What…read moresets this place apart from other gyms I've been apart of is their progressive programming and the incredible sense of community they've built. The programming here stood out to me when I first joined. Jorge and the other trainers are not just knowledgeable, but you can tell they genuinely care about your progress. Whether its your first workout class, or you've been an experience veteran, they tailor the workouts to suit your level and constantly challenge you to make progress. You have your build days (strength/core focus) and your burn days (cardio endurance) so there is definitely a variety--keeping things fresh and exciting. It's not just about how heavy your lifting the weight. What truly sets this gym apart is the sense of community. The members here are very supportive and friendly, and the more I attend class the easier it's been for me to stay consistent. From fitness challenges to different community gatherings (taco trucks, san pedro social, xmas parties) theres always something exciting happening, keeping me motivated throughout the year. The facilities are pretty clean, the gym equipment is updated (brand new sets of kettlebells, new rogue rigs, and rogue weight plates) theres also a second room thats fully equipt with power racks, cable pulleys, FID benches, dumbbells up to 120lbs, cardio equipment. All in all if your looking for a gym that offers a supportive community and excellent programming Brickhouse is the spot to be. The trainers are knowledgeable, the members are like friends/family and the overall atmosphere is incredibly postiive.

I was so impressed that each workout starts out with intentional warm-up stretches followed by the workout of the day with great music and excellent coaches. The workouts are also progressive and build on one another and are always different. This keeps it fresh and fun! The coaches demo all the moves, provide modifications as needed and encourage everyone to be their best. I've been going 4-5x's a week and am 4 months in. My morning workouts have become a habit I want to instill for life. I've seen weightloss results and more importantly, I've become stronger and am lifting heavier than I thought I could. The people are awesome, all friendly and supportive. It's an all around great community and I always feel so good after the workouts! All the latest research points to the importance of strength training and women lifting heavy to prevent muscle loss, increase bone density and thrive as we age! This place provides the guidance, accountability and support that makes that possible. Thank you to coach Jorge, coach PJ and the team at Brickhouse for creating a fun and focused environment for workouts and healthy living. You've got to check this place out and there's no other class like a class at Brickhouse!

FNS Training Center - Santa Clara…read more I recently dropped in for a 5AM class at FNS, and even from just one session, it's clear this place is built different. Right away, I noticed the tight-knit camaraderie. There's a strong sense of community that honestly feels even more connected than other group fitness gyms like F45. As a first-timer, I felt welcomed from the start. The energy is on another level. The headset mic system helps amplify coaching across the large floor space, making the session feel clear and high-energy. Coach Brenden's shout-outs during the workout were electric--you could tell everyone was feeding off it. After class, Kim at the front desk was incredibly helpful--she walked me through a tour and went over my InBody results in detail. That kind of individual attention isn't something you always get, and it really stood out. My wife joined me for the class too (she had to rush out early since she works in Menlo by 6:30 AM), but we were both impressed by the vibe and professionalism. On a personal note--I've admired Brian Nunez from afar since meeting him a couple of times back in the 2006-2008 Club One / Active Sports Club days. It felt full-circle finally stepping into the space he's built. He's become a truly respected leader in the fitness industry, and FNS absolutely reflects that vision. As someone turning 40 this year, raising a 4-year-old and a teen, and down 70+ lbs since April 2024, fitness isn't just about reps for me--it's about reclaiming my life. FNS brings that intention, energy, and leadership I respect deeply. Whether you're starting fresh or leveling up--FNS is the real deal.

I can foresee myself staying at FNS for a long time and look forward to future results ;)

The music was good, the equipment was clean, and the whole place had a cool vibe. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it felt a little crowded, and the class moved pretty fast if you're still learning how everything works. I've done a ton of workout classes similar to this and I think it'd be tough for anyone wanting to start working out if they don't already do some level of activity. It's definitely more expensive than a regular gym, so I probably wouldn't go every day, but it's fun to mix in every now and then when you want to push yourself. Definitely solid!

The studio was also very appealing to the eye. Inside is clean, bathrooms were stocked with all the necessary items after a class, and the workout room itself was dark with red LED hues which made the class even better. Cade was the instructor that taught the class and he came in bringing all the right energy! His playlist was more of a bonus as it fit so well with the tempo of the class. Cade was able to introduce himself and allow all members to adjust/familiarize themselves with the equipment before starting the session. In addition, he recognized the new comers to the class which I thought was a nice touch towards the end which was definitely more encouraging and enticing to come back again. The class itself was super fast pace where you are alternating from the treadmill to the free weights section. Overall, if you are looking for something with high intensity workouts, this is the spot for you!

And here's yet another five-star review for WESTCA…read more Like a lot of people, I spend far too much time sitting behind a computer. After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes it easy to stay consistent. If you're looking for a gym, WESTCA is an easy recommendation.

I originally planned to train with Adam for just 3 months, but the amount of progress and muscle growth I saw in that short time was insane, so I decided to keep going. What makes Adam such a great trainer is how flexible and dedicated he is. I travel a lot and work a demanding software engineering job, but he's always willing to adjust schedules and make things work. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does. Even on days we don't train, he still checks in, gives me pointers, and helps me stay on track. He also does a great job tailoring workouts to your specific needs and constantly adds different exercise variations to keep things effective, challenging, and fun. Every workout feels personalized instead of repetitive. The gym itself is amazing too -- it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, plus all the little extras that make training better. Everything is always incredibly clean and spotless, which makes the environment even more motivating to be in. On top of all that, Adam keeps workouts fun and motivating. We always have great conversations, and over time he's become more than just a trainer, he's become a friend too. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to level up their fitness.

The way it worked is you go in with a movement assessment and then decide what you want to do. Semiprivate (4 people to a class) or 1-1. This review is about the semiprivate experience. So in a semiprivate you have up to 4 other people, the gym doesn't have any other people working out at the same time I don't think and you can sign up for mornings or evenings. Each week is different and it's a full range of body motions starting off with a warm up and stretching progressing into strength. For each exercise the coaches have step downs or step ups depending on where you are at. Additionally there is a wide range of folks from long time (years) to beginners like me and everyone has a wide range of skills and abilities. (For me I have knee and back issues and I was worried I'd feel out but nope it's really good) The community of folks is very encouraging and you can be quiet or encourage others. After 12 weeks, I'll revisit and share the feels but especially for folks who do a lot of sitting in their job I think this is a great workout. It's perfect for my ADHD brain in that I don't have to think about and plan the workout, I can trust the process and it's kept my brain engaged (I go twice a week and each set has been different).
