Fast and friendly service. We had the beet hummus as an appetizer and it was fresh and delicious. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the pulled pork special. The house chips were good. The food was fresh and filling. I enjoyed the decor and they had many large tables for bigger parties of people. An outdoor patio is available for when the weather is nice. read more

09/14/2026 We were there on a bad afternoon/evening(maybe)?!? We compliment the staff primarily the bartender for us choosing to leave and have an amazing meal at Tine and Cellar! We were waiting un-noticed at the host station. The couple before us sat themselves. We waited a bit then sat at a table. No one said "we will be with you"! The bartender proceeded to scold the couple ahead of us. The server/host never said boo to us or the other couple. The bartender was busy talking to regulars. We left when the bartender started scolding. Probably a great place for regular drinkers. If that keeps them afloat they have no worries! read more

Wonderful Gastropub. The set up of the ale house is roomy and vast, but decorated in a way that allows each couple or family to have an intimate meal together. The service was top-notch. Our waiter was attentive to our every need had a great sense of humor and made the experience very enjoyable. We had some of their house, specialty burgers, and my wife and I were both very impressed with the quality ,presentation and of course the taste of the meal. We definitely would go back next time we're in town. Great job keep up the wonderful service ,food , and experience. Thank you. read more

My cousin and I stoped here with our 6 kids on a Thursday for lunch. It was not busy. We were able to get a table and the waitress came over right away. She was very attentive. We ordered the giant pretzel and cheese curds and everyone enjoyed that. The kids had a pretty standard chicken tenders /fries and corndog and yogurt. They ate most of it, so that's food. I had the risotto, brussel sprouts, and salmon and it was really good. My cousin said the fish tacos were good too. I'd come back! read more

Wow! Love when I just stop into some random place and find a winner! Amazing service (friendly, attentive, prompt, pleasant), very yummy food, and great atmosphere. I had the pizza (they have gluten free!) but almost had a burger (they have gluten free buns!!). The decision was a challenge. Looking around, everyone else's food looked as delicious as mine. The crowd grew as the night went on. A lot of locals showed up so it was fun to see them socializing and laughing. The decor was unique and interesting. It's a cabin/farm/outdoor thing. I loved it! It was very inviting and welcoming. I'd love to find the light over the bar and tables (hint, hint if the owner reads this). I'll be back if I'm ever in town again! read more

This is such a hidden gem in Weston! Don't let the exterior or interior trick you thinking this is just another bar. It certainly is more than just a bar! I'm pleasantly surprised by the food menu with a modern twist. I ordered the seared tuna the first time I was here. Wow! So much flavors in this dish! I can taste the smokey chili pepper, sesame oil, green onion and sesame seeds!! So delicious and the tuna was seared to perfection!! The second time I had the smoked salmon flatbread. Loved the touch of dill on top! Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu too! I can say the beet burger is probably one of the best I've had. So savory and satisfying! You're not missing on flavor at all! Staff were all very friendly and attentive! A little disappointed that they ran out some of the popular items on the menu for Saturday dinner but I'll be back soon to try other delicious creations! read more

Food was very good. Prices are fair. Service was mid and wasn't the fastest but Will try again.

Had the Sconni's Pizza. Interesting. Lots of cheese on it. I would order again, but would be good with a little sriracha. Drinks were good too. Had Bourbon Old Fashioned with just soda press. Had to be educated on the different Old Fashions offered in Wisconsin. I wish I remembered our server's name, because she was great! I'll be back. read more

Came into town with the husband for a ski weekend getaway at Granite Peak and was looking for a place to eat close to our hotel. Sconni's met all of our requirements and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is super quirky in decor; bottles on the wall, books, casino type games, and a large event space in the back.. The service was really spectacular, everyone was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. For our starter we ordered the Spicy Brussels Sprouts- they were amazing. I got the Hawaiian Carnitas and my husband got The Elk burger. Our food was delicious. Our waitress said we ended up ordering some of her top menu choices. It was nice to come here on a Saturday nnight and get immediate seating. This place is a go to restaurant the next time we are here in Wausau. 1. They had a nice beer selection with several different kinds (IPAs, Sours, Porters, etc). 2. The seasonal veggies were (unexpectedly) the best part of my meal. Roasted to perfection. 3. The rice pilaf (I think) was also very tasty. 4. My breaded walleye was a less crispy than I like. This is the difference between 4 and 5 stars for me. 5. I'd go back to try more. read more

Let's start with what I loved- the flatbread featuring sweet potato purée, Brussel sprouts, goat cheese, candied bacon and onions. It was delicious! I didn't love the traditional burger I ordered. It was too salty for me and the patty wasn't juicy. It wasn't bad just not my style of cheeseburger I suppose. The best burger was very good. Maybe a tad mushy on inside but would definitely order again. Waitress was great and very attentive even though it seemed like she was doing everything! Love the unique options here - always look forward to it when I'm in the area. Last trip we went two days in a row.

In Wausau for the weekend, Sconni's was our second choice for a late dinner (a local Brewery had an hour 45 min. wait), but from now on, Sconni's will be our first choice. Walking in through the birches billiard area the tall birches are a nice northern Wisconsin touch. Service, from the Hostess stand to our server to everyone, was so nice. Our server explained the specials, told us a few things that she thought were good, and got my local craft beer order going while we looked at the menu. We went with a few of her recommendations: - Spicy (Brussel) Sprouts w/Habanero maple glaze (out of this world good) - Ahi Tuna with wasabi on rice was my dish, and it was amazing - Fish tacos- my son liked this dish with mango, but said it was just okay They've got a nice mixed drinks and craft beer list, and keep an Untappd list of their beer offerings, which is mostly local to Wisconsin- https://untappd.com/v/sconnis-alehouse-eatery/1565685 We loved sitting in the loft that had more birch log touches with library books, and could see ourselves coming back. For those that live in the area, how lucky you are to have Sconni's to return to often. read more

Came to Rothschild for a work meeting so naturally went on Yelp to find the best foods to try. I had a hankering for fried cheese and while most of the restaurants in Wausau seemed to have cheese curds on the menu, Sconnie's curds looked the tastiest. They nice bartender said they get the cheese directly from the cheese maker nearby so they are super fresh. They were the best fried cheese curds I've had fo sho. They serve them with ranch which is the only proper way to serve curds. Eating these made me proud to live in the cheesy state of Wisconsin. Also tried the Green Curry which has cauliflower, chickpeas, zucchini, saffron basmati rice, coconut green curry, herb oil and Dukkah (an Egyptian blend of spices). It had very good flavor and I loved the chickpeas in it. My only complaint was that the cauliflower and zucchini were too big and underdone making them hard to eat. Come here for the cheese curds! read more

You know a place has it going on when the bartender has a hip, eclectic style, the drinks are flowing, and the place is packed. Stopped at Sconni's for an after-dinner drink and ended up staying for more. The atmosphere in the outside bar was fantastic, with eclectic music served up by the bartenders, JENGA, a water fall, couches galore, and some fire tables. The whole vibe was excellent, and the tap beers tasted great. I started with Three Sheeps Tiki Torch and followed it up with a Blueberry Lemon Shandy. The passion fruit in the Tiki Torch hit just the right notes. When I went for the blueberry lemon shandy, the mouth feel wasn't quite right. Not enough carbonation, but an nice blast of blueberry and lemon. I have had pizza and burgers there before, so it was nice to just go for beers. Make this a stop when in the Wausau area, especially on a hot summer night... read more

Let me preface this review by saying that this is normally one of my favorite restaurants in the Wausau area. I normally bring people from out of town here because there is always a great selection of food and drinks. However, my most recent time here was not so good. We came on Sunday night for dinner with some people from out of town and the staff seemed a little flustered. I'll give them some credit, because they were pretty busy for a Sunday night, but it was a little slow with service. Our waitress was excellent in explaining what was taking so long, and it didn't really bother us because we weren't in a hurry, but some of the other tables didn't seem to like the wait. It also kind of seemed like new staff was being trained in. As for the food, there were some hits and some misses. We ordered the coconut curry hummus for the appetizer and it was excellent perfect way to start out the meal and a great presentation. For the entrees for our group, we ordered the Reuben sandwich, the elk burger and the fish tacos. The Reuben was pretty standard and well enjoyed. The elk burger was very good and probably what I should have ordered however, I normally love their fish tacos. This night however, the tacos were a mistake to order. The base is a cumin-chili cast iron grilled cod, which in the past has been perfectly seasoned. I don't know what happened this time, but it was more like clumps of cumin and chili smeared on the fish. I decided to pick the clumps off and just from the one taco there was over a tablespoon of seasoning. I took the other two tacos to go and will make them to my taste at home. This one not so great experience aside, I do normally love this place and will be back. I might just have to try something else from the menu. read more

Out-of-Towner that stopped in for a beer and some appetizers. Thanks to yelp for finding me this place. This place was packed and for good reason. The Mullins cheese curds were excellent. Some of the best I've had. The ahi tuna was also delicious and definitely worth stopping in to get. If I'm ever back in the area, expect me to visit again. Good atmosphere and food. The service is very good and nice selection of options on the menu without having too many selections. Although I have had a couple sub par meals here they seem to be on a busy night or due to new staff. Overall am happy eating here usually every other month. read more

Skip the fish tacos. The most bland, tasteless, disappointing meal I've ever had. Our newbie waitress was efficient and friendly.

Whenever we visit Wausau for a ski trip we stop by Sconni's for a great meal in a local restaurant, which we prefer over the larger chains. We really enjoy the food and the atmosphere as well as our waiter Steward who is friendly, funny, and as real as you can get. We will come back for more during our next visit!
