A limited food selection is made up by a thorough beer selection. A friendly bar tender and friendly locals rounded out the visit. A good sized TV behind the bar with great sounding speakers was kinda surprising. We all started with the salad bar which was clean and organized. They did end up running out of ranch dressing which was a disappointment but that was the only thing that fell short the entire evening. After the salads the four of us has the French onion soup which was better than most I've had. This was followed by our main course. Two of us has the 10 oz. Fillets, on had the 16oz ribeye and lastly one liver and onions. All the steaks were fabulous and the liver was also good from what I hear. There was no rushing, Karen our server timed out servings perfectly and the evening turned out spectacular. A big kudos to the Manager for getting us in. The prices have increased, but the quality and value have definitely gone in the opposite direction. I always ordered the Pub Special and could never finish it because the portions were so generous. This time, the portion was noticeably smaller, the bun was soggy, the sandwich had no flavor, and the au jus was only lukewarm. To make matters worse, fries are now an extra charge. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. A place that was once one of our favorites has lost the atmosphere, quality, and value that kept us coming back for so many years.
