We stopped by this place for lunch in March. We were seated quickly and chose from a varied menu. I…read moreordered a Reuben sandwich and homemade chips and my partner had two sides, a cinnamon roll French toast and a fruit bowl. My Reuben had just the right mix of lean corned beef and sauerkraut. Real thousand island dressing came on the side, which is my preference. Portions are big here and the slices of rye were quite thick but surprisingly not overfilling. It was a very, very good sandwich and the homemade chips made it a great lunch entree. The cinnamon roll French toast also gets a good review for being tasty and the fruit bowl offered a good selection. The noise level was average and our dining experience memorable.

Bartender appeared to know everyone else there but us as first timers. It was a Wednesday night and the bartender was quite proud of the lasagna special with cheddar biscuits as the cook homemade even the sauce. We opted for burgers and homemade fries. My mushrooms were cooked in a burgundy tasting sauce for a bonus touch held on under the cheese but made it a little messy. We were waiting un-noticed at the host station. The couple before us sat themselves. We waited a bit then sat at a table. No one said "we will be with you"! The bartender proceeded to scold the couple ahead of us. The server/host never said boo to us or the other couple. The bartender was busy talking to regulars. We left when the bartender started scolding. Probably a great place for regular drinkers. If that keeps them afloat they have no worries!
