Great cheese and other items to buy. The store was clean and staff was friendly. Candy and cheese well displayed.

We stopped in because we had a coupon welcoming us as new residents. We used the coupon for a free 1/2 lb of fudge. The clerk was sweet and accommodating. The little shop was nicely decorated and has the largest collection of spreadable cheese knivesI have ever seen. We also bought a box of a variety of fudge slices, bridge mix, malted milk balls (my husbands fav and he said these were the best he has ever had). For me I could hardly get one in my mouth and they had a thick layer of chocolate. Good but not something I could just pop into my mouth like my husband can. We got a gift box of chocolates for a gift. My husband tried one chocolate off the shelf and said it was really good. So we are hoping our friend likes hers. I have been working my way through the creamy fudge. It is delicious and they have a large selection of flavors. I ate the bridge mix but for me it had too many of the big malted milk balls, which I gave to my husband. To be fair the bridge mix was almost out in the caseso I was getting the bottom of the barrel. I would have liked more raisins and other nuts. We plan on stopping back to try out some of the cheeses and getting a cheese/sausage gift box. Will give another review on the cheeses. read more

A must if you love cheese. They gave free samples, and the women behind the counter couldn't have been nicer or more informative. They took a long time to help me sample and select, and they also took great care in packaging our cheeses. They gave a great recommendation of freezing the garlic cheese spread and packing in our checked baggage, and we utilized the frozen spread as an ice pack for the rest of the cheese. It all traveled perfectly during the trip home. The prices were very inexpensive for the high quality. read more

Lots of cheeses and everything is cut when you order. We ended up with about 5 different cheeses and a fudge. Everything we had was great! The 14 year cheddar was my favorite. They also have very spicy cheeses (ghost pepper) for those of you that seek heat. read more

This is a great shop to try before you buy quality and unique cheeses. I often go there and end up buying 3-4 wedges of different types of cheese to serve as appetizers. It's always a big hit with family and friends! read more

The Cheese Board is full of...cheese. Yes. All kinds of cheese. But that's not all. They also have spices, crackers, fudge, candies, jams, you name it. A bunch of food! We really wanted fudge, but the main fudge place around the corner was closed for the season. They send their fudge here to sell. They didn't have much of a selection, and we didn't feel like it was fresh. It's very expensive, and the people working there were not very helpful or friendly. They have some good, unique products that I haven't seen in a while or at other places. But the service was a turn off. Also, they have a minimum charge for credit cards, like many of the other shops in the area. read more

Ever tried Fenn Uusto cheese? I got some at this cute lil place went I went up to Wisconsin with the family and my husband's friends. The sales associates were really nice and the store was so neat and organized with samples and stuff but I went straight for the Fenn Uusto. I got hooked when my husband's friend, threw a big brick of it on the grill for us to try... It's cool cause it doesn't melt, just gets hot and crispy on the outside! I'm telling you it's sooooooo good!!! Though the packaging says that you can throw it in the microwave or oven I suggest the oven or grill cause I heated some up in the microwave last night and it got rubbery (ehw). read more

This cheese shoppe has the best selection of hard to find cheeses. All of the cheeses are of the utmost quality and taste. Even the more processed, spreadable cheeses, are above par, but do limit your consumption of such product :) I love the cheese accessories as well as the artisan cracker selection. I absolutely love this place! It's a must for me to visit when I get to Minocqua. The staff are all so friendly and patient, they allow you to sample their wide array of cheese as well. The cranberry Stilton was by far my favorite, their cheese curds are great as well, but they have the world's best chocolate covered peanuts! My bag of peanuts is getting low but they seem to be able to send gift baskets which I will definitely be looking in to. read more

This shop is so nice that it has inspired me to write one of my first non restaurant reviews. The shop is small so the selection is not extensive. As other reviewers have said they have an excellent selection of hard to find items. They have nine year old cheddar, which I have not been able to find in the Milwaukee or Chicago area. They also have venison sausage and Elk sausage. I have never even seen elk sausage. Don't miss the fine selection of milk, dark, and sugar free truffles. read more

This is a very nice shop, full of assorted cheeses, chips and specialty items from places like Robeert Rothschild (yay, OH!) I go here for the candy. I stopped in last week for some dark chocolate covered cranberries and malted milk balls, which are so good. I bought a couple of buttercreams and caramels on a whim, but those were not too tasty; kind of tasted "old". Not a bad stop if you need a few goodies. read more
