I had already arranged transportation/care during recovery so I was completely distraught. I immediately called Dr. Brigg's office and spoke with Kaylee who was beyond helpful and patient with me as I was already stressed out and livid due to the original cancellation. I was expecting to maybe get in by the end of the week or maybe even the following week, but no! They got me in the next day, which was the day my original oral surgery was suppose to take place. She was able to give me my estimate right on the spot and basically took care of everything needed to get everything scheduled. Experience overall 20/10! Staff was welcoming and the sweetest angels. Dr. Briggs was great and straight to the point which is what I like. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Briggs and her team. They truly turned a nightmare around for me. Dr. Briggs even called me in the evening to make sure I was doing well. It's small things like that, that truly matter. I will definitely continue to go to Dr. Briggs for any of my oral surgery needs.

The dentist herself was great -- that is not the issue. This review is a warning to anyone…read moreconsidering this office: document everything and track your time. Nearly two years after a tooth extraction, I received a text message that looked like a scam. I almost deleted it. After doing a reverse number search, I confirmed it came from San Gabriel Oral Surgery. When I called the office, I was told I had an unpaid balance of $957.00 for three 15-minute sedation charges at mixed rates -- supposedly not covered by my insurance. The extraction itself had already been paid for. I was told, "Insurance companies don't like to pay for single-tooth extractions." I immediately called BS and asked for an itemized statement. At first I got an "ummm." After asking again, I was told they would email it to me. I also asked why I was being contacted almost two years later. I was told their previous billing/accounting company "dropped the ball" and they're now using a new one. When I received the statement, it only showed the tooth extraction -- no sedation charges. I then contacted my insurance company and spoke with two different representatives, including someone in the dental department. Both confirmed the issue: the office failed to submit the required doctor's notes explaining why sedation was necessary. They told me the office could resubmit the claim. I emailed the office explaining this. After multiple back-and-forth messages, instead of rebilling insurance, they offered to discount my bill by 10%. I repeatedly asked whether they had contacted my insurance company to rebill the claim. They avoided the question. At that point, I told them I would not pay anything until I received a written denial from my insurance company, because I no longer trust the office's billing practices. I also informed them that Texas state law requires medical providers to bill within specific time limits, and attempting to collect nearly two years later is unacceptable. I even offered to split the cost, despite this being entirely their billing failure. That offer was ignored. Instead of holding their billing company accountable, they chose to pressure the patient. Bottom line: Keep detailed records. Time how long you're sedated. Get everything in writing. Because one or two years later, you may receive a surprise bill with the explanation: "We dropped the ball -- now you owe us." This feels deceptive, and patients deserve better.

Extremely Disappointed -- Avoid This Dentist…read more Dr. Dustin Adamek performed a crown restoration on tooth #19, which led to a crack inside the tooth, infection, and the need for a full implant. I had to have the crown he put in extracted, and now I need an implant. During the numbing injections, he talked to and looked at his assistant instead of focusing on the procedure, and he seemed distracted throughout. He also complained about my previous crown work in front of me to his assistant, which was unprofessional and inappropriate. When complications arose shortly after, Dr. Adamek would not speak to me directly or take any responsibility for a failed crown -- all within three months of the procedure. I've never had a tooth infection in 58 years -- until now. The office staff was kind and professional, but the care I received caused lasting harm. I do not recommend this dentist. What truly stood out was the doctor's calm and compassionate approach, which made it easy to trust him. I highly recommend this office to anyone who feels uneasy or overwhelmed at dental appointments.

Also huge since we have two little kids so I can only go when my husband can take over. Being able to schedule an appointment at 8am on a Saturday was super helpful for me. Thank you!

Dr. M did a thorough exam & the prognosis was a likely root canal. I knew root canal treatment was on their website as one of the services provided. I was surprised that I was being referred to an endodontist in Austin & I would have to schedule my appointment with them. So, I did & make an appointment with them for Tuesday of next week. Dr Wang is metered and reasonable in her approach and is skilled in assessment. However, the…read morerepeated failures of basic dental provision is what fuels this review. I had been a patient for over 10 years, and spent more than that in thousands at this practice with many experiences. The staff that is present at any point is inconsistent. Doctor has sent home a temp who was hired and who couldn't not get a decent x ray after 20 attempts at radiating my face. She noted she was a temp when I said "hey, what's with the repeated radiation, why is this going on and on??" I spend over 1000 dollars on a zirconia bridge to watch the hygienist drop it on the floor and have it fracture in my face 5 months later. I had it redone with lesser grade material for the same "replacement cost". I have bruxism - stress over time is a thing. Hiring staff, albeit temporarily, who have identifiable dependency struggles is a liability. In the same vein, a dentist was hired for a short term, fractured an adjoining tooth as she pried the temporary off the next. The last teeth cleaning i had was so excruciating (the flossing cut deeply into my gums) I decided to eat the other half of the yearly double cleaning charge and not go back at all. Office staff came back to have me sign compulsory paperwork for the ongoing - very expensive - restoration while I was in the chair, numb, mouth open and vulnerable. 500 to 700 hundred. I am a person with chronic illness and a lot of pain and trauma, which is why I seek skilled practitioners. I am also very transparent with my needs and coping strategies. I communicate my conditions and how that impacts dental care. I had the experience of having my medical history/care be discussed with office staff which were not included in my treatment team - which was very exposing and not based on role based policies and privacy safeguards. I am very familiar with the medical use of nitrous oxide as I have utilized it for extensive facial and dental restoration. l requested this service (as I had received before) and the gas was not flowing. I was told to (wait 5 min or so) which is not how gas works. Like helium, nitrous takes immediate effect and impacts vocal tone, which makes it very easy to identify if it has been inhaled. The machinery was clearly malfunctioning, or the tanks were empty. My personal safety limits required that I ask the staff to reschedule. Stafff refused the idea that the equipment could be malfunctioning. The team noted the next patient was to have nitrous and they would call me to reschedule if the equipment "worked for her". Dr Wang noted on the way out with me that she hoped there was nothing wrong with the equipment as there is a very expensive specialized maintenance and repair - leading me to wonder about the system maintenance overall. I waited a week or so to call back and was told the equipment worked fine for the other patient. As the years have passed, this practice has lost its attentiveness and patient centered approach. Provision is rushed, spotty and uninformed. I do not recommend this practice any longer, most certainly not for trauma related care or affecting chronic health conditions. I found the staff far too inconsistent and far too unprofessional to continue care here.

Unfortunately, I've had some bad experiences with Dentisits. When I finally decided to take action I took a look at the reviews on Yelp and decided to give La Frontera Dental a shot.
