have what I need in stock. Pricing is competitive on most products with surrounding markets. Their coupon book is great, as they tend to put some of the most popular items in the book; thus, you can always get a good deal on something great! I also enjoy the markdowns on almost expired meats (as you can save almost 70% or more on something you can freeze for months). Overall, this Cub is fantastic and I will continue to come here for the foreseeable future. read more

Cub is about as good as any other supermarket, no problem there. I am writing regarding their food donation bags. We had been paying to donate the $20 bag every week, then one day we asked the cashier what's in them. He didn't know but opened the one we'd paid for. There were 7 or 8 random granola bars. And not even healthy ones. I had assumed the contents would be staples - pasta, peanut butter, cereal, that sort of thing. We now donate to Second Harvest, where $20 goes much farther than a handful of granola bars. read more

Remember the old adage...you get what you pay for! If the people are too poor for you to be around then go over to Byerlys or Whole Foods. I don't think I've ever written a review about a pharmacy itself, but this pharmacy is really something special. Being on a high-deductible health plan -- and having just recently been put on a maintenance medication for an autoimmune issue -- I've had to deal with pharmacies a lot over the last couple of months. The construct of my health insurance plan is such that claiming prescription medication expenses through insurance is (ironically) much more expensive than if I were to use a drug discount card found on the internet. As such, I've spent a good deal of time comparing discount cards and drug prices that vary by pharmacy. Practically speaking, this has meant a lot of calls and visits to different pharmacies to find the most affordable price for drugs, even switching pharmacies for refills when drug prices spike and settle based on the drug manufacturer and the time of year. As anyone with experience price shopping for medical care can attest, this process is not pleasant. In fact, it can be downright discouraging. Not only are you desperately trying to find care at an affordable price (which can often feel like an impossible task), but you also consistently deal with overworked, grumpy people, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. All that to say, I wasn't expecting much when I decided to transfer my current prescription to this Cub Foods for an out-of-state pick-up on a visit to my parents' house. I had filled a similar prescription with another Cub Foods a couple of months prior and experienced the expected (irritable pharmacist, pleasant pharmacy tech, undercounted pills). However, I am happy to say that my experience with this Cub Foods Pharmacy, in particular -- from the first call to the final pick-up -- was an absolute pleasure. First, anytime I interacted with the pharmacy staff, whether it was over the phone or in-person, they were incredibly nice, understanding, and willing to help. In a world where it has become commonplace for pharmacy techs to roll their eyes at me, this was a very welcome relief. There was an initial problem with transferring my prescription, but the pharmacy techs (and the pharmacist herself) followed-up through numerous phone calls -- each time promptly and courteously -- to ensure the prescription could be successfully transferred and processed. They also acted very quickly to fill the prescription: Even though it took until early afternoon to get the transfer figured out, they made sure that my out-of-stock prescription was filled by the next morning. Moreover, when I didn't pick up my prescription right away (and the pharmacy was switching over to a new electronic records system), they personally called me to ensure I picked it up before the switchover occurred (which would have resulted in me needing to have the prescription put back and refilled). If this wasn't already impressive, I faced even better service when I went to pick up my prescription in-person. The staff was efficient, organized, and kind. When I asked to use a discount card (a practice that sometimes gives pharmacists grief), the pharmacist (Carrie Newton, literally the nicest pharmacist ever) pleasantly told me that there was already a discount card on file and that she had already processed the discounted price for me. But, wait, it gets better. I had picked up my prescription and walked away from the counter for about 5-10 minutes. I then realized that I forgot to ask them to count the pills in front of me (a practice I now request, given that I've been shortchanged pills in the past). I went back to the counter to see if they could do it for me. Pharmacies aren't always the happiest to recount pills upon request, and the large majority will refuse to do so after you've left the counter (for obvious reasons). However, the pharmacy tech was happy to help me out with the counting after I explained the situation. If my experience wasn't great enough, it was capped off by the fact that another customer in line, after picking up his prescription from the pharmacy tech, shouted hello to Carrie, who was preoccupied counting pills behind the counter. Now, most pharmacists I've interacted with don't like to be distracted. But this is Carrie Newton -- who I noted before is literally the nicest pharmacist ever -- so she stopped what she was doing, looked up, recognized the customer, and happy replied hello with a wave. Let me just stop here and say that if a customer picking up a prescription feels comfortable enough to say hello to his pharmacist by name, even when she is not helping him at the time, there is something big that this pharmacy is doing right. My experience with this pharmacy is the closest I've ever gotten to understanding the concept of a "hometown pharmacy". If this pharmacy was closer to where I live and I didn't have to worry about chasing the cheapest prescription drug price from pharmacy to pharmacy, I would always use this pharmacy. read more

Went to cubs to buy beer and was already in line to pay was on Sunday 8/11/19 wasnt 6 and the person in the register told the other two customers he couldn't ring up any more sales so I end up leaving. This is frustrating because I could of go accross the street but went 15 min away . Call the store I was told to be there at 5:30 so they should not let the doors open after 5:30 read more

This place has the worst customer service. I arrived at about 8:59 to get a morning order, and they flipped the sign on the counter to show it was closed, giving absolutely no interest in helping me. I understand that this place was closing, but I'd expect that they would at least ask what I was there for or at least try to help. read more

Some nice prices but bad service. Yesterday I purchased $150 plus of groceries at the Edina Cub on York. The cashier would not honor coupons since there was some sort of problem with my rewards card. Not a big deal but a mild irritation since I thought that was what the cards were for. I packed up my groceries in double bags. As I was transferring one of the bags to my cart TWO of the handles broke resulting in this bag tumbling to the floor and a carton of eggs breaking. As I started to pick everything up the man behind the customer service station irritatingly called someone for clean up. He watched me clean everything up never once offering to help or replace the eggs. As I went to wash the yolk off of my hands he kindly kicked a trash bin my way I suppose to prevent others from slipping? Or maybe he wanted to clean up more. read more

This is probably our favorite Cub location and we shop for groceries here on a weekly basis. I like their coupons, especially the $5-off coupons that they have been running recently. The store is organized the same way as most other Cub locations that I have visited and the prices seem good to me. They also have a great selection, especially ethnic foods. We have had good luck with TPR (temporary price reduction) items in their meat department, but other than that the meat selection is not that great. read more

Filthy dirty store, sale items not in stock, and the pharmacy people seem to hate anyone, especially us oldsters. Carrie the pharmacist loves to make fun of you and discuss your illness in front of people. The bakery has day old stuff. HyVe or Costco could make a fortune coming in to this area. No where else to shop except the high priced stores here. This is really a Jerry's under Cubs name. I drive a little now to avoid this store. I like to be treated like a human. read more

Cub Foods on York Avenue in Edina is nailing it with their produce department! In the Edina area it is difficult to find other stores that have a stream-lined, designated organic section. I love the "store within a store" concept instead of the organic produce interspersed with conventional items. There are a lot of really wholesome, locally produced fruits and vegetables as well. There are vibrant, eye-catching displays, robust and well stocked sections, and no "sad" areas of wilting produce. I have been a long time shopper here, but for a while now, it has been evident that the people working there really care about their department. It shows! I frequent all the area stores, but have found Cub's produce department to be the best in all areas, especially with the organics! I am spreading the word! Keep up the good work!! read more

This week the Betty Crocker Hamburger, Chicken Helper are all $1 each. Today I bought 12 boxes of them. At the checkout I handed the cashier first the $10 I got last week. And then handed her 3 $0.75 coupons. The $1 ecoupon also shown up. At the end, she should have hand me $1.25 back. But she keyed in a "Edible Grocery" fpr $1.25. So that clear out the $1.25 I should have back. I never had this problem with any of the other cashiers there in the Cubs at the northeast corner of Hwy 65 and Main Street in Blaine, MN. I called the bakery to order buttercream frosting. When shopping at a different CUB location, I've always been able to order the color I want. The lady in the bakery told me that they do not color frosting, it only comes in white. I asked if they had food coloring and if they could color it for me, she said they did not and couldn't. She was quite rude to me. I called over to the CUB on Lyndale Avenue in Bloomington and they are able to color my frosting for me. They are always very polite and helpful. I will go out of my way to shop there instead of Edina. read more

Just learned something last night while shopping at Cub in Edina - the shelf sticker price is not the price you pay. You pay more than the shelf sticker price. If you want to pay the shelf sticker price, you have to look for coupons, and there are at least four places (I don't know them all; the store manager just rattled them off to me verbally last night) to look. Here's what I bought: four bags of chips, shelf sticker "2 for $5." They rang up at $2.99 each. Checker asked if I have any coupons and I said no. When I checked the receipt, I mentioned that I was overcharged and checker says, "That's why I asked if you have any coupons." So apparently, if you want to pay the price listed on the shelf sticker at Cub, you first have to find a coupon in one of at least four places first. If not, it's possible you'll pay more. I told the manager, "It's too hard to shop here." And he agreed. From my perspective, the shelf sticker is my coupon - if they aren't going to charge me that price at the register, then get it off the shelf and show the price I'll be charged. For the record, I have a Cub Rewards card and it didn't get me any discount, and when I asked about being overcharged, they eventually refunded the $1.96. Other places I remember being listed by the store manager: Cub Rewards app on your smartphone, Cub web page, newspaper insert. There may be more. Beware. read more

I work for a grocery store, so it's not often I need to go to a Cub or Rainbow or Lunds. But on the rare occasion that I'm in the neighborhood, or don't feel like showing my face at work on my day off, I'll wander in for a specific item. I've made the mistake of doing this twice at this Cub. Being in the business myself, I understand how every store can have an "off" day, so the first time I ran in, and was treated like a vagrant that was just sprayed by skunk, I gave them a pass. Yesterday, however, I was completely insulted & mortified by the treatment that I received. And not just me! I witnessed no less than two other acts of horrible customer service. I was shopping in the produce dept., and overheard a woman ask a clerk if she knew if they had elephant garlic. The clerk responded "Ma'am, I have no idea what that is, so probably not." and promptly went back to what she was doing. (putting up sale price stickers) I was offended, but it didn't happen to me, so I carried on. I only had a few items I needed for dinner, so it would be a quick trip. I got to the self check out line, and the woman ahead of me was a senior, who had just a few items, but was having problems getting them bagged, as the first bag seemed to tear, and then she couldn't get the second opened. The woman "minding" the self check out line looked at her with open disdain. She looked up from her chat with a co-worker to see that there was a hold up and then she actually said to the woman "You're going to have to hurry up, this is supposed to be an express lane!" and then walked back and resumed her workplace gossip. I countered by telling the poor customer that she didn't have to hurry on account of me, and that I'd help her if she'd like. She declined, but this interaction clearly pissed off the snotty clerk, who now turned her sights on me. When it was my turn through the lane, I didn't have but three items, so I declined sending them down the automatic belt to be bagged. She immediately set upon me and took the milk out of my hand & set it on the belt. Before I could even figure out what to say in protest, she snatched up my bag of kale & said "Don't you know the number for this? You're going to have to look it up yourself then." and set the kale aside, walking away. I stood there slack jawed for a second, deciding if it was worth my time to complain. I'd already seen two other acts of rudeness on the part of the employees, so I figured the management would either be deluged with complaints already, or must truly not care. I decided that it would be the last time I set foot in a Cub. read more

Extremely rude cashiers every time I go there!! I was so unhappy with them and how rude they were to me last time, I'm done with that place. Oh and another time I was there they had no clue where lemon juice was! I asked one guy, he asked another guy, he went off to find another employee, we were standing there for 10 minutes without anyone knowing where it is, finally they just gave up and said sorry we don't know where it was moved to. This place is gross and disgusting, and their produce is not fit for human consumption. I normally shop elsewhere (with a Byerley's, Lund's, and Target close by, there are a lot of other alternatives), but I was tempted with BOGO coupons for fresh strawberries and blackberries. Never again. The strawberry selection was awful, with many of the packages containing overripe and moldy fruit. I bought a cantaloupe that turned out to be tasteless. The floors were sticky, and the experience was simply awful. I will never shop there again. read more
