We stopped here for dinner due to a recommendation from a colleague in town. Upon walking in, you can immediately tell the restaurant prides itself at the deli counter. The menu is made of upscale deli items, including hot and cold sandwiches and side salads. They have a full bar with mostly local drafts and decent wine. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was pulled pork but with slaw and sliced pickles. A small serving it was not. Fortunately, I was hungry after driving up from Madison and ate the whole thing. The pork was smoky, not overdressed with bbq, and the pickles added the perfect punch of cool freshness. The potato salad was obviously homemade with Dijon, a little mayo, red onions, scallions and huge chunks of red potatoes. I'm not usually one to like potato salad, but this was delicious. CT's is great. It was my second visit today and we am stopped because last time I ordered the smoked salmon club and it was so amazing I keep thinking about it. However, when we got there we were both so freezing we decided to try a hot sandwich and I got the Reuben. It was also delicious! My husband got the Cuban and raved about that as well. I will come back soon to get my fix of that smoked salmon club I've been craving, but it's nice to know everything is good at CT's! The staff is great and the food comes quick. Just a tip, they have a crazy $40 Bloody Mary that serves 4 people. Most interesting is that they offer cooking classes and will resume in January in their brand new space next door. Lots of craft beers for the beer lover and a take out deli area that offers incredible smoked meats and cheeses. This place is a real gem. Easily 5 stars! read more

Found my new favorite place in Rhinelander, can't wait to go back! I met my mother-in-law for lunch here on a Wednesday at noon. I was greeted by multiple staff members when I walked in, even though it was pretty busy. While I waited a few minutes for her to show up, I had two staff members make sure that I didn't need anything. Great customer service truly speaks volumes. We ordered at the clearly-marked counter (thank you) and took a seat. They call your name from the deli counter where you pick up your food, fairly fast too. I had the grilled cheese of the week, Chicken Cordon Bleu. It was honestly perfection; crispy, chewy bread with melty cheese, ham, grilled white onion and dijon mustard. My mother-in-law had the avocado egg salad sandwich and loved it - very fresh tasting with red onion. We both had a cup of their Tailgator soup because it was so highly recommended. I loved the pieces of pretzel bread but I'm not sure I could've eaten more than a cup, very rich. There isn't a ton of seating here but tables turn over quickly and there is a decent sized bar as well. Decor is "busy" with lots of stuff to look at, but not overwhelming. I believe they have a full bar for drink service as well as bottled beverages and tap soda. I noticed they have smoked wings at the deli counter so I'm looking forward to trying those some time soon. read more

Ordered takeout for CT's Fish Fry for first time yesterday. It comes with CT's Mediterranean Tartar Sauce. I don't care for tartar sauce (hated it since I was a kid), but planned to use cocktail sauce at home. Before breaking out the cocktail sauce, I dipped a bit of the perfectly breaded and fried fish into the Mediterranean Tartar sauce. OMG, YUM! So glad I tried it. It's creamy, slightly lemony, and surpringly bright with a bit of dill. No heavy mayo or watery pickles making the crispy fish soggy. I am now a convert to CT's Mediterranean Tartar Sauce! Our first visit to CT's Deli was awesome. I had the corned beef and cabbage dinner - some of the best corned beef I've ever had. Everything was delicious, I could only eat 1/2 my meal - it was delicious the next day. She had the grilled panini, it was equally as spectacular. I am a fairly tough critic when it comes to restaurants given that I am surrounded by great ones in Chicago and I worked in several restaurants when I was younger. I needed a quick lunch and got a take out sandwich from CT's Deli yesterday and it was nothing less than excellent. The smoked salmon club with the warm flatbread is enough to just drive back for from our lake house 20 miles away. This was my first time and will not be my last. Stopped here on my way through town based on good reviews. It's a fun atmosphere and was busy on a Thursday midday. I give it five stars for the cookie and three stars for the turkey sandwich. I asked the woman taking my order which she recommended between the pulled pork and braised turkey and she said the turkey was a staff favorite.
