This is my second review of Dr. Andrew Edmonds and his practice at 4405 Dental Studio in Georgetown, TX. The difference between the two reviews reflects the outcome of more complex procedures - crowns and fillings - then that covered in my first review. The need to repair the week, worn and decayed teeth with fillings and crowns was recommended by several dentists many years ago. I held off simply because having these procedures was on the bottom of the million things, I want to do list. Also, all previous fillings and crowns were far from painless and effortless. Finally, due to the chronic pain and inability chew on both sides of mouth, I had no option then to let Dr. Edmonds perform the procedures. What I did not know until today is that Dr. Edmonds is an artist too. An artist due to the fact he sculptured my fillings and temporary crown on par with what Michelangelo could do. Having four other crowns and a mouthful of fillings, not one every felt as natural as those done today by Dr. Edmonds. Furthermore, and most surprising, was the fact that after 1-1/2 hours of drilling, fitting and picking there was "ZERO" pain, discomfort and sensitivity anywhere in my mouth after the local anesthesia wore off an hour or so later. Overall, the nagging pain in my mouth that existed from the cavities, weak and highly worn teeth, immediately and magically disappeared. One last comment, Dr. Edmonds has a high-resolution TV mounted on the ceiling of the treatment room. So, while looking up in the dental chair during the procedure you can watch a show of interest. Only problem was at times Dr. Edmonds hands cover my eyes causing me to miss some of the show I was watching. On the way out, I told the Doc to have a hole put in his hand. read more

In my 85 plus years I have never recommended a dentist. I now am. I wanted to interview the dentist to go over my limitations and concerns so I booked a consult appointment expecting to pay for their time. I was not charged. My issues are with not being able to lay as flat as many providers want and limitations to time in the chair due to back issues as well as some types of procedures which have not been successful. I discussed all of these and we came to an agreement as to how to proceed. At my first appointment for x-rays and examination my requirements were met with the exception of the first hygienist who proceeded to lecture me. I asked for another hygienist for the cleaning and that request was honored. She used high pressure water to clean my teeth and for the first time I had no pain! Next came the removal of a crown because of decay below it and the building of a new one. Care was taken of my seating and time restraints and the work was divided into two sessions at no additional costs. Their equipment and techniques are all very modern and simplify many old procedures. The crown fit perfectly on first fitting. Overall, all the staff (with the exception of one) are courteous, well trained, communicate well with each other and with me as the procedures progressed. Every attempt was to keep me as comfortable as possible and to keep me informed as to what they were doing in my mouth. Overall a very positive experience. read more

Superb practice! Staff and dentists are outstanding and treat every patient with such attention and care regardless of the procedure. They have their own annual insurance which works for people who just need a few cleanings every year or major dental work like extractions, crowns or implants. As a new patient, I asked questions about the need for the various scans. The hygenist acted like she was a salesperson instead of a care provider. She peppered me with questions about my life - when I told her I do not like talking a lot at the dentist (duh!), her response was, "your appointment is an hour and half long. If you are not going to talk, this is going to be a LONG hour and half". She kept telling me to calm down when the x-ray tools she placed in my mouth caused pain. She jammed them in and then acted like I was being an uncooperative child when I winced in pain. I walked out without the cleaning. Don't go. She told me all the staff are just like her! read more

This is a clean, comfortable, state of the art dental practice with an amazing front office staff and super friendly dentists. I saw Dr. Edmonds whom they call Dr. E and he was gentle, kind and did great work on replacing a crown. I highly recommend this dental practice! read more

This is, without a doubt, the best dental experience I've ever had. I've always been super apprehensive about going to the dentist because I get anxiety, dry mouth, and generally don't like the feeling of someone in my mouth... I'm sure I'm not alone on this. I've been coming here for three years now, and every time I go in, no matter who is working on me that day, whether it's Morgan, Sofia, Dr. Sura, or Dr. Edmonds, their bedside manner is top-notch! They make me feel at ease, they talk through the process, and I never feel like any of my neuroticisms aren't valid. The best dentist in the greater Austin area! I drive 20 miles to this practice because Dr Edmonds and Dr Sura are dedicated to providing the best care. They have the most high tech equipment and comfortable office environment. I have been going to 4405 for cleanings for 5 years and trusted Dr Edmonds to do my veneers after seeing his great attention to detail and perfectionism. I just returned from an upper bridge and a Crown. I visited 3 dentists, and selected Dr. Edmond. It had to be the best experience I have had working with any Dentist or Dr. For that matter. Love the outcome, and how they paid attention to every detail to make sure that the bridge fit perfectly, the crown also fits perfectly, and the communication throughout the procedure. Nice dentist, but be careful of which dental hygienist you get. The one I just had did a number on my gums and teeth. I have never experienced such a rough cleaning and tore up gums in my entire life. I will not be going back after that experience. read more

Dr. Edmonds did the wrong procedure, one he originally said should NOT be done, then lied to cover it up. He put cadaver bone into the socket of a tooth he removed and had originally said would take 6 months to heal. The kicker is that he also said that you run the risk of infection if you put a temporary tooth over the socket with cadaver bone. Now, because he just did what he wanted without thinking, I have the cadaver bone and temporary bridge over the socket and he says it is okay and will only take 6 weeks. So which is it? Am I going to have an infected mess because he made a mistake? He also charged me extra for his mistake. read more

Dr. Edmond and his associates are all super friendly and professional. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and felt welcomed. The office has a modern style that i really liked. Haven't seen that in a dentist office before. Dr. Edmond's is extremely knowledgeable and makes sure all questions are answered before doing anything. Going to the dentist is never my favorite thing, but my my experience at 4405 Dental Studio was exceptional. I am for sure going to recommend them to family and friends. read more

Dr. Edmonds, Bobby the hygienist were very patient and kind. Good sense of humor made the discomfort of visiting a dentist after 5 years diminish. I'm sorry I don't recall the receptionist name, she is friendly also. Everyone was polite and professional. I felt that my concerns were understood and addressed in a way that made sense to me. My initial visit (xrays, checkup, cleaning) went very well--everyone was very friendly and professional, and the office is very new and upscale.
