Great selection of produce, meat, prepared meals. We visited from out of town and were delighted by the selection of locally produced treats such as jams, bakery goods. Also picked up some great steaks to grill. Caribou Coffee shop in the store was a bonus. read more

They recently re-designed and updated the store with a grand opening. Store is always very clean, modern, and very stocked with a high variety of products. They also have a great organic section, a great bakery, a nice forest, and a wide selection of freshly cut meats. Masks are not required and we encountered no patrons or associates with masks on. The prices at the store as astronomical compared with other nearby places. Twice I had to come back because I was over charged on produce. Thursday June 22 I purchased a Roma sausage pizza. Two days later when I went to make it I saw the label said enjoy by 11/13/22. More than 7 months expired. I should have watched the dates closer because the week prior there were a couple of young men employees going through the dairy counter pulling expired foods and talking about their dates. read more

You might ask yourself what kind of jerk reviews a northwoods supermarket purely in terms of the sushi bar. It's me, I'm gonna be That Guy. But look, they put in a large sushi bar area and cooler case, so they're inviting it. The non-raw rolls are very good; I love the inari and california roll variants. Today, though I purchased a combo with a cooked roll and four pieces of tuna and salmon nigiri. When I cracked the lid, there was an immediate and aggressive fishy smell. I'm not talking about a little bit of a fish note if you pick it up and smell it, but a strong "I can smell this from three feet away, and it's not good" scent. The prep date on the label was today, the 21st. Good raw fish absolutely, 100%, should not ever, under any circumstances have that smell, especially if it's been flash-frozen and thawed correctly. I've eaten a decent amount of sushi in my life, and it's never smelled like this. My suspicion is they're preparing too much, too fast and it's being allowed to sit for too long. I would be very, very wary of the raw rolls. If you want good nigiri, just go downtown to Kobe Sushi, and avoid the dodgy tuna and salmon rolls here. read more

The North Woods Trig's locations are OK and nicer and more attractively laid out than Walmart. However, Walmart has better prices and there is one right next to the Trig's in Minocqua. Trig's does have some exclusive items though which are not available at Walmart. Their exclusive brand of Smokehouse sausage and meats are available. I especially like the natural casing Old World summer sausage. It is the best summer sausage I have ever had and I have only seen it exclusively available at Trig's. Stone Ridge used to make this sausage and Trig's sold it before their Smokehouse brand started making it. It is available in spicy and regular, which simply has the word spicy omitted from the label. To me the spicy is not hot, but surprisingly I prefer regular. The liquor selection is extensive and superior to what is available at Walmart. The Eagle River location features an in store Caribou Coffee with limited seating. The Minocqua location has a separate Caribou Coffee within the same building with more extensive and comfortable seating. If you are shopping in Eagle River, I think Kroger Pick'N Save has better prices. read more

Liquor store only - and do they have some stuff. Large selection of liquor and wine (and everything else). Went specifically for any bourbon and whiskey deals and they had some solid stuff. Pricing is decent. Take a look when your in town. read more

My family was refused service. We were also accused of being suspicious. They were very rude to us and not reasonable

Today I purchased a bag of pita bread. When I tried to make dinner, I discovered that the product was moldy. Not just one spot but thoroughly moldy inside. I spoke with the store manager on the phone (after talking to 2 other people, waiting on hold 4 times and being disconnected) and he was unable to refund my money. I asked if he wanted to see the product but he said no. Customer NO service and seemingly no interest (from anyone) in checking the shelves to make sure there are no other spoiled products being sold. I have shopped at Trigs for 10 years and witnessed a steady decline for the past 3. I can't trust Trig's for fresh, quality product any longer. I am not spending my money driving to your store to return spoiled food and provide you with your paperwork simple because you are not able to issue a refund over the phone like other businesses can. read more

Stopped in at Trigg's in Minocqua. I noticed that some employees had masks on and others did not. When I asked my checker and bag person why some people didn't where their masks- I heard 2 different responses. The bagger proudly said that he was vaccinated and employees that were vaccinated didn't have to wear masks any more. The checkout person- had a different response and eluded to that that might not be true- I.e. that she was not vaccinated. I have to really wonder how Trigg's could allow an employee to say that. That manager stated that it was a privacy issue. I stated that corporate Trig's - I.e.. their employees should state that Trigg's and their employees follow CDC guidance and would never jeopardize their customers. Trig's is our stop to stock up on groceries every time we go up north - even though it's 1.5 hours away fom our final destination we stop here instead of somewhere closer. The store is huge, clean and blessed with just about everything we need: beer, beef sticks, cheese, beer, Pringles, frozen pizza and beer. If you are classier then me (that would be most of you) they have an amazing wine department as well. Staff is nice and helpful. read more

OVERPRICED. Most everything is a good 20% to 40% more than Walmart. You can even buy soda cheaper at the gas station convenience stores in the area. Now to add insult to injury, they have dropped pump perks from $0.02 a gallon to $0.01 a gallon! Not a great local company either... most employees make minimum wage, few full timers so they don't have to pay anyone any benefits, and then they give them a %5 discount off their inflated prices. I guess the Solberg family just needs more money to try to ram through their water bottling wells and such. NO MORE TRIG'S. We need a County Market or Sav-More in Rhinelander! read more

Trig's To Go is a mess. I just spent 25 minutes trying to place an order. Every time I chose an item it asked for my address. The website is super jumpy. Constantly kicking you out of functions and requiring you to redo inputs. After all this, I attempted to check out. It again asked for my address and after I had chosen a delivery time, I found that my cart had been zeroed out leaving only one item. Do the managers of Trig's ever attempt to use this? A horrible frustrating experience. read more

Fantastic produce department. It's gigantic compared to our store and I live in a major metropolitan city! We got some raspberries and Rainier cherries - both on sale. They had a lovely little floral department, too. I've never seen peonies available as cut flowers before. Lots of pretty choices. All of the things we needed were on sale or had comparable prices to those back home. The bakery was totally picked over and we couldn't find anything (which is probably a good thing). They also have a liquor store/department attached to the store. Huge selection but hard to find someone to help us or ring us up. Overall, a really nice store. read more

Be very careful, we were overcharged THREE times in the last several months for the frozen shrimp that was "on sale." The first two times I was contacted and reimbursed for my trouble. The third time, I was promised reimbursement for my trouble and got nothing. Their prices are higher as it is a tourist town, and we only stop there if we happen to be driving through (we live 40 miles north). I love Trigs. I love what they've done to the place since I've moved away from the area. I love all the dips (BEER CHEESE DIP, YAY!) they have ready made, their cheese selection is pretty decent and they have quite an extensive bakery section. I may never get over them no longer carrying the cherry bagels I pretty much survived on in high school... but I'll be ok eventually. Cellar 70 is incredible. Their wine selection is outstanding and I love their mix and match 6 packs, their beer selection is great. Their hard cider section could use a bit of help, but it's good enough. Trig's has recently put through an updated computer system for its Trig's to Go and it is a pure disaster! The system is constantly being "updated" so you have difficulty putting through an order, selecting a delivery time, and you can no longer get Pumps Perks Points! The company obviously never fully tested this and things were fine before. I plan to move my shopping to the Save-More in Minocqua. read more

Over priced! They higher prisoners from a camp to some stock shelves, those men only get a few dollars a day. So with that in mind. Why is the cost so high? Yet another place claiming to be more than it is. I think its very luck other businesses are connected to the building. Lunch time buffet, 6.95 per pound. What a store! Very organized, every section of the store is clean and everything is fresh, from the deli to the meat department. Honestly, I travel for a living and this store caught my eye, I even had pick up a salad at the salad bar because again, everything was super fresh and delish. They had Mexican theme night, event that looked tempting, the baked chicken was moist with great flavor, they do a different theme every night of the week. I brought some wild Alaskan Cod on sale what a deal, all he seafood looked amazing. The bakery and all the donuts and cakes looked so good, I had to try stop myself, since I was dieting. Honestly with the selection of items they have I felt no need to even go to a restaurant and the next time I'm in the area this is where I'm shopping. It was not only amazing looking at the deli but everything in the store just had me in WOW. Everyone in the store was smiling and helpful. read more

I was pleasantly surprised after popping into Trig's to get some unsuspecting raw meat to grill up while we were camping in the north woods. Being from Chicago, I didn't know what to expect. I was quietly hoping they'd have possum or squirrel..but then I did remember that this was up north, not the deep south. People are friendly up here! The service was great, and they have everything you'd need from a grocery store. I loaded up on raw ground beef and brats. I even grabbed some 12 packs of Spotted Cow. Score! read more

I enjoy Trig's; they have recently finished a complete renovation of the whole center and some interior updates as well. They now have an entire organic/healthy living section near produce and have new coolers with doors in the cheese/freezer area. As usual, everyone is very friendly and helpful here. They don't have a very good organic selection and what they do have is extremely overpriced. If you're looking for a good and reasonably priced organic selection, go to Wild Berry and Save More. They have much better selections. Also, there's a manager at Trig's that is really rude. If you eat organic food, don't waste your time even stopping in here. read more

A recent stay in the area prompted a rethink of Trig's. The produce this time seemed to be consistently good. The small section of organic/natural products is well thought out. There was a surprisingly good selection of non-DEET mosquito products. The refillable gallon water jugs added a bit less plastic to the world, and reusing their paper grocery bags gets you 5 cents back apiece. All the fellow campers that I brought here were impressed, especially given the location. Yes, you could focus on little other than frozen pizza, beef sticks, cheese, and beer, as another Yelper did. But if you expand your focus, you will likely find what you are looking for. read more

I don't live in minocqua permanently anymore but usually have to stop in at some point to get food for dinner. It seems like they are always overcharging. For instance, you pick out something that's supposedly on sale, only to find out after you leave and check the receipt that you weren't given the sale price, or it didn't apply for whatever reason and it's too late to go back in to get a refund. read more
